Even Balla had some morals. The splicer would either kill a bunch of human people, and odds are that was more likely, or it would damn them to a life they did not want and possibly feared. And the chaos that would erupt from it alone? She could see why Magneto wanted it now. They just had to ensure Scarlet Witch didn't leave with it. "And you would have gotten away with it too if it weren't for us me-" Before she could finish her witty response, Bella heard the sound of an explosion over the comms.

She turned to look at Sapphire, a small, growing sense of worry in her gut. She sprang into action and used the butt of her gun against Quicksilver's temple, knocking him out. "Take care of him quickly and I'll meet you at the lab." She turned and ran from the room, making a beeline for the lab. She dreaded what she would find there.

Once inside, she aimed her gun at no one, seeing Scarlet Witch on the ground, wounded from physical assault. Wesley was holding on to Watts, and judging from Watt's demeanor, it was easy to see who attacked Wanda. Though her eyes drew to a spot on the ground. A spot that looked like an explosion happened on it. She glanced around. "Where's Andrew?" She looked around at the others, though she had a feeling she knew the answer.

The Lab
There wasn't a response from Andrew at all. If the group looked around the room, they wouldn't be able to see any signs of him, he just disappeared. Though Watts would be able to figure out why that might be the case, as the same blast that had ended up causing the splicer to explode had also seemingly caused severe damage to Andrew's suit. It wasn't too hard to guess that the explosion from the splicer had caused a chain reaction of sorts that could have caused his already damaged suit to explode making the explosion bigger.

They'd be able to hear footsteps outside in the hallway coming towards them, and after another few moments, Gardner walked into the room and glanced around at the chaos that had ensued from the fighting. Not to mention the explosion that had occurred, the group was lucky they didn't have to deal with any other fires or something. "What happened here?" she asked, stepping over to a few pieces of metal that were on the ground. "...And what exactly exploded?" she added, before she picked up a few metal fragments that were on the ground near her.

That feeling Wesley had earlier about Gardner not telling everything she knew was still there, and now everyone else would get that same sort of feeling. As if the woman knew more about the entire situation, but no one would be able to tell what exactly it was that she wasn't really telling them, and who knew if she'd ever tell them.

"Alright, I'll be along fairly soon, and I'll be dragging him along in order to ensure he won't get away... An explosion in a facility like this is never a good thing..." she said, nodding her head at Belladonna as she watched the girl leave the room. Sapphire was more then a little concerned as to what could have happened upstairs to cause the explosion, but she had a different job to do first, and that task was to deal with a certain annoying little speedster. The guy had taken a serious beating and was now out cold, so it shouldn't be too difficult.

Her hands started swirling with a sort of cold, frost colored air, and she pointed her hands at him. His legs instantly got encased in a block of ice, to stop him from moving, and to hopefully slow down his accelerated healing. Grabbing onto his arm, Sapphire started dragging him along out of the room which was still partially frozen over, and she knew that she'd have to see about fixing that later. Right now, she dragged Pietro along towards the elevator, figuring that she'd get to the lab more easily that way, since she wouldn't be dragging Quicksilver up and down stairs.

John Watts

Location: Serval Industries - R&D Lab
Skills: Superhuman Speed, Hand to Hand Combat
Watts didn't care whether or not it was appropriate to beat the life out of the Scarlet Witch right now. "I don't give a rat's ass what you think!" he snapped, shoving Wesley violently off of him. His face was a blur, his eyes were red, and his voice was distorted, as he was moving so fast that the sound was warped. The others were in the room now, asking where Andrew was and all Watts wanted to do was rip out Wanda Maximoff's heart and crush it in front of her brother. "He's dead. You can thank the druggie and her boyfriend for that!" he spat. "Fire them both or I quit," he added to Gardner harshly. He was fairly certain she would concede to his threat - especially with Andrew gone, they didn't have much of a R&D department left.

The explosion must have set off a chain reaction on Andrew's poorly constructed suit. He spotted the shards in Gardner's hand and he tried to zip forward to grab them, tripping and nearly falling in the process. As he was getting up though, he managed to grab them. He was going to comb through all of them later, in order to see if he could find anymore evidence as to what had happened to Andrew - or at least recover the information on Andrew's final hour. He didn't want the little cupcake enthusiast to have died in vain. He didn't trust Gardner with the shards, as she was giving him a slightly uneasy feeling. Besides, she wasn't a scientist. She wouldn't know the difference between graphite and concrete if it hit her over the head, for example.

