^^^ It won't take three IC posts to say no, and now that you've made your circumstances known to us it won't be pushed any further.

If you still insist, the edit will have to wait till friday evening. There is now a pretty sizable quantity of the post I have to drastically change and I don't have any time tomorrow nor friday morning. For now, I'll strike out the interactions and the RP can proceed as you decide.

There is no IC reason that I would have to say no to the actual quest; I don't think it would be IC or actually contribute to be immediately dismissive for the OOC reason of "I am running the investigation"; and if I were to respond negatively immediately that would also be one extremely short post. Given the other consideration that if Shir were to say yes I wind up in the position of now having nobody to interact with, this is kind of a troublesome situation for me to respond in.

As a GM myself, if I am able I very much prefer not to GM what I am running myself. It feels a bit... self-indulgent at best, and at worst it's actively working against my own intentions as GM.

This is why I do often seek co-GMs in RPs where I am using a regular character.
