There used to be three of them. Tyjha and Pimea Lehti and their insufferable brother, Umber Mahogany. Umber had been a ring leader in all aspects, wild and unpredictable, but he caught his sisters up in his whirlwind. Long before they had ever moved to Bloomfield Bay, the trio had been sparks and wildfires. Untamable and wild, a waste of their collective talent, as those around them would say.
But for their comrades and peers, they were leaders, symbols of freedom and unbridled wanderlust that attracted those with nowhere better to go. They created a home that moved along and accepted quirks and oddities alike. Struggle and mayhem were commonplace, but it wasnโt a life that the trio disagreed with. Umber held at the helm, always at the forefront of everything they did because that was the best way to protect those that stood behind him, Pimea worked behind the lines, always ready to ensure that they had a way to back out of their latest adventures, and Tyjha? Tyjha remained the nurturer, bringing out potential from their kin, creating a place they could return to for rest.
By all means, she was happy with that untamed growth. Responsibilities were thrown to the wind, their lives tumultuous as they went, and it was enough. It was always enough.
But the Whisper had other plans for them.
It wasnโt surprising that Umber had been crowned long before Tyjha herself, a power that protected his allies through thick and thin. A power that made him stronger in the face of adversary. A power that fulfilled every need that his wanderlust created to shield those that had fallen in line with himโTyjha wasnโt surprised. For a long time, their added duties did little more than anchor them to a singular spot in Bloomfield Bay. Pimea had no problems creating a home for their group, her own business providing more than enough funding to keep everything afloat with help from their comrades. Things had a certain type of chaotic routine, and it seemed that theyโd continue their rampant behavior even while Tyjha and Umber seemed to vanish from their ventures in the world everyone else could see.
And yet all good things came to an end, as always. Two siblings left, and only one returned, a newfound silence impossible to penetrate and the charming wildness that had once marked her subdued alongside her voice. She told no one of the events that transpired, and the world continued to spin on, but without Umber, their home collapsed, as though unable to support its own weight. One by one, everyone left until the only ones left in their desolate hideout were Tyjha and Pimea Lehti, two sisters left behind with everyoneโs regrets.
It's been some time since they were forced to leave their brash and reckless life behind, but Tyjha doesn't seem to grieve the loss. They traded insatiable curiosity for complacent stability, but they adapted, as they always did. In fact, Tyjha even seems contented, tending to a garden she doesnโt have the time to control and playing too many roles in her sisterโs cafรฉ. Still, there's something missing from her old self in her current satisfaction, and it's enough to make one wonder whether Tyjha doesn't miss her rambunctious days.