Evelyn looked down for a moment when she heard what Watts had said what happened to Andrew, it was bad enough that they had lost one of their own on their first mission as well. She wasn't there to see what had happened in their fight as she glanced at both Bobbie and Wesley she would probably ask their end of the story when things settled down. She turned her attention over towards the elevator as Gardner came into the lab demanding what had caused the explosion in the first place. Though something was really off about her she just couldn't place it right now.

"The Maximoff twins were after the Splicer down here, and Andrew managed to destroy it in the fight somehow causing the explosion which also took his life." Evelyn answered, as she looked over towards Watts as he went to smack the fragments that Gardner had picked up, Evelyn walked over towards Watts and gently rested her hand on his shoulder to try and comfort him as well.

She stood stock still before she retrieved her hammer in a dazed like state. Bobbi was slowly processing what had happened here and it was all coming together. Tears pricked the corners of her eyes as she hefted the weight of the hammer over her shoulder. When Gardner came in she had the sense to show the guilt she was starting to feel. She had failed. Good god, someone had died. She really wanted a hit of something. Anything. A cigarette. Yeah that would do...

And then Watts spoke.

And Bobbi shattered.

She rounded on him, her eyes filled with tears which were beginning to smudge her make-up. Her footfalls were steady as she approached the manufactured speedster. Her shoulders were hunched as her stance became predatorial. The hammer's staff was worked in her palms as she rubbed over them as if she were a baseball player refining her grip. Her body was shaking with the rage and grief she felt. Bobbi had only known Andrew a short while but he was one of two people here, maybe three, who treated her with any decency or kindness.

She swung the hammer. It had not been her intention to truly hit Watts. Just throw her weight around so to speak. And throw it around she did. Her body, under a barrage of emotions she refused to usually deal with, followed the hammer and she fell to the ground at Watts' feet. Her face burned with her embarrassment and a choked sob escaped her lips. "Fuck you. You were here too you fucking fuck. If this is my fault its your fucking fualt too you pompous, egomaniacal, sociopath!" Her words rose in pitch until she screeched out the word 'sociopath.' She then turned her gaze up at the man. "Fucking quit. I'm not gonna. Cuz I don't back out on my people like that. I don't throw the blame and I want to see the Witch burn." She stood, standing in front of the scientist - quite tiny in comparison. Tears streamed freely down her face. "Don't let the door hit you on the way out, coward." She flipped him the bird right in his beady, red, stupid eyes before storming over to the witch, dragging her hammer behind her, and searching for something to tie the bitch up with.

Wesley let go when the speedster became too much to hold. He held his arms up in a placating position - think Chris Pratt trying to calm velociraptors. His eyes burned cold as he watched the man lose his shit. When he mentioned the death of their teammate being his and Bobbi's fault. Her immediately bristled and a low growl escaped his throat. He understood the man was upset, he was speaking from pure emotion. But with Watts he likely meant it.

It was too much for Bobbi it seemed. Wes lowered his arms as he watched the girl attempt an attack on Watts which failed miserably. He did not intercede in her rant and let her go take care of the very unconscious and bloody woman. He turned his attention back to Gardner. "I am not totally sure myself ma'am. It seems I arrived too late to be of any help." He brushed his hand through his hair as he looked over the mess in the lab. "I think once these two calm down a bit we can get some sort of story. If you don't mind, I will take that over and report to you." He didn't want her to get any information he was not comfortable with her having in his hands.

Bella had a feeling she knew the answer before it was shared, but it still was a shock to hear. Not that she let it register, apart from a widening of the eyes a bit. Either way, it seemed Andrew was no more and the unconscious and beaten Scarlet Witch was the culprit. She could hardly blame Watts' anger, but anger often led to stupid decisions and she knew he was smarter than that. Even with Gardner entering the scene, she could tell he needed a few moments to cool down.

"Flying off in anger will not do anything to bring him back. We have them both unconscious and can hold them for questioning as to why they were here, but beating her almost to death would not resolve it." She spoke to Watts, calmly. She addressed Bobbi then. "I was not here, but it seems that you played some roll in this, so perhaps take some time for yourself to determine what happened and where it went wrong."

She then moved towards Gardner. "I suggest we allow everyone to cool off before we come together to discuss what occurred here. And by that, I mean everything since it seems you know more about all of this than you were originally leading us to believe. I think it would go along way into establishing some trust to disclose this information to us, so as to prevent what happened to Andrew in the future. For now, I will help Sapphire secure Quicksilver." With that, she left the room and made a call to Sapphire via comms. "Sapphire, coming to you to help secure Quicksilver. Andrew was blown up apparently with the splicer and Scarlet Witch is out for the count too. Gardner seems to not be sharing all the information she knows."

