Special Trait: Has extremely acute senses, she can distinguish faint smells, can pick up on distant and quiet sounds and quickly locate things within her field of view.
Strengths: - Arle has quick reflexes and is able to pair that to keen senses to react quickly to threats and surprises. - Arle is a trickster, great at finding the unconventional, asymmetrical solution to combat situations. - Having been raised in a wild area, Arle is great when it comes to outdoor survival.
Weaknesses: - Arle is a complex heavy weapon, she is not a weapon that can be picked up in a pinch by another meister. - Lacks a lot of firepower as a weapon, her style is to win by keeping the control of the situation and dealing moderate damage. - She is easily overwhelmed by too many sensory inputs at once and ends up stressed or distracted quite easily.
Partner:
Soul Type and Appearance: A red soul with a fanged smile and a hood.
Appearance:
(summer style)
Taller than the average, standing at 1.71m, Arle has a slender frame, slim enough to look agile but wide enough to not look lanky. Her eyes have a colour close to bright copper and her, often messy, wavy brown hair goes down just past her shoulder. She has noticeably sharp teeth, with fangs.
For clothing, she says she doesn't care much but is noticeable she often picks clothing of a certain style, adapting it for cold and hot weather while keeping an identity and common theme and colour scheme. She likes loose flowing clothing and enjoys boots. She often wears bandanas and hats with fake wolf ears.
Her demeanour is typically confident, she rarely looks uncomfortable with herself unless she is stuck inside a room for too long. She has an intense stare, even when her facial expression is relaxed, though more often than not she looks a bit smug or annoyed.
Weapon Appearance and Description:
She takes the form of a double bladed glaive, with a variety of branching blades and handles to perform complex attack and defence patterns. Design-wise it has a black and copper colour scheme, the upper blade has a vague semblance to a wolf's head while the lower one has a straight simple shape that resembles a tail. The use of two blades sacrifices the finishing power of a single blade weapon but offers protection and the potential to keep up the pressure on opponents with sudden and constant slashes.
Personality: It is said Arle was raised by wolves, the veracity of that is questionable as she is known to tell tall stories, though from her behaviour you would suspect that might as well be the case.
Simply put, she does what she wants and has the social conventions at the bottom of her priorities, add that to a tendency to say what is in her mind plus a love for teasing and tricking others and you end up with a well-known trouble maker, albeit a cheerful, friendly one, who doesn't see the harm in her taunting and lack of a sense of personal space. In fact, once one crosses her, which is hard to do, all the playfulness stops and she starts to address such people with fewer, colder words. It takes a long time to regain her trust once you break it.
She is pretty active, often preferring the outdoors and the touchable/practical over the theoretical. While she has a natural practical 'cleverness' to her, not many would describe her as smart or knowledgeable and she certainly doesn't have grand views on society and the world, just wishing to not be bothered by either, she likes the simple things like eating, fighting and sleeping.
Teamwork is as struggle as she always wants to do things her way, but at the same time she cares a lot about all her comrades, especially her meister. A self-described “big sister type” she often blames herself if anything goes wrong and is always ready to take a hit so someone else is safe.
Backstory:
Her biological parents were a meister / weapon duo who died in a mission weeks after she was born, after that she was sent to a distant sister who saw the baby as nothing but a burden and promptly abandoned her in a forest. She was found by an aging couple who lived in the forest as hunters and was adopted by them. They had no children of their own for Arle to be raised with, though she would often interact and play with the many dogs they used in their job. They were doting parents who rarely censored their daughter, only making sure Arle would not stand for wrongdoings or be mean to others, they also were a bit antiquated, not having much technology in their home and a fashion sense that was almost a century behind.
They lived in peaceful isolation on a forest but knew it would not be healthy for Arle to be limited to that small world. Once she was old enough to walk through the woods without much danger, they would incentivize her to go interact with kids in the nearby village, though they would rather homeschool her than to send her to the local school. With her energy and weird behaviour Arle would be seen as a troublemaker by many parents, one loudly questioning if she had been raised by wolves, the girl liked that and would from then onward say that was indeed the case.
With her teenagerhood came the first signs she was a demon weapon, something that was unknown to the couple. As isolated as they were, even they knew about the DWMA, and also knew it would be the right place for their girl from then onward. With no reluctance they made the arrangements to have her enrolled, starting a new chapter in Arle’s life, far away from her adoptive parents and her homeland.
