Angel blinked. To her, the warping darkness looked like it did when he transported then to his house because he didn't feel like walking all that time ago.

Marin smiles. “So can i. It’s fine, I don’t mind. In fact it’s something of a habit. Any preferences?”

He begins making it flow around him like a dark river, looping in the air. "So many memories...yet I can't touch them..."

Eric blinked. He shook his head slowly no.

Angel blinked. She sighed. Then, she did the only thing that worked when he was depressed back in their early days together. She held his face in her hands, leaned in, and kissed him.

Marin nods. "Then I'll just have to surprise you." She starts to get to work, then ushers him out of the kitchen.

Eric blinked. He gasped when he was ushered out of the kitchen like that. He sighed, frowned, and waited.

After about an hour, Marin had set the table up and was setting the food out. "Dinner's ready! Sorry about that, but it's not a proper surprise if you see what I'm doing. That's what I've been told, anyway."

Eric blinked. He looked at her. He had been sitting in the living room. He managed a nod.
"um, alright."
He stood up. He followed her.

Marin patiently waits for the verdict by the display of simple yet flavorful dishes spread all over the table.

Eric took a bite of the chicken alfredo. He blinked and swallowed. He looked at marin.
"it's good. you cook better than I do."

Marin chuckles and sits down. "You like it? Thank you, but I really just try to make it edible. Have as much as you want." She makes herself a plate with barely anything on it.

Eric chuckled. He faintly smiled. He sat down to eat. He blinked and frowned when he saw how little she was about to eat.

Marin starts to eat, then pauses when she sees his frown. "Is something wrong?"

"is that all you're eating?"
Eric questioned.

Marin nods as she eats, then she swallows. "I'm not very hungry right now, so I'll probably eat something later."

Eric blinked. He nodded.
"..if you say so."

Marin nods and finishes eating. She patiently waits until he's finished, trying to not watch him eat.

Eric was finished soon enough. However, he kept looking at her. He blushed every time he did that.

Marin gets his dishes and starts to clean up. "Did you like it?" she smiles at him.
