Angel frowned. She looked around at all of them. She was worried. She also felt helpless.

Eric sighed.
"I.....don't know."
He answered honestly. This was actually getting to be too much for him.

Marin tilts her head a bit. “How about we go out to eat, and take it step by step?”

He doubted food would change anything though. He hoped they didn't pass by any of the jewelry shops when they left.

Marin sighs softly. She sounded put together, but in reality, she was stalling. She knew almost nothing about this. She’d been born with magic, and had learned to tame it on her own.

Angel placed a hand on her sorcerers' shoulder.
"There are many jewelry shops around. Maybe you can look in random ones?"

Eric blinked. He looked at her with narrowed eyes.

Marin snorts softly in laughter. “Try to contain yourself, Eric. Your excitement is too much,” she says sarcastically.

He chuckles. "Try an emerald ring for your focus."

Eric glared.
"Shut up!"

Angel gasped.

Damocles turns to Eric, and his hand fills with blue flames. "Silence!" The shadows in the room deepen, his staff glowing brightly.

Angel tried to calm him down.
"Calm yourself! I think there may be a reason why he is hesitant to wear jewelry. He looks...rather embarrassed."

Eric sighed and nodded. He pointed to a photo album he brought with him. There was a picture of Eric dressed like a girl.
"my mother....wanted a daughter."

He shrugs. "You're marrying Marin, aren't you? Make it an engagement ring."

Marin frowns and rubs Eric’s back when he admits the reason he didn’t want to wear jewelry. She blushes hard when Damocles says that Eric is marrying her. “What-? When-? How-?” She sits down, feeling lightheaded.

Eric gasped. He turned bright red. He looked away from the sorcerer.

Angel blinked. She gasped in surprise.

He shrugs. "My mistake."

Marin mutters in an ancient language, kneading her head. She sighs and stands. “Apologies. That just.. caught me by... surprise.”

Eric blinked. He went to Marin and hugged her.

Angel sighed. She shook her head and looked at her sorcerer fiancée.
