@DisturbedSpec So...Broadswords weren't around until 2554. You're about four years early on those.

@DisturbedSpec Before you go on, we're not particularly looking for a ship of this class. We've got two Assault Carriers in the form of a Retrofit Venator and a CAS. They're our backbone. Support of these ships is what we're looking for.

@Zarkun The F41-E was in 2554. The F41 was in 2535. The only real difference between the two was the enhanced upgrades as well as energy shielding.

@Sep Understood. However, the majority of designated support ships used by the UNSC were ONI Prowlers and exfiltration assault craft. In terms of a 'support' warship, what class would you believe to best be suited in supporting two warships, like a frigate, destroyer, etc? I'm at a bit of a loss at the moment.

@DisturbedSpec Ships of the line. If the Immaculate and Resurgence are our Flagships, every other vessel is in support to that.

Perhaps a battleship of some sort? Something with a focus on heavy defense and firepower instead of being a carrier? Is that what you're looking for?

Though, in context, most UNSC ships would probably need some defensive upgrades to fulfill that role. That is something that can be done IC, though.

@DisturbedSpec If I can remember my Halo ship names correctly, Phoenix, Ardent, Paris and there's some more I can't remember. You're on the right track with frigates and destroyers.

If I might make a suggestion, @DisturbedSpec , this seems perfect: https://halofanon.fandom.com/wiki/Vindication-class_light_battleship

It is classed as a fast battleship, and would really fit that role well. It focuses on weapons and armor, and could maneuver around the battlefield much more quickly than our larger ships. Any deficiencies in defense or weapons (when comparing universes), could be upgraded IC.

@EliteCommander, @Sep, @Zarkun EDIT (again): Chose a Marathon. While I certainly respect the choice in recommendation, I've never seen a Vindication-class before. Gotta stick to the old-fashioned line on my argument. Hopefully, everything will be summarily approved since I've made the necessary changes.

Did you look at the armament or crew compliment for it? Because I did and you're going to need to adjust what you have on your sheet to actually match the Marathon. Modified or not.

There ya go, use that to fix the sheet. You can't just change the class, you have to match the information correctly to.

I know you have already edited a few things already, but if I were to take a guess at a potential issue, it would be the SPARTAN contingent. It's not an issue of their power or ability as much as just believability. It would be almost unheard of to have that many Spartan-IIs in one place at most points in time, let alone late in the war. I would find Spartan-IIIs more believable, personally. There were only about 33ish Spartan-IIs that made it through the program. I might just be being particular, but...we do have a few Halo fans here. As for a believable number of Spartans, I'd have to leave that up to the GMs.

Perhaps it would be plausible to knock the two down to one. Again, I'm open to suggestions and edits as needed.

@Zarkun Sweet! Already edited. However, I've noticed in the Wikia that the compliment section lists a thousand total; I'd assume this would only mean Naval personnel since the rest of the hyperlinks just refer to "Marines", "ODST's", etc. Are the compliment numbers acceptable as they are?

I'm ok with them. You're right about the lack of specifics.

On the wiki, a compliment section always talks about the naval personnel count unless specified elsewhere. So, a Marathon would have 1000 crew. Marines would probably be about a company sized on a Marathon due to the type of ship it is, so about 130-250.

@datadogie It appears that, while the Naval crew is indeed listed as 1000, the Marine and ODST sections (if they carried any) would be between 500-600 and 200-300, respectfully for a Marathon-class.

@DisturbedSpec Why was this particular ship given more weapons? What was the reason in a war to give one particular ship more weapons and not the rest?
