Name: Kori Fallow
Age: 14
Magical Element: Nature
Artifact: A small whistle
Gender: Female
Generation: New
Occupation: Middle Schooler (8th grade)
Appearance:
Normal: In her base form, Kori is a very average looking young girl with black hair standing at roughly 4 ft 6 in. She has Black hair and clear blue eyes. Kaori typically wears her hair down reaching down to her shoulders, but at times has been known to wear her hair in a ponytail or even a side ponytail. Her clothes are notably worn, frayed a little in certain places around the base in her skirts, dresses, and pants. Her school clothes seem to be too big for her, and when they become dirty it's not uncommon for them to stay that way for a few days at a time. Outside of school hours she wears an assortment of shirts that seem too big for her as well but tied on her side to make them fit around her waist, while she wears a pair of shorts or pants that seem to change colors every few days. Her shoes however never seem to change at all regardless of the day of the week, simple black tennis shoes broken in and very comfy looking.
Transformed: In her transformed form, Kori's hair becomes a vibrant shade of Green and her eyes become an amber shade. Her clothes magically become an elegant black sundress, adorned by a various changing set of flowers that decorate her. Her tennis shoes become lovely heels, although admittedly she struggles to walk in them sometimes. Though she never says anything out loud, she feels very lovely in this form....
Biography:
Kori Fallow is a kind, sweet, optimistic girl. She doesn't recall much of her youth, but what she does remember is just how loud it was in rooms just beyond her reach. Whenever she would make her way inside nothing was ever particularly out of the ordinary, just her mother and her father sitting across from each other, looking down at her and smiling.
That's all they would ever say... And no matter what she would say, it seemed like they were never really listening. But Kori was never lonely. She would go outside every day and spend her time catching frogs and talking to her mother's garden. Her mother told her once that if you speak to flowers, it makes them happy and they bloom big and bright. She would speak to them every single day, and she while she did she would pick the weeds that her father explained to her wanted to hurt the flowers. She was never lonely.
But then one day, her mother wasn't home when she came back from school. She called her father and told him she couldn't find her mother, and that day he came home sooner than usual. She was confused, scared even, but her father seemed like he wouldn't speak to her that night. All he did was look at her then down at something at the table, and tell her to go play. So Kori did just that, and spoke to her flowers and her frogs. Her mother never came back home but her father swore to her that everything would be just fine and gave her the first smile she had seen from him in a long time. His smile was bright and wide, and even though something wasn't the same in his eyes she felt everything would be just fine.
Soon after that, the food began to become more and more plain. Her clothes began to fit her tighter and tighter for longer than usual. Her father began coming home later and later, and her mother's garden began to wilt little by little. She decided then and there that she would never see her father with those eyes again. She learned to cook, she lied about her sizes, she began to weed the garden every single day, and instead of speaking to the flowers she learned to sing a happy tune instead. She was never lonely. Not even once.
Early in the month of December in the year she turned 14; she went out into her garden as usual but something was wrong, large prints of some kind were embedded into the moist soil, trampling some of her plants and leading into the woods. She pouted a bit, and she went in after whatever animal decided to track through her garden to give it a piece of her mind! But what she found was more than she expected.... A large shadowy looking frog creature waded through a polluted looking pool that seemed to flow through a large red gate of some kind. It smelled foul, and soon noticed a shocked and terrified Kori. In an instant the large creature leaped into the air towards her, forcing her to involuntarily let out a shout. But miraculously, as soon as she clenched her fist and closed her eyes- nothing happened....
When she opened her eyes, the creature was gone. Replaced by a blossoming meadow seemingly removed from the season it was supposed to be, a clean reflecting pool where the polluted one once was, and a little croaking frog similar to the ones she used to catch flopping into her lap. She looked towards the gate, gazing at the pool now teaming with water lotuses and little critters of the forest. This was naturally very confusing, but this place brought her peace somehow. It wasn't until the little frog flopped his foot onto her hand she realized she was holding onto something... A small, silver whistle. It befuddled her, where could something like this come from? She couldn't answer, but somehow it made her feel safe. It filled her with a sense of responsibility, and the feeling that from this point on she could finally bring happiness to the people she cared about most. And she couldn't help but whisper to herself:
.... And on that day, she made her first new friend. Nimsy, The Winter Froggy. Who once given a little habitat Kori had from her days of frog catching in her youth, promptly went to sleep for the winter.
Name: Yuki Mori
Age: 32
Magical Element: Ice
Artifact: Fountain Pen, Never runs out of ink.
Generation: Elder
Occupation: Data Entry Position, at Frisco Mobile Inc., The Standing Elder Guardian of Ice.
Appearance:
Normal: In her Normal state, Yuki is a very well kept and proper woman. She is often seen with a scowl on her face, and occasionally can be seen wearing glasses to help her see papers, books, and things of that nature. She has Black hair, and dark brown eyes. She is rather standard in height for women of her age, and she maintains a well managed weight to compliment her figure. Due to her very strict and diligent daily self care regiment, she is considered to be incredibly beautiful within her office. However, after a long day at work, she rarely would receive such compliments from those who wouldn't know her. When not working, her clothes are still rather sharp and stylish. You will never find even a hair on her clothes when she goes out into town.
Transformed: Much to her own embarrassment, her transformed form is rather childish by comparison. This is likely due to her secret enjoyment of fantasy characters and her love of online roleplay with some friends in the classic MMORPG game: Legends of Motira. Her hair turns a bright vibrant shade of blue, along with her eyes, and her trusty pen becomes a long staff she uses to cast her magic. She even has a little finishing touch mark on her cheek. Beyond her Black mage like hood, her outfit seems to fit well with what you would find in a classic magical girl anime.
Biography/Personality:
Ever since she was a young girl Yuki was placed with high expectation from her very strict and traditional family, an expectation she not only met but exceeded. She was the type to excel in academics, always take top prize in academic competitions, and lead the student body to the point of annoyance from her classmates. When she was given the duty of Guardian, this prowess and feeling of responsibility carried over as if she had known all her life she was destined for this task. Clearly she couldn't have known that, but of course she would be glad for her peers to think so.
She was known to treat her fellow guardians coldly, and command them as if she was naturally in charge. This often caused conflict among the generation of the Elder guardians. It wasn't long before they found out she had one major weakness: Being given the nickname Yuyu caused her to become so embarrassed she began to steam and failed to make eye contact with anyone. Eventually, she began to act more on her own than any guardian did, especially after the Guardians graduated from school and pursued their adult lives. They would all still see each other occasionally during fights, but she never truly warmed up to the rest of the group again.
In her personal life, she began to focus solely on her career, ignoring her friends entirely and adopting a much more strict lifestyle. This strict nature bled into her duties as well, any interaction with her was expected to be riddled with criticisms, micromanaging, and lectures. Among her office, her community, and her fellow guardians, this strict cold demeanor earned her the title "Ice Queen." It wasn't very surprising to find out she never really had a real romantic relationship, and it's even comical to see her attempt to communicate with others in a way that doesn't immediately turn them irritated with the way she presents herself.
With the new generation of magical girls on the horizon she hopes to pass on the title of Guardian of Ice to a competent successor so she may focus all her energy on her career plan, and climb the corporate ladder to the position of CFO of the company. Strict, direct, and critical to a fault, being her junior means being burdened with the expectations that you will match the very standards that she holds herself to as the pinnacle of the vigilant, elite, Guardian.... Just don't tease her too much about her outfit.
