Mary bit her lip and closed her eyes.

"What's wrong?" He hesitantly walks up to her.

Mary shook her head.
"...nothing."
She was blushing still. It would be painfully obvious after a while why.

"Am I making you nervous?"

Mary quickly shook her head no. It was more like a shy kind of nervousness. She never had a man, especially not a vampire, treat her that way before since her father died.

"What's....oh. Am I moving too quickly?" He stops just within arms reach.

Mary took a deep breath. She explained about the whole 'not being treated that way by males since her father died' thing.

"So....you've never been cared for? Loved, or wanted after, since your fathers death?" He gently takes one of her hands, and softly rubs the back with his thumb.

Mary sighed.
"I've made friends but I was never loved...like that anyway."

"Friended, but never courted?"

Mary nodded once.

"Then be sure to tell me what you do and don't like, ok Mary?"

Mary nodded.
"alright."
There was still a bit of a blush on her cheeks.

He gives her hands a gentle squeeze.

Mary glanced at their hands and met his eyes after that.

Mary nodded. She found herself not looking away.

He gently raises her hand to his lips and softly kisses it.
