[IC] Spliced

In an underground complex a group of scientist are conducting a science experiment that only the government and the test subjects are aware of. The idea is to splice human DNA with that of humans. This way the solider would have the advantage of heightened senses and animal instinct. Now it is time to test their limits and get them working together as a team. With in the compound a PA system announces All test subjects report to meeting room A.

Alexander slung himself up off his bed, holding his hand out infront of him, he'd been messing around with his Morph, partially morphing parts of his body as far as he could before the morph started to creep over his body, fire roared down his lower arm and burning away the pure black scales and huge serrated claws on his lower-forearm and hand, the flames faded, leaving a normal human hand. Sighing softly he grinned and picked up the empty sheath from where it was leaning, lamenting the loss of the blade as he strapped it on to his hip. running his hands through his long, blond hair he grabbed his jacked with the insignia of the dragon on the shoulder. pulling it on he checked himself one last time in the mirror. nodding he picked up his gloves and pulled them on, checking the wraps on his arm that covered the various injections and incisions made duing his splicing he nodded and walked out towards the Meeting room, remembering to lock his door behind him.

On the walk he spent some time thinking to himself, as far as he was aware he was the only one with a supposed 'theoretical genome' He had no idea what the hell that meant all he knew was that he no longer feared old age and could command fire. he knew that he'd been spliced with a dragons 'theoretical genome' but he'd never been one for studying advanced science. he knew the basics and how life worked, but he had no idea what all this talk of genomes and 'statistical analysis of microsampling' all he knew was he was not in prison and capable of things greater than he was before. He grinned. 'let them come, let them try and bully me now,' he thought to himself.

he walked in to the meeting room, humming to himself, spinning a chair round he sat on it and lent on his elbows on the back, having spun it round to sit on it backwards, and lent on his chin. "so why on earth are we here?"

All test subjects report to meeting room A. As the message rang through the PA system and the test subjects began to make their way to the meeting room a dark figure that was hanging from the rafters began to stir. "Uh... what? Ah hell I did it again!" Marshall said in a half asleep tone. Ever since he had been spliced with the bat gnome he been having some of the weirdest side effects like his hearing had skyrocketed, he been craving red meat, and worst of all was his sleep walking... well flying. Every night he went to sleep he ended waking up somewhere hanging up side down, talk about a vampire cliché. Quite honestly he was more annoyed than worried about it, saying that he can fly in his sleep doesn't seem so cool after he wake up hanging up side down naked in the ladies room for the second time.

With a groan Marshall spread his arms apart, his wings spreading out as he did so, and released his grip from the ceiling. He landed with some what of a stumble. "I'm a better flyer when I'm asleep... great." He said with a role of his crimson eyes. He pulled out a cellphone that he got from the CIA, Marshall found treating to expose some less than legal Black Op operations that he "stumbled" upon is a great way to get some extra luxurious around here. He watched as endless numbers flashed by on the screen, no non hacker would understand the seemingly random data that was being shown but to Marshall it was as plane as the back of his hand. "Good to see they don't trust me enough to not bug me." He said with a smirk before putting the phone away and heading towards the meeting room.

Roxy rolled her eyes. A meeting,? Seriously were they finally going to do something besides stick them with needles? She hoped so. Roxy tucked the knife she had been twilling like a baton in to one of her boots. As she stood, Roxy tugged her leather skirt down. No sense in giving the lab rates a heart attack. Roxy slipped a leather jacket over her baby-t. Not because she needed it but because image was everything. Happy that she was projecting the image she desired, Roxy made her way down the various hallways to the indicted meeting room.

{Before i post just a warning i'm partially color blind and suck with discriptions so i might be off about a color}

Hitomi looked up from the desk she was sitting atdoing work and sighs before standing up and knocking on the door of the head scientist.

"Sir the meeting with the others in the program that's like me is about to start do you wish for me to be by your side or go ahead of you?" Hitomi says through the door as she await her orders.