The Lab
Gardner shook her head slightly at Watts snatching the metal out of her hands. She simply put her hands to her side. "You need a few days to calm down, actually... All of you do. I want all of you to take a week or so, and Watts. We can talk about that later, at the end of your little vacation, but you all need one. Everyone needs to calm down, you can't change the past at all, so you need to learn to deal with it and perhaps learn from it."

With that, she headed out the door again, "He might be gone, but you all are helping no one if you decide to just fight against one another like this. You all need to learn to deal with one another and work together, and fast. Otherwise whose to say something like this won't happen again, however that is just my observation," she responded to the others, and it would seem that she was telling the truth about that. However there was still that slight feeling that she wasn't telling them everything, but she said nothing else as she left the room.

"Of course she is, because why the hell wouldn't she? Honestly, there is something seriously wrong about that woman," Sapphire responded, stopping in the hallway where she was currently dragging along Quicksilver. The words about Andrew's death hit her hard. Andrew had always been the one sort of person around Serval who was kind of nice to everyone, even if they weren't very nice to him. The fact that he of all people was the one who was gone, it was a horrible feeling.

"...Quicksilver is secured for the most part, he's not going anywhere any time soon... I'm in the hallway outside of Gardner's office, I was dragging Quicksilver towards the lab where everyone else was," she added to Bella, saying nothing else. She didn't really know what else to say to everyone else. After all, they had their first mission, and it ended horribly and someone was dead because of it. There wasn't anything to really say anymore, or really do.

John Watts

Watts wasn't expecting for Evelyn to put her hand on his back. While he did like her, his mind was just filled with rage at the moment over the circumstances that caused Andrew's death - and the destruction of his lab! The lab was his one true love and then Andrew was the little cupcake eater. He didn't ever really show affection towards Andrew, but he tolerated his presence and did not protest too much if Andrew was in the lab by himself. For Watts, that meant a lot. He didn't like Andrew, he was annoyed by him, but he respected him. He did not respect Bobbi or Wesley by any means.

Bobbi swung her hammer, failing to hit him and instead falling to the ground at his feet. She screamed at him, before finally flipping him off. Wesley didn't even say anything. Belladonna was surprisingly level headed and had he not been pure rage at the moment, he would have been proud of her. Gardner was no help at all. She didn't seem to think that he was serious about his threat of quitting - he was. "Little girl, what help were you? You threw squeaky toys at the Scarlet Witch, as if that would do anything! It should have been you who died in the explosion, not Andrew. At least your death would have increased the collective intelligence of the team," he snapped, before turning his glare to Wesley. "And you - where the hell were you? You were needed here in the lab. Your inaction killed Andrew. I hope that that truth eats at you each night, until you beg for a bullet in the brain."

"Now - get the HELL out of my lab!"

He was a little slower than normal, as the serum was waning off, but he raced everyone outside of the lab and then ran back into the lab, locking the doors to keep them all out. His eyes darted over towards Andrew's work station. Watts raced over there and in a fit of anger, he threw everything off of Andrew's desk, letting it clatter and break as it hit the ground.

Bobbi ignored Belladonna. Stupid little girl. What the fuck did she know? She was right, she hadn't been here. She had no part to play in this little scene. She should go off and play with her dollies and swords or something. Bobbi was having trouble thinking straight and seeing was increasingly difficult with the tears that were coming into her eyes. She was kneeling beside the Witch, wondering what she should do. She wanted to wrap her hands around Watts' neck. The Witch's neck. Someone needed to pay. Watts seemed to agree.

If looks could have killed, the glare she shot over her shoulder at the man would have knocked him dead in an instant. She made a hissing sound with her tongue in her teeth while she trembled with her grief and rage. "Don't you think I already fucking know that?" she screamed at him. But the fight was over. Watts had sped her out of the room, leaving her feeling a bit nauseous and dizzy. Bobbi didn't wait to see if the others were sped out as well. She took off running, forgetting her hammer was left in the lab.

Her feet had taken her down this path hundreds of times. During the day. In the night. She didn't think, just cried and ran. She slowed as she came to the roof access door and walked out into the failing light. Now that she was here, her gait became a wobbly walk - ask if she had drunk to excess. The dirty, gravel and tar lining crunched beneath her shoes. She made it to the edge of the roof as the wind scooped up and twirled her hair about her head. The bitter cold of the night air chilled her and chapped her cheeks. Leaning over the edge she looked down on the city life that whirred on around her while her tears made the descent from her face to the ground far below. It marred her make-up, smudging her face.