Secondary Characters:
Resistance Members

Liliana Nores Role: Weapon Curse: Instead of turning into her weapon form, she becomes random utensils Bio: An aloof, distracted and yet elegant girl with a habit of staring at others. Most of her wealth is out of reach thanks to the situation, but she still has enough contacts to help out the resistance.
Arturo Bacose Role: Meister Notable Skills: Soul Force Curse: He will freeze any weapon he tries to wield Bio: His clan of meisters is know for being able to adapt to most weapons, as well as their maid / butler theme. Cold in general, he has a pampering side towards Liliana, everyone else is out of luck. He is an accomplished meister though, and might be worth training with.
Special Trait: Though Evan has considerable charisma it is not usually notable in terms of combat. As such he has practiced for a long time in order to train himself physically for combat. His main strength in this regard is his dexterity. Evan's ability to dodge, and move quickly is quite notable, and makes him hard to hit unless carrying considerable weight, or a weapon that hinders his ability to move.
Strengths: Charisma - Evan is a gentle soul, and as such is able to show considerable empathy for those around him. To those receptive to the young man his presence is a constant reassurance. If one is willing to listen, and hear him out he can inspire those to continue on in spite of themselves, stress, or other issues. However Evan is no messiah some may find his kindness to be foolish, and immature and thus have the opposite effect.
Speed - Never much of a power player Evan trained his body to be deftly capable of twisting, turning, running, and other handy things. As such his stamina, and ability to dodge attacks are considerable.
Weapon Versatility - Evan has no specific preference when it comes to partners, or what weapons they are be it guns, swords, maces, or scythes or otherwise. He is usually capable of at least fighting with some sort of proficiency with many different weapon types.
Weaknesses: Physical durability - Evan lacks particular constitutional benefits he is not particularly hardy and though he can maybe take one seriously painful blow he is below others who have more experience taking their punches, and also lacks physical strength making heavy weapons, and obstacles an issue.
Believer in Light - Evan's empathy is a double edged sword though he can make friends easily he also suffers from being too trusting of others. Though he is not dumb he is willing to give even enemies the benefit of the doubt as long as they have not intentionally killed, or maimed other people. Evan's kindness can be exploited if specifically preyed upon.
Sickness Prone - Poisonous, and otherwise physically degrading attacks take a big chunk out of Evan's stamina though he has trained it well his physical body is frailer than some others. That means his immunue system and body can take more damage from illness, or other sorts of similar damage.
Partner: Coda
Soul Type and Appearance: Soul is standard, and normal by all appearances shows no special nature. Evan's specific soul is color a light green and looks to apparently have some goggles above its eyes.
Appearance:
Personality: Evan is extremely kind, and generous willing to put himself on the line in order to offer people the chance others may not see. He believes in the fact that people aren't evil, and that evil itself is just an inheritant lack of good in themselves, or life. He doesn't hold grudges, and it takes something truly dark to make him angry, or upset. Always willing to smile even if he is hurt he wants to be friends with as many people as possible. But he is not bubbly, and joyful more so he is calm, and peaceful. He enjoys life, and wants others to do so as well. Life has many problems, and the weight can hurt people. While he has his own baggage he has made peace with himself. A serene sort of person Evan loves stories, and is perfectly willing to take on a hard job just as much as he is to sit down and relax with someone.
That being said Evan as a combatant is decisive when it comes down to it. While he is still receptive to the plight of others, especially those whom he has talked to, if an enemy is attacking him with the intention to kill he will put his life on the line to protect himself. He is no a martyr, and he has no intention of being so. Nor he is trusting without reason if someone is a known liar, and or he is well aware of someone purposely trying to lure him away to his death he will not comply. He is kind not impulsive, or moronic.
In summary Evan is reliable, and well mannered a kind young man with a big heart but willing to do what must be done if it comes down to it.
