...that's what we were told all of those years ago. We took up partner Pokemon, traveled the region, competed against other trainers. It's been years, but we've finally made it to the top-- all five of us. We are the cornerstones of Sinnoh, the most revered people in all of the region. As the Elite and Champion, we have a lot of responsibilities, ranging from press conferences to staged public appearances, from being celebrated guests to being the cornerstones of the region. After a couple of years doing the same thing, it all gets pretty mundane.
There's been rumors of something stirring in the dark, something bigger than Team Rocket or any other of those grungy groups. Trainers are disappearing and the police are getting antsy. During these tumultuous times, our region turns to us for help. Life is about to get much different. Oh well, at least we've got each other.
The ruling force of the Sinnoh region, the Elite are a group of trainers that are headed by a Champion. They are politically and socially involved with most, if not all, of the happenings in Sinnoh. They attend meetings with other regions' Elites, press conferences with Gym Leaders, and make decisions on the behest of the region. The Elite and Champion also make public appearances and are often seen at parties, in magazines, newspapers, or in the more dire events that happen in Sinnoh. Usually, their lives are quite boring and there isn't much battling to be done, unless a stray trainer or two believe they can complete the Pokemon Challenge.
About five years ago, the Elite were composed of the four strongest trainers in the region. Their numbers have increased throughout the years, along with their responsibilities. Nevertheless, the Champion is more or less their king or queen; as the strongest among the Elite, they are the driving force behind their decisions and one of the most cherished people in Sinnoh. It is usually the Champion that travels to meet with other Champions around the world while the Elite hold down the fort. Despite the stress of their responsibilities and whatever drama they may hold between them, they are generally a very close group of people and trust each other immensely.
With the presence of a dangerous (yet unnamed) adversary, the Sinnoh region has placed more pressure on the Elite and Champion. On top of all of the meetings and parties they must attend, their numbers must focus their efforts on figuring out what exactly is slithering in the dark.
Each of the Elite (including the Champion) have six set Pokemon that are always with them. Even though they are in the Sinnoh region, they may also have Pokemon from other regions in their team. Unlike Gym Leaders who are expected to have a monotyped team, the Elite are able to build their team using whatever Pokemon they want (with the exception of legendaries). Even then, each of the Elite have one or more titles that have been placed upon them by others. The titles may represent the types of Pokemon they use, how they behave, and so forth.
1) Post on the IC at least once a week and be active in the OOC/Discord overall. Plotting, bantering, and everything else is super fun to me!
2) DO NOT GHOST/DROP OUT/DISAPPEAR for random lengths of time without notifying the group.
3) I will be accepting at most 7 or 8 other people.
4) I usually accept people who create the best character sheets/ideas and are the most active; this is not a first-come-first-serve RP and I will not be accepting everyone who declares interest. That being said, I'd appreciate it if you could make your sheets look pretty-- add some color and all~
5) I'd prefer friendly players who are nice to not only myself but everyone in the group.
6) I'd prefer a cast that doesn't have an influx of males/females-- I do love my romance!
7) I'd prefer if people don't strive to be OP. I expect some challenging of power there. Even then, when there are battles, I want them to be resolved cleanly and fairly between players.
8) I prefer to play with 18 year olds or older.
9) It would be cool to take a darker turn for this story! Drug trafficking, kidnapping, violence, all of the goodies.
10) I'd want us to focus on the Elite's Pokemon as well-- they're characters too! It'd be nice to have them interact with each other.