Hitomi when she had first come into the program was as jumpy as a mouse in a pin full of hungry cats due to her amnisa she didn't know anything and what she knows including her name came from the head scientist helping her and reteaching her things she forgot along with new things, over all unlike the others who had joined the program Hitomi didn't have a single rebel thought and did everything to her best ability as long as it was withing her skill range, and that also including helping ive the others their injections.

The head scientist smiled proudly. The others might give him trouble down the road but he had one that would do his bidding no questions asked. The head scientist answered as he stood. "You may walk with me. The others need to know that your place is by my side. And that you are above them."

Hitomi smiles brightly at the head scientist and bow her head to him.

"Understood sir" Hitomi says proudly as she leaves the office with the head scientist only stopping to shut the office door and then quickly catching up to him but always remain just a step behind him as she wondered what the others would be like as while she could change almost without pain from going straight from human to animal forms she did love her hybrid form but she remain in her human form mainly due to it helping when she interacted with the staff that didn't know she was apart of the group that had the injections.

The head scientist enters the meeting room. He indicates for Hitomi to sit to his right. He would wait for all the subjects to arrive before beginning the meeting. He could not wait to see their reactions. Many of them would be meeting for the first time.

Seth came in with cuffs on his hands. He sat down at the far side of room away from everybody. What did they do to me... He scanned the room and just sat there waiting.

Alexander looked everyone over as they arrived, gauging who they were and what they probably were in for, The kid in the cuffs was probably in for murder or attempted homicide, and probably was a psychopath, best to manipulate him from afar then. he narrowed his eyes, scar on his face to, kid was a brawler. the next for scrutinization was Marshall he was shorter than Alexander, only just, a lot thinner and weeder looking, probably the techy type. pasty skin, red eyes, pointy ears, fangs, what was this kid? a goth techno dracula? Alexander sighed, at a ballpark he'd say the guy was in for some sort of cyber crime. Roxy was up next, while Alexander liked girls as much as the next guy he filed roxy away under 'nuclear' classification for 'f*cking dangerous' tall, to a degree, black hair, blue eyes, he could tell little, though from the scars on her hands he'd have to say she probably used some sort of bladed throwing weapon, knives due to ease of access? he shrugged. She could wait till later. last but not least was the girl who came in alongside the head doctor, he almost at once saw her as 'one of us' but was confused as to why she was working with the people who caused so much confusion and pain to them. he almost instantly threw her under the banner of traitor and first to fall if he could engineer it.

The doctor looked them all over and Alexander glared at him with barely hidden hatred, while he was pleased at being alive and being stronger, he wasn't so pleased with the half foot long incision in his arm that (so he was told) held the DNA replicator for his 'theoretical genome' which would unlock more of his powers over time. including his full form, at the moment he could only morph his lower arms, back and wings and tail. as well as scales here and there.
"so why the sudden roll call?" he asked "its not like we're going to escape or anything we're 1.5km under with armed guards everywhere and a meter of solid concrete behind each wall."

Roxy didn't take a sit. Instead she leaned against the wall with her arms crossed. While she was glad not to be in jail she was not happy about being so far underground. Roxy didn't like enclosed places. However after being held in an underground lab for six months it didn't effect her the way it use to. She studied the others wondering what animals they had been combined with and what crimes they had committed to get here. She found most of them uninteresting. With the exception of Alexander. He only intrigued her because rumor had it he had been combined with a legendary creature.

The head scientist beamed at Alexander's questions. "Let us discuss why you are all here. You are here to show the government that my theory about human and animal DNA being spliced together will create better more effective soldiers. Each of you has been given a chance to change not only your own lives but the future. Your DNA has been spliced with a unique creature. Now that you are all stable you will learn to fight and work together to accomplish missions of my choosing. Once you have completed your missions you will return to this lab. Are there any questions?"