Bobbi climbed onto the edge and sat down, her feet dangling. She leaned back and brought her face to the starry night sky and let out a howling scream of rage. Of sadness. Of tiredness. She brought her face to her hands and sobbed uncontrollably. She hardly knew the guy. She had made no effort to get to know him. He had been a nice enough person though. He hadn't deserved it. Watts was right. It would have been better if it had been her. Everyone here would be happier. She wouldn't have to deal with the tumultuous emotions that were ripping her apart and fraying the seams of her psyche. Everyone would have their stupid, silly uncle-like dork of a friend. And no one would have to put up with Druggy Mac-hot-mess-enstein.

After a while, her sobs abated and she dug through her pants pockets to find her mangled pack of cigarettes and a zippo lighter. It took her a few tries because her hands were shaking so badly and the cold of the air had numbed her fingers. She inhaled the sweet smoke deeply and blew it out with a slow, shaky breath. The tears threatened to spill from the corners of her eyes again she quickly swiped the back of her hand over her them.

Wes nodded at Gardner's statement. They had barely started and already a vacation was recommended. They had just lost someone after all. He wondered if there would be a funeral. He scrubbed a hand over his face and went to help Bobbi with Wanda. He easily hefted her into his arms before he was ushered out of the door by Watts at top speed. He was in the hall just in time to see Bobbi's feet disappear around a corner. This left Wes with their enemy. "I'll go put her away then," he said to the others and gestured with his chin to the comatose woman he carried.

A quick adjustment and he held her more stably against his chest, almost in a bridal position. Without looking back he carried Wanda down the halls until he reached the confinement chambers. He set up a cell for her, making sure she would have the things she needed to keep her comfortable - pillows, blankets, water. He also set about properly caring for her bruises and cuts. He cleaned and bandaged her and kept cool compresses to the particularly nasty bruises on her face.

The slow actions gave him time to think things through. He had been late. He hadn't gotten there in time. He had stalled, stayed behind. Torn between protecting the guests, getting more information out of Gardner, and going directly to the scene of the crime. This woman that he cared for with gentle hands had been the downfall of his teammate. Well, he still didn't have the whole story. Perhaps she was not completely at fault. Just because she was the enemy did not mean she had necessarily acted with such evil.

He brushed her tangled red hair from her face. No. The person he truly blamed for this situation was Gardner herself. There was something so completely off about this. He needed more information on that woman. He would get proper revenge for Andrew. A good, lawful sort of revenge. Droplets of water fell onto the Witch's face. Wes' eyes widened and he looked up, expecting to see a leak. Instead, tears rolled down his cheeks. He hastily wiped them away and then cleaned them from the Witch's face. He would be sure to get this woman's side of the story too.

Evelyn watched as both Watts and Bobbi were both arguing amongst each other, closing her eyes and letting out an annoyed sigh and rubbed the bridge of her nose. Yes it was a bad situation since they did just lose a member of their team on their very first mission as well, she turned to stare at Gardner for a moment saying that they were all ordered to take a vacation off. Which probably would do a little bit to try and calm things down with the rest of the team. Then Watts yelled at everyone and then they were all taken out of the lab, leaving her just outside of the door.

Then she heard the lock on the door just as it closed looking at the others for a moment she still got the feeling that something was off with Gardner. "I'll, just stay here and make sure Watts doesn't do anything dumb or stupid." Evelyn said to everyone as she walked over and leaned herself up against the wall just by the lab. Pausing for a moment as she could hear a crashing sound coming from the lab as well.

Bella had ignored Bobbi. It was better that way because in any other scenario Bella would have punched her lights out and that would not look good on either of them. So she remained quiet as she went off before storming off on her own. Bella had started her peace and left it at that. There was no sense in getting angry or antsy, flying off the handle like that. The damage was done.

She gave a cursory glance at the spot Andrew stood in before she left and spoke to Sapphire. She had never talked to the man much, but she was sad he was gone. Yes, even she felt emotions, she just didn't ever feel the need to show as much. After all, she just had a front-seat view of what unleashing your emotions does to you. But yes, she was sad. Upset even. He was a decent guy and now he was gone.

"I'll come help you. Hold on." She quickly made her way to Gardner's office, tempted to snoop inside while she was away, but opted to help Sapphire drag Pietro to his sister and to decide what to do with them. "Shall we?" There wasn't much more to say in this scenario. What was done, was done.