Backstory:
Born to unknown parents Evan never really grew up with a family he was raised by a kind nun, and her brother who lived in the same town. Evan was quiet as a child inquisitive, and bright he often experimented with things. As he grew older he had many friends a natural product of his kindness as he was willing to share even with the more pushy kids. He helped the nun with her chores around the camp, and even helped her cook some basic things. He took his studies seriously, and tried his best to get ready for his own life. Despite not being adopted by anyone Evan took his life very much in stride making friends who he would consider almost his own family in the orphanage some of which turned out to be capable of becoming weapons later on in life. Though he didn't intend to become a meister he did start training physically shortly before he became a teenager. His life changed the day Evan went out to buy some food and ran into a witch who tried to kill him to take his soul. However a veteran soul reaper by the name of Garth Mcbride saved his life as he had been hunting the demon for about a week. Evan spent the remainder of the day with the man who had felt bad and offered to take the scared boy to eat lunch with him. On that day Evan explained to Garth that he was an orphan and had been on his way to shop for some food for his orphanage. Garth took note of the boy despite being easily scared he had a good heart.
When Garth found out the boy was an orphan he returned with him to the orphanage and asked if he could adopt Evan much to the boy's surprise. Garth stated he, and his partner Sam had both been looking to have a kid but never had the chance to settle down much. Garth's busy life, and the fact that his partner was a nurse at the famous Death City. After the process was complete Evan said goodbye to his family, and left for a new life. His mother Sam was a kind woman who loved him from the moment they met since she was an inherently maternal woman who had been looking out for kids since she herself had graduated from medical school. Enrolled into the DWMA Evan quickly made a lot of friends there and trained hard to catch up never afraid to ask for tips, or help from others. A model student Evan learned his wasn't quite cut out for combat but tried his best to hone himself as a meister. He worked with many different weapons to get a grasp for combat scenarios including his dad's weapon a man named Joseph Null the same man who had helped Garth save him. Some partnerships fell apart, and others stuck but when the deal between the DWMA and witches was complete Evan just was happy there would be no more violence, or at least less. Being sent on this trip to the islands he was excited for a new adventure on the horizon. Maybe a chance to meet new people, and thus new friends as well.
Strengths: As a witch, she can very much fight without a Weapon, utilizing her own magic. Based around body modifications, she could modify her own body on the fly for various effects. Should she manage to get into contact with another's body, she could very well modify those as well. Otherwise, she has other smaller spells like any witch, but her best works needs a workshop, time and materials to produce, which was why she started looking towards more mundane gears to protect herself. Has no qualms using anything to gain the upper hand. If she was near water however, she can empower many of her abilities, as well as being able to move easily inside them.
As a Meister, she's proficient with mostly melee weapons, ironic considering she was compatible with most Weapons due to her own personality and her nature as a Capybara witch. While she can shoot ranged Weapons, CQC was where she was best at. She works best in a group as a supporting role, but was strongest if working with another Witch as Witches tend to be.
Weaknesses: As a witch, she lacks the explosive power many Witches have, or even the stronger familiars some have, her repertoire being very much close ranged in nature. While she does have some spells for longer ranges, it has no where near the sheer power a certain pumpkin witch has, or even that certain frog witch. Most of her spells are also supportive in nature. Any good opponent that can fight in range, can and will overpower her should she not be able to get closer for a more decisive strike.
As a Meister, while she was no pushover solo, it meant that she cannot bring out her potential; a capybara witch works best with strong minions surrounding them after all.
Partner:
Soul Type and Appearance: An oddly laidback looking soul, purple in color, with a vague facsimile of her hair style.
Appearance:
Personality: A friendly caring sort of person, the type to persuade someone gently on why they shouldn't do certain things. Gives off a feeling of that older sister, warm and forgiving. Takes a lot to anger or rile up, with a certain level of protectiveness to those she considers her charges. She was still a Witch however, and like an older sister, tends to be overbearing and headstrong when riled, or roused. Has no qualms digging up someone's weaknesses and using it against them, or any other sort of moves other would call conniving or underhanded. This doesn't happen often however, as she was mostly pleasant and calm most of the time. Has a habit of stocking up on food while simultaneously also eating almost all the time. Extremely selective of what she eats.
Backstory: Not every Witch shared the same sentiments of being at peace with DWMA. It was hard to forget that fear after all. That fear that some day, you would be hunted, and your soul eaten to make a Death Scythe which would hunt down more of your kind. It was hard to forget that fear, even if your higher ups decided to make peace.