Alexander listened carefully, though he'd folded his arms and was resting his head against them on its side, almost lieing down, watching Roxy as the only one who didn't sit down, smiling as she looked at him he caught her eye. he wasn't sure just how insane he was yet, but so far he'd stepped off the deep end in his own mind. "yeah, just a few; Why are we suddenly in the army? I agreed to a scientific experiment, not running round with guns, we're kids for frags sake." he pointed out and then sat up "and for that matter when do we get to see the sunlight when we're not killing people? I kinda want to go to the beach." he paused and lay back down. "oh yeah, and as a addendum who the hell decided that we were more suitable than others?" he gave a pointed look at Hitomi "and why is she treated as if she's different? is she your 'primary sample' or some other scientific burble that you gave us at the start?" He added the last one almost as a barb at Hitomi, not at the doctor. he then went back to staring in to space, specifically the space just off to the left of Roxy.

"Yeah. How soon can I get the crap out of here?" Seth said. He pulled at his cufs and tried to break them but failed. He looked around him and seeing the girl on the wall leaned over. "Hey! Help me break these!" He said whispering.

"Excellent questions Alexander. " the scientist said proudly. You are in the army because you will be stronger then any of the current soldiers the government currently has. My experiments will someday replace the current military. You are criminals, and there for no longer really children. Some of you have killed before, there is no reason to think that you can not do so again. I decided that you were the most redeemable of those offered to me for selection." The scientist took a breath and turned to Hitomi. "Everyone this is Hitomi. She is my right hand girl. She was the first to survive the splicing. And she get treated differently because she knows how to follow orders. The better you follow orders the better you will be treated. As for the outside world you will see more of it when I trust you and not until."

Roxy rolled her eyes at the scientist speech. She didn't know who had offered her up to the program, nor did she care.This was better then jail. Here atleast she had some measure of freedom and they had let her keep both her knives and her bike. She wondered when she would be allowed to ride her bike. She wasn't exactly excellent at following directions, but if it got her outside and on her bike she would work on it.

Alexander sighed and rolled his eyes "so where's her collar and leash? or does she purr when you pet her?" he snarked and stood, stretching. "Well, in that case, I guess I might as well start barking and being a good boy if I want to do anything I'll enjoy." he never had been good at doing exactly what he was told, oh sure jobs got done, but never in the way they should be. he just wished they'd let him keep his blade then things would be more interesting. but as it was it was kept from him until he 'proved restraint' "if thats it for this 'meeting' if it even deserves such a grandiose title. I'm going back to my room, unless any of you guys want to talk to me?" he asked, the question seeming actually warm and open ended.

"Seth if you can contain yourself I will remove those cuffs. If not you get to watch. Now we are all going to march down to the gym so I can see what kind of skills I have to work with." The head scientist decide to ignore Alexander's statement. He didn't feel like it justified a response. Without another word the scientist headed down to the gym. He was curious who would follow without being further prompt.

Hitomi narrowed her eyes on alexander to the point her eyes became feline like in looks as she slowly gets up not taking her eyes off of alexander.

"Watch how you talk mongrel as you would do to stay your tounge when around your betters" Hitomi says in a low but threatening voice ready to act on the head scientist's orders.

Roxy waited for the scientists to leave before indicating for Seth to come over. The cuffs looked standard. If they were she would be able to pick them even without her lock picks. Roxy had no intension of going down to the gym right this second. No sense in making the scientist think that she was going to follow his orders. She would go to the gym in a few minutes. She would see how far she could push the envelope.

Alexander grinned "call me mongrel again, and you will bathe in fire" he said, his hair rippling and glowing with energy, his eyes changed, "try me kitty, lets see how you fair. Lets hope they can resurrect ashes." he shrugged his shoulders, scales forming down his arms, his joins cracking as huge, serrated talens formed on his fingers, his canines grew a little as he smiled, "Behold the Inferno" he laughed and spread his arms, fire erupting down his arms, two huge wings ripping from his back. "Go on, meow for me, kitten." he walked towards her, looking intent on shredding her, then he passed her the heat from his body hot enough to sear from under a meter, and then he was normal again, wings, scales, claws, all gone in a flash of incandescent fire, his eyes normal again. "and by the way. the names Alexander. Remember it. it might be the last name you hear." he said and left the room.

Hitomi hissed at Alexander before noticing the head scientist gone and gulped slightly.

"Sorry mongrel unlike you i gets paid and has plenty of freedom" Hitomi says before she runs after the head scientist not wanting to upset him.