Outside of Serval - Several Hours Later

Two people gathered outside of Serval Industries, it had been only a few hours since the incident involving the Brotherhood attacking the facility during the gala. One of the two women had just exited the building, not triggering security in anyway as she went, carrying a case of sorts with her. The other woman gave her a stone cold look, almost like she was more annoyed then anything. "So, have you found a way to fix the slight miscalculation in our plans Martinique?"

"Yes... I believe my sister and I have, the incident ending the way it did with the Brotherhood was... Unexpected to say the least, however we may have found a way to turn this into a potential success."

"You better have Mastermind, my patience is growing thin... The goal was to simply have the Brotherhood distract the X-Factor buffoons, but instead they destroyed the one thing we actually wanted to keep intact. The idiots, we told them specifically not to enter the CEO office, but of course any child of Magneto cannot follow even the most simplest of instructions."

"Yes... Well, we might have turned this into a bit of a roaring success."

"I am guessing this success has something to do with what is inside of the case you carry and why you asked to meet me out here? You clearly took something from Serval, so what was so important that could make up for this mistake that causes you to bring us out here, where we constantly have to use our abilities to make sure we are hidden from prying eyes."

"Oh, believe me, this will definitely be worth the trip... I have also spent some time while in the area to set up a base of sorts for our operations... The Sisterhood will do something that Magneto and his goons have failed to do... Make the world a better place for all of Mutant kind."

"I certainly hope so... How are things going for dear Regan within the walls of Serval Industries? I would suspect fairly boring..."

"Oh, things are going quite well, the X-Factor team that she controls, as well as our mole among them, causes great issue within them. They are more then a little divided, given what happened to one of their members."

"That is a good thing. Their division will be their undoing, and in due time, Regan will be able to leave this wretched place and join us and the others... So let's take our leave and go to this base you have set up nearby. Our mole has their orders, and us being closer will make it easier for them to give us any new information that may prove useful. Your sister has sent us the files on the roster of the team correct?"

"Yes she has, and the facility is not far," the woman called Mastermind said, before she started walking away. The other woman glanced back once more at the Serval building, this time with a slight smirk.

"If only they knew just how useful they are to us, it would definitely make things more interesting in the long run. We'll be able to do whatever we want, and they won't be able to stop us," she mused, before following after Mastermind.

1 Month Later

It had been a grand total of 4 weeks since the team's last, and so far only mission, went so horribly wrong. Despite Watts' protests, Bobbi and Wesley were still allowed to stay with the team, and for the most part Gardner essentially let the group do whatever they wanted, and told them that for team leader she was appointing Psylocke, as the woman had more experience when it came to combat situations. Not to mention if she appointed just about anyone else, she was fairly certain that Watts would complain in some way. Aside from that one little thing, she told them that she didn't have any new missions for them, but if something came up that they wished to pursue, just let her know about it and they'd be clear to go.

As for any information members of the team found out during the time, there was quite a bit that was discovered. Belladonna found out more then a little bit of information on the Brotherhood's potential plans, including what they might do now that they do not have the splicer. Since they essentially had access to Wanda and Pietro Maximoff for a little while, she was able to get some information from the pair about everything.

She'd be able to discover what it is that Magneto's full plan had been. His idea had been to use the splicer in order to replicate it on a much larger scale. They were going to see about turning the world's leaders into mutants, however there was no telling, as Sapphire had said, how stable the splicers capabilities would work. If there was one slight miscalculation in how it was used, it likely would result in the deaths of any human who was hit by it. With a little digging, Bella would be able to figure out that odds were that he'd send Mystique to go free the twins from their imprisonment in the Raft. After that it was up in the air, there was a chance he might start gathering his forces to attack Serval once more, or he could just attack any major city in the country most likely.

Wesley, meanwhile, in his quest to uncover information about the CEO Rae Gardner, he'd discover a few key facts about her. One of them being that she hadn't actually been a part of Serval Industries before Harrison Snow's death. She bought out the company and became CEO afterwards. A few other key things of note would be that she has a sister, but what her name is isn't exactly well known. One other thing he'd discover is that Gardner didn't really appear anywhere until just a few months before she became the CEO of Serval, which definitely wasn't something that was normal for most people.

Demetria Clarke

Location: Serval Industries - Training Area

Things had more or less calmed down since the incident involving the Brotherhood. Unlike a few of the others, she wasn't too keen on trying to figure out fully what had happened. In fact she didn't really want to know what had happened. Sure, she wanted to destroy the Brotherhood for everything that they had caused a month back, but that wasn't such a simple task. The X-Men tended to do that on a daily basis practically, so there wasn't really much of anything that they could do.

