Welcome to Aloriand! You've been summoned by a Demonlord to fight for his great cause of complete world domination, and in exchange, he will give the life you've always wanted.

The Pact states that you play as his Champion and do his bidding. Of course, this comes with a few perks — curses blessings that the Demonlord has given you himself, powerful skills that would help you carry out his will, chance to pillage villages, murder heroes and access to tons and tons of richess.

The journey wont be easy. You will find yourself constantly buggerred by Heroes whose main goal is to stop you at all cause. Not only that, you need to tend to the Demonlord's growing village, the only people who believe in your cause. You will need to defend them, command them, and help them get on through whatever problems they encounter in life. This could sound a lot like having a child at first, but trust me, it gets better.

Right, I see you haven't ran away screaming in fear yet. Very well, let's get this evil adventure going then.

Rules

  • Follow standard RP rules.
  • In case of death, you can start a new character. However, the new character won't have any memory of your previous character or the world, which means you'll have figure everything out again from 0.
  • All characters starts with 3 skills max plus 1 unique skill, however, as the story progresses, they can acquire more skills and on some rare occations the Demonlord may also interfere and bestow them additional unique skills if the situation requires it.
  • Further developing skills can grant you access to sub skills of that same skill tree (example Fire Magic Mastery level 10 will make you learn Fire Ball level 1 automatically). And on some rare cases, some skills can evolve to becoming unique skills.
  • Each level we gain grants us 1000 points to be allocated to our chracter's parameters (str, int, agi, etc.). There's no limit as how much we can allocate per parameter.
  • Try to post once each day, or if not, just try to be active as much as possible. Check the thread as often as you can, or say hi or whatever, just so I know you're still alive.
  • I'm open to suggestions, don't hesitate to post it here if you feel like adding more details into the RP or something.
  • Most of all, have fun!

@Travesty
How much are the states worth? i mean is 500 points in strength would be equal to toss a normal sized human around, or?...
sorry if you already answered in the thread, but i couldn't find it. :(

Let's put it this way, a normal villager without any specific designation would have an average of 100 to their stats to get through their everyday lives. Whereas, an adventurer would have 200-300 out of adventuring experience. We're kinda above that, so say, 1000 to strenght can wipe out most Class A monsters and below without much breaking a sweat. I kinda wanted to emphasize how the Demonlord have made our characters way too overpowered in this world. Oh and, our characters dont know that yet on set.

Hey all! I have a couple of characters I'm mulling over. Though the first one admittedly has a little less thought put into him.

My own wips though, I'm going to have to switch devices so I'm kinda just dumping them here :3 Should be fleshed out in the next day or so.

Awesome! I'll review them once I get a few hours of sleep.

On a side note, for skills I suggest you get the very basic skills at first, so as the story goes it could branch out to more complex skills. Also, its a lot easier for you to think of what skills to get if you already have a certain path you want your character to be - Magic Caster, Warrior, Tank, etc. So get skills that could potentially benefit your character in the long run. And lastly, I highly advise you to get at least one skill that could help you in a fight (well, at least will make your character be able to fight). I had this one RP where everyone only got support/life skills, and during the first major monster encounter they just didn't know what to do with their sewing skills anymore, just saying.

I think I'll make a few modifications with my character too, depending on what you guys come up with. Please make a magic caster.

Which reminds me, how does magic work, as far as in the character sheet. For example, is fire ball a basic ability or is it destructive magic and then fireball, or?...

I'd say start with a specific elemental affinity first. So, Fire Affinity Level 1 will allow you to use fire spells and fire's basic application (survival wise). You can even further sub categorize to passive and active skills for that respective elemental affinity - fire/heat resistance for passive, and Fire Ball for active/offense skill. Then the list goes on.

EDIT: Goes the same with weapon mastery skills like Sword Mastery, or Bow Mastery. This should allow you to use specific weapons and learn their respective passive and active skills.

An update. I've got my character's stats and skills figured out. Just trying to decide on how I want to play her, personality wise. From there the backstory should be easy!

Alright, for HP and mana, the parameter is based on your Endurance stats x 10 and Int stats / 2 respectively. On your case, HP should be at 11,000 and Mana is at 550. Also, a quick question on your unique skill, is it something Abigail needs to activate every time she uses it? Or is it something like a gained experience that passively accumulate based on how often she uses a particular object?

Alllei's stats and unique skill is a bit contradicting to me. Wouldn't it be more practical if she has more Int than Str to take full advantage of her unique skill? Although her unique skill should nullify Mana requirement for casting spell, adding more to Int will increase her magic damage. Is there any particular reason why she has more to her Str stat though?

Telekinesis is more utility than damage. As much as I'd like her to be able to cast relevant spells; personality wise she's a brawler more than a mage. Character wise, I was looking for a good balance between the two without leaning too heavy into magic. Though it would still be her goto for ranged targets; she'd be deadly at close range.

I see. Well, the world they're in is not really restricting in terms of learning new skills. As long as they're capable and their stats allow it, then there shouldnt be any problem. With Allie's current stat, she should be able to learn basic ranged spells just fine. Also, I wouldn't really worry about Mana cost since she wont be using a lot of spells for a Brawler. May be consider tweaking Allie's unique to something more beneficial to her as a Brawler? Like, I dunno, convert mana molecules around her to Stamina so she can stay in a fight longer, or something like that.

ooops. Sorry about that. I changed the stats around and forgot to update.
The ability is passive so items gain experience with every use, which she doesn't have to activate. Though I'm not sure how often the transformations should take place.

Cool. Seems about right to me. You can post her up on the Character's tab now.

I'll start making a draft for the first post and should be able post may be tomorrow, or by Friday the latest.

@Travesty Eh, if you're ok with her I am. I still kinda like her current unique better. Maybe it isn't the best, and I might think of one better; but I'm fine with it.