Judea wasn't one of the stronger witches, thus she has been hiding for quite some time before peace was made, and even more after that. She lived as far as she could from people, going out only from time to time when she was forced to. But as time passes, and she had the opportunity to join DWMA as a Meister. It was a unique opportunity, and she told herself she'd just join to see what it was like, before bailing out if she didn't feel like continuing. It was a bit worrying at first, with her Soul Protect never letting up even with those close to her, but soon, as the days passed, she relaxed a bit more, enjoying her time a little more.
She went to school regularly, she helped with the assignments, did the trainings, complained about the trainings, and generally got along with the other students. While that fear never really disappeared, at the very least, she was finally surrounded by people and socializing, something she realized she had been starved of.

Coda Mor Périgord ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ Fifteen | Male | Demon Weapon ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ Strengths
♦Flexible. Coda is able to hide even in the smallest of spaces. ♦Nimble. Coda is quick on his feet, and can run short distances in record time. S P E C I A L T R A I T ♦No Presence. Coda is almost always able to evade people; his lack of presence makes it easier to hide. This can also be used effectively to sneak up on opponents and if honed down, in his weapon form, he may be able to achieve a sort of invisibility before an attack.
Weaknesses
♦Stamina. Coda has no perseverance whatsoever, easily succumbing to exhaustion. ♦Physical Strength. While Coda can easily dodge attacks, he would not be able to take any physical attacks head on. A majority of Coda's hand to hand combat relies on using his opponent's strength against them; a punch could literally knock him out.
•p e r s o n a l i t y
Coda was delicately morbid in all of his gestures; sensitive, withdrawn, uncertain and vulnerable to flattery. While quiet and cautious, Coda was also resentful and quick to hold grudges. Instead of a magnetic charisma, Coda exuded more of a "i'm on the verge of breaking" aura. Normally, this caused the people around him to step up and become the "guardian" friend. Since Coda himself has a weak predisposition, he doesn't mind at all. Coda dislikes crowded places and would rather jump into a beehive of angry bees before stepping up to be the leader of anything.

weapon: Coda has always struggled with his weapon identity, deemed useless by many people. Coda is able to expertly transform into chains. That's it. Coda is a long metal rope (with a green tint to it.) Coda's wielder would be able to adjust the length of the chain and size at will.
soul: Coda has a light green, mellow soul.

Evan Coldwell
For as long as Coda could remember, it was just his mother and him; just them versus the world. Coda regarded his childhood as an uneventful and fairly normal one. They had their difficulties, but Coda's mother was a hard worker and she gave her all to provide for her only son. Coda, in turn, did everything he could in his power to secure a comfortable future for his mother. After discovering his weapon abilities, Coda devised a goal; his grand plan was to become the best demon weapon out there through the DWMA. In his eyes, it didn't matter what hardships he suffered--for they would never compare to his mother's--Coda would see his plans to the end, he was going to succeed.
Unfortunately, his plans fell through completely. Of course, transforming into chains did not immediately make him the most sought-after weapon. And of course, not having a complete mastery of his abilities didn't help either. Also, perhaps the fact that he often cowered and hid during practice negatively affected his chances. But what really caused a tear, destroying his carefully devised steps to recognition and success, shredding all the optimistic hope he still had left was none other than his mother's death.
After that, Coda was rather desensitized to the world after that. He lived his life with no purpose, allowing the events that happened around him decide his future. So when he was chosen for the trip--he had nowhere else to go--Coda absentmindedly agreed.
Special Trait: Power Amp – While Sloane has a very narrow range of compatibility, her ability to boost the soul wavelength of a meister is actually very strong, allowing a strong resonance to be built in very little time, which in turn supports potent soul-enhanced techniques.
Strengths: Sloane's strengths typically only see the light of day if she is able to overcome her mental hurdles. If somehow able to apply herself to a situation and extend effort without fear of failure, Sloane is a fairly talented individual. She's observant, intelligent, able to learn quickly and solve problems, physically fit, and a good fighter. A natural affinity plus lots of training allow her to partially change into her weapon form, manifesting her halberd's axehead or spearhead almost anywhere on her body. Overall, she's pretty strong offensively if she can be coaxed into it. Around friends -people who've treated her well and supported her, with patience and kindness, despite her shortcomings and built up mutual trust- she feels able to try and be the person she wishes she could be all the time, a good friend and companion who's always there for those she cares about.