Andrew was gone, and nothing would be able to bring him back, so they were stuck with a team that essentially couldn't stand to even be in the same room as each other. They weren't a team, and at this rate she figured that they never would be. Everything went downhill the instant that Snow had died, and now someone else was gone and nothing was being done. Serval hadn't even really acknowledged the fact that Andrew had been killed, they just sort of brushed it under the rug! Everything about the company was getting more and more annoying.

She threw a dagger made of ice, and it slammed into the bulls-eye on the target. Sapphire was annoyed with everything that was going on, and she wasn't even sure what to do. Gardner wasn't even sending them on missions or anything, letting them do whatever the hell they wanted. When she had looked into Gardner, she hadn't found anything about her really, but she wondered if she was the only one looking. Though Sapphire never thought to really ask anyone else for help about it. If someone found something important, then maybe they'd say something. Until then, she was just going to leave it be, and just hope that someone decides to kill Gardner at this rate.

John Watts

Location: Serval Industries - R&D Lab
Skills: N/A
For the first week of their forced vacation, Watts had spent some time with his son, Stephen. Stephen was a freshman studying forensic science at a university in the eastern United States, whereas his daughter was in secondary school in England. He had seen Leda relatively recently for Christmas, and while he would have loved to go see her in England as well, he enjoyed spending time with his son and clearing his head. He even took Stephen out to get cupcakes, feeling a compulsion to do so. His kids were the best parts of him and it had helped him to clear his head. Of course, that didn't mean that he didn't intend to do everything in his power to get Bobbi and Wesley fired - he would just have to wait for another epic failure of theirs.

He doubted that would take long.

For the next three weeks, he was working on the Andrew Problem. The little cupcake eater was dead, but he wanted to recover what he could from Andrew's files about his final moments. He had been in Gardner's office after all and there was still something suspicious about the CEO. Watts had banished everyone else from the R&D lab, sending them off to work in other lab spaces as he recovered and categorized every little piece of metal he found. All of it was traced back to the splicer - he couldn't find a single part of Andrew's suit. When it came to Andrew's computer, most of his files had been deleted. That was troubling to say the least. The computer log indicated that the deletion had happened after the explosion, so someone else must have gone into the lab to get rid of them.

Watts was willing to bet a few hundred dollars that he could blame Wesley and Bobbi for that too.

The videos he managed to recover only brought up more questions. They revealed to him a few key facts. The first was that Andrew had found schematics for a device in Gardner's office that would theoretically allow someone to switch bodies with another person. The second was that during the explosion, Andrew had shrunk down to a microscopic level - there was a chance that he had survived, his suit stuck and damaged beyond repair preventing him from returning to normal size.

He ran a hand through his hair, before he opened up his comm line and spoke quickly, but firmly. "Nightingale, you are needed in the R&D lab - now."

Evelyn Holder

Location: Serval Industries, Evelyn's Room -> R&D Lab
Skills: N/A

The month long forced vacation was nice but it didn't really feel the same with Andrew gone she would have liked to get to know him, but sadly that didn't happen. She had spent the time training mostly in the training room, but she did get the feeling something off was with their CEO. When she heard the radio going off Evelyn got up from her bed and grabbed the earpiece before putting it in, surprised that Watts wanted her in the lab. Since their first mission he didn't let anyone in there in the first place, taking a moment and looked at her weapons on the counter in her room deciding not to bring any of them with her.

"I'm on my way." Evelyn said to Watts as she got up and left her room making sure it was locked, and started to head down the hallway heading directly to the elevator. Getting in Eve pressed the floor button that went directly to the R&D level, eventually coming out of the elevator and entered the lab. "How are you doing?" Evelyn asked closing the door behind her.

A month had passed. A month in which her heart hurt and she had nothing that she could use to calm and quell this sadness. No comfy drug den to bury herself in - nameless and faceless. She had to wake up every morning and look at her stupid fucking face in the mirror and know that a good man was dead but she was alive. The inability to do any sort of substance beyond nicotine had left her throwing herself into training. With Wesley. On her own. She had even asked Evelyn a couple of times. Anything to keep her moving and going and not slowing down to think too hard.

Bobbi turned the shower off and stepped out into the steaming room. From the rack, she pulled a towel and began to pat away the moisture in her hair while she watched the droplets of water slowly slide down the fogged-up mirror. She was glad she couldn't see her reflection right now. She didn't want to see...

