[IC] The promised sorcerer bride-break the fate

The town was quiet. The colleges' school year had ended for the summer. The girl in question is heading home to visit her parents. She had no idea what was awaiting her, the story that was about to begin. All she had on her mind was spending some time with family and friends, finding a summer job, and living her life. The girl did not know about the promise, at least not yet, and she did not know what the sorcerer was up to, nor did she know that he was even in town at that time. Now, the story shall begin.

[Shadow Dragon]

Damocles paces around in his laboratory, reading from a large book.

[JrVader]

Lucian, just now leaving the college, saw Emily leaving to her house. He had a black and blue wrist, but he was trying not to show it. He ran up to her, yelling "Emily!" Trying to catch up to her. Once he got to her, he tried to smile and mask the pain of his wrist. "How are you?"

[Vampiretwilight]

Emily blinked. She stopped in her tracks. She turned to look behind her, wondering who it was. That was when she saw her friend. She faintly smiled as she turned to face him a bit as she walked.
"oh, hi Lucian."
She moved at a slow pace to let him keep up with her. She shrugged a bit.
"I am just looking forward to heading home for the summer. How are you?"
She asked that sincerely.

Lucian laughed a little in nervousness, raising his hand to scratch the back of his neck, accidentally revealing his black and blue wrist. "Good I guess, I am not really needed for a while, can I accompany you home?"

[Shadow Dragon]

He makes a small mark in the book, and begins gathering ingredients for a spell. "Marin! Go fetch some more fireweed and cat claws."

Emily nodded as she listened. She faintly smiled at first.
"sure, you can..."
She trailed off. She trailed off because she saw his wrist. She gasped, eyes wide. She pointed at it.
"What happened?!"
She frowned. She was worried and concerned now.

Marin bows. “Yes, my lord.” She gets the ingredients and offers to them with another bow.

[Shadow Dragon]

He takes them both, and tosses them into a large brazier, the smoke turning a deep red. He waves his hand, small flames igniting on the ends of his fingers, and sets the bottom of the brass ablaze with green flames. The concoction inside boils down to a single, bright red drop. He tips it into a small bottle, and stoppers it. "Find Emily, surname of Valentine, and get her to drink this. I don't care how you do it. Slip it in her drink, force it down her throat, doesn't matter to me. Just ensure that she finishes it." He holds out the bottle.

Marin bows. “Yes, my lord.” She straightens and shifts into a plain dark haired girl with brown eyes in casual clothes. After a few schemes involving different forms, she approaches Emily’s neighborhood, looking around as if for someone.

[Shadow Dragon]

He goes to a large mirror on the wall. "Show me Emily Valentine." The glass ripples, and shows her, but not much around her.

[Vampiretwilight]

Emily was talking to her friend. She was quiet. She was waiting for a response. she frowned and crossed her arms. She waited, eyes narrowed after a moment or so.

Marin stumbles across the street, making sure Emily sees her. She falls, frantically looking around. She’s panting heavily, like she’s running away from something.

Emily blinked. She looked behind her. She gasped, and while waiting for a reply, helped the woman up.

Marin frowns at herself. “I-I’m so sorry,” she says quietly, glancing over her shoulder.

Emily blinked. She frowned. She made sure she was alright before glancing at her friend.
"it's...ok."
She raised an eyebrow.

“Th-thank you,” Marin stutters, glancing over her shoulder.

Emily nodded.
"um, you're welcome?"
She frowned a bit. She wondered why the woman had suddenly appeared like that. There was something strange, she thought, but she was not sure what it was yet. Of course, she did not dare ask that out loud, lest the answer be more unpleasant than the answer to the question she had asked her friend.

Marin wraps her arms around herself. “You wouldn’t happen to know where the Valentine residence is, would you?”

Emily blinked. She raised an eyebrow and cleared her throat.
"Do you have business with me or my parents?"
The residence in question was her parents house. It was where she lived before starting college. She crossed her arms and waited for a response.