She tossed the towel aside and walked out into her room, steam billowing out from behind her. Bobbi pulled on simple black jeans that were slightly cut up, a tank-top with a skull on it, and her leather jacket. She made a quick stop in the kitchen to make herself a mug of coffee before starting her day on the roof as had become her ritual now. She did her best to keep her mind blissfully blank while she ground up the beans, added water to the pot and pressed the on button. But her thoughts had a way of traveling back in time. She closed her eyes and breathed out a deep sigh.

Wesley had needed to take the time to mull over things. He had spent as much time with Wanda as he could before she had been carted off by Shield. While useful, the information he gleaned had not been much. He had also spent time reaching out to contacts and researching their boss - Gardner. While useful, still not much. He needed more.

When not snooping he was training with Bobbi or actively avoiding Watts. The man had nothing but ill intent for him and Wes was not keen on making things worse. As for Bobbi, she did not react as negatively towards him as she had in the past, though her words were often clipped and short.

Wes sat in the library, a mug of tea in one hand and an old American Western in his other. He turned the pages in the paperback, enjoying the smell of old print. A moment to relax. To himself for quiet before the bustle of the day began. He planned to soak up every ounce of it before Bobbi started on him about teaching her how to hit properly. He sometimes wondered if it was to get revenge for Andrew or to punch Watts in his face.

After thoroughly leaving yet another training dummy in her wake to vent her frustration, she sipped some water to cool herself down after her workout. It had been a progressive few weeks. She found out a lot about Magneto's plan and why he wanted the splicer in the first place. The sheer amount of large scale destruction that it would have caused, not to mention the potential fatalities, made even Bella shudder a bit. She knew evil and Magneto didn't care about humanity so long as it progressed mutants forward.

Had she stuck at the school, would she have sided with him? Her old master valued her abilities, said she was a step above humanity. She should be revered, idolized.

She heard something else: feared.

Had she not gotten out, she would no doubt have joined their side. Or even made her own side. Done whatever for whoever wanted more. And now she was at Serval doing jack all. She figured Mystique would come to break the twins out so she monitored them. If they escaped, it wouldn't be the worst thing, but she would like to tango with Mystique a bit. Especially as she was a shifter. It would give her an excuse to increase her perception and deduction skills. So for now, no one was allowed to see the twins under her watch.

She didn't trust Gardner to oversee that though.

The Library
The library was fairly quiet, and there didn't seem to be any other people in the room. Wesley didn't really have too much of a view of the door into the room, however, he'd be able to hear the door open and footsteps as someone walked into the library as well. He still wouldn't be able to see them, but based on the voice it was obvious as to who it was, and that they were on the phone with someone else.

"So, is everything almost ready with the device then Marty? You know that she has low patience... Yes the idiots here don't suspect a thing, honestly, you would think with the brains this place has that team would have at least one person who could figure things out. Though I can already tell that they don't really trust me, however that isn't too surprising. Several members don't really trust anyone and their incompetence resulted in that little "accident" last month. Even if they did figure out what was going on, I seriously doubt that they'd be able to do anything... So when is the test run going to be? If that thing works then we might not really have a use for the X-Factor team anymore... A few hours or so? Alright, I'll see if I can potentially get away from here and join up with you, if not you'll have to tell me how things go... If it doesn't work we can see about adjusting and trying again. I'll see you later then," she said into the phone, before she hung up. One thing was obvious, she didn't leave the room, and odds were that she didn't even know that Wesley was even there.

Watts, Evelyn and Bobbi
Yes I get it, you all aren't in the same room, but this is mainly to tell you that you all get to decide what it is that you do (I did do a few rolls, nothing happens yet). So you all get to come up with what you want your characters to do.

Sapphire glanced over towards Bella, seeing that she was in the room as well, but she didn't say anything to her immediately. After all, she found that she had little to really talk with anyone else about, so she wasn't too sure about talking to her. However, Sapphire decided that odds were that things would be somewhat awkward if she was still in the room, so despite part of her brain saying don't say anything, she decided what the hell and walked over to where Bella was.

"Hey there, so, what are you up to?" she asked her, giving her a slight smirk, before a thought occurred to her considering the fact that they were both in the training room. "You want to spar or something? I mean we are both here and beating the crap out of dummies will only get you so far. Or are you thinking about leaving the room or something? I'm fine either way." It was simply just a suggestion, so she would have been fine if Bella turned down her offer, but her words did hold some truth to them. You didn't really learn how an opponent would really react while fighting against a training dummy. Sapphire was a bit curious as to whether or not Bella would accept the offer.

John Watts

Location: Serval Industries - R&D Lab

Watts was pacing the room as Evelyn arrived. He stopped in his tracks as she asked him how he was. It didn't matter what he was feeling. His eyes darted around the room, ensuring that no one else had come with her. "We don't have time for this, so let's get to the chase," he finally said, folding his hands behind his back. "I believe there is a chance Andrew - or at least his body - may be recoverable." Watts then walked to a drawer and pulled out a few magnets, tossing one to Evelyn. "I need your help using these on the floor of the lab. Collect anything you pick up - it may be Andrew in his suit."

He then crouched down, holding his own magnet a few inches off the ground as Watts slowly moved around the lab. At first, he didn't really find anything at all. Then he noticed something. Taking it off of the magnet carefully, Watts placed it underneath a microscope and peered down at it. It took him a bit to focus the image properly but there was no mistaking it - it was Andrew's helmet. There was no blood or sign of an explosion. Odds were, the helmet had been knocked off when he hit the ground. His eyes went back over to where he had found the piece with the magnet - it was right where Gardner had been, when she picked up those metal shards a month ago. "Take a look - his helmet."

Watts then opened up the drawer where he had kept those shards from a month ago, only to find that they were gone. His eyes narrowed as things fell into place. He didn't know why Gardner had taken the shards or how she had tricked him, but unless Evelyn managed to find more pieces of Andrew's suit, there was a simple explanation - Gardner had taken him. "She has Andrew."

Straight to business was completely fine with her, as she took one of the magnets that Watts had given her. "Alright then, straight to business it is then." Evelyn said with a slight shrug as she knelt down and started to comb the magnet over the floor, picking up a paperclip here and there but nothing of interest or use at all. Sighing slightly as she stood up, seeing that Watts managed to find something and started to make her way over towards him. Peering down into the microscope seeing that it was indeed Andrew's helmet she was hoping that he was alive still as well.

"Any way to try and resize the helmet back to normal height, maybe he had some cameras set up within the helmet to try and confirm if he had been picked up?" Evelyn didn't like or trust Gardner as far as she could throw her, something was up as well. "Why would she even want mangled pieces of metal for anyway, unless she actually knew that Andrew, or his body or suit were still on it. I could sneak into her office again see if there is anything in there?"

Tears pricked at the corners of her eyes, despite her valiant attempts to keep herself from doing such. Too much stillness caused this. She willed the coffee pot to hurry up and deliver the goods. It did not make it fill any faster. To keep herself busy she started wiping down counters, washing dishes left behind and it wasn't long before she was on her hands and knees scrubbing the floor.

The beeping of the pot woke her out of her trance. She blinked, sitting up and realizing what she was doing. She tossed the sponge she had been using onto the floor before washing her hands. She took down two mugs. One for herself. One for Andrew. It wasn't like she had ever sat down and had coffee with the guy before. She had been too wrapped up in her own issues to even try to get along with everyone. But at least he had been nice. Maybe if she had been nicer. She swiped new tears from her face before slapping her cheeks.

After filling the two cups, she grabbed her scarf and wrapped it around her neck. It did not take long for her to carry the two cups up to the rooftop. The chilly, winter morning air bit at her cheeks and nose. The sudden sunlight and cold caused her to release a sneeze dumping a bit of coffee onto the pebbled roof. With a sniff she approached the edge of the roof and set Andrew's cup down before she sipped from her own. The dark liquid burned her tongue and warmed her insides while she watched life below.

Bobbi set her cup down and pulled on a pair of fingerless gloves from her pockets. The next item to appear was her pack of cigarettes and her zippo. Flick. Flick. Flame appeared and she inhaled the carcinogens with delight. Tucking away her lighter she gazed up at the clouds making their way across the great big blue.

He heard the door open and turned his gaze from the book. He expected to see Bobbi marching her way around the corner and telling him to hurry up. This did not happen, instead, a familiar voice accosted his ears and his whole body stiffened. He narrowed his eyes, listening carefully. He hoped his trained ears would be able to pick up the faint sound of the other person's voice but he had no such luck.

Slowly he closed his book, ensuring to mark the page before he did so and set it on the chair as he stood. Despite his large frame, he had been taught the finer points of stealth. He managed to make his way closer to Gardner, hoping to glean more information from this conversation. He would have to find Watts later and see if he could tap the boss' phone. Who in the world was she talking to? It was obvious who she was speaking about, and rather unkindly too. Wes' dislike for the woman grew.