Weaknesses: Under the weight of a self-imposed pressure to be flawless and brilliant, she can't stand to fail and let people down. As such, she appears reluctant to put any effort forward, gets moody if she has to, and even moodier if she messes up. Sloane's typical standoffish attitude makes her difficult to deal with as a person and difficult to handle as a weapon. Her behavior makes her unlikable as a companion and teammate, and when in weapon form, she's poorly balanced and unwieldy at best but literally caustic to a wielder's hands at worst. It's difficult for her to get along with others. In addition, her ability to take hits is pretty poor.
Partner: Witch Meister Judea
Soul Type and Appearance: A maroon, disinterested soul. Its eyes are downcast and its face scrunched-up, while there's a bow behind it.
Appearance: Fairly tall and overall slender (except where she shouldn't be), Sloane cuts a striking figure only further aided by her choice of attire.
Weapon Appearance and Description: As a weapon Sloane takes the appearance of a gleaming halberd, a weapon that combines the strength of an axe with the reach and precision of a spear. With vivid color and masterful contours, it makes for a dazzling weapon, but it's actually fairly impractical. Its shaft is hard to get a good grip on, and with a lot of weight in the axe-head the halberd's balance is pretty unusual, making the weapon unwieldy.
Personality: Cold, unapproachable, pessimistic, snappy, sarcastic, even churlish—Sloane is all these things and more. She gives off the air of someone fixated on Number One, uncaring about anyone else. However, she wishes this wasn't the case. If she could, Sloane would be outgoing, supportive, friendly, humorous, and enthusiastic, but instead her natural perfectionism fills her with anxiety and inadequacy. Having convinced herself by numerous incidents and failed attempts that she can't be a better person, and that her only inherent qualities that make herself worth anything in the eyes of others are superficial, she possesses rock-bottom self-esteem. This sustains the surly, morose mood that leads her to be unkind to others, be it by assuming the worst or making fun. In most situations she would rather not try than risk failure.
Despite all this, if able to get past her own mental hurdles to apply herself, she is both a kind and principled person, even cheerful and funny, as well as an intelligent and capable problem-solver. In order to manifest this side of herself, however, she needs the unflinching goodness of others.
As side-notes, Sloane is fond of sleeping, clothes, cars, horror and monsters, history, and poetry.
Backstory: Ambrose Maddox and Millicent Roads suited one another perfectly. Ambitious, smart, headstrong, vivacious, hailing from poor families, and perpetually down in their luck, they found in each other the perfect partner in their shared vision of the good life. Married fresh out of university mostly paid for by scholarships and looking to square their debts before making it big, they started up a daring business and got to work. Years passed and business fluctuated wildly, sometimes landing the couple a few months of blissful comfort and sometimes sending them sleepless nights in crippling debt, counting on that next shipment. They worked hard, demanding the best from one another, and though it strained their relationship at times, they finally achieved something like their dream of success. It wasn't quite the peak they hoped for, but they were happy. When they had children, a son and two daughters, they sought to bring them up as just the sort of hard-working, self-made successes they themselves had been.
Unfortunately, their luck did not hold. Their son Verne, a kind and self-effacing soul without any more ambition that helping out others, proved to be a disappointment to them. Their oldest daughter, Minette, turned out startlingly like Millicent's mother, who'd been a primary factor for her drive to earn a better life; she was lazy and a slob, and frightfully overweight. That left Sloane, quiet and smart, clearly gifted, and eager to achieve. The cost of raising three children plus a sudden downturn in the couple's ever-changing business gradually brought around tough times for the family, and so it was that the parents' ambitious turned to Sloane.
Sloane's parents raised her with sky-high expectations. Having fallen short of the good life they sought, her mother and father strove to make her into the perfect, golden child. They imposed high standards and seldom rewarded her successes, instead punishing and correcting her mistakes. She was taught to be the best and settle for nothing less, and for a long time she tried very hard. Eventually, however, Sloane hit her breaking point. In her teens, with the pressure mounting of getting into a good school with huge scholarships, her attempts to be perfect started to backfire. She started getting angry with herself and those around her when she failed, and refusing to try when success wasn't assured. Her parents, worried that their star was burning out, increased the pressure. In time the bright girl became standoffish, rude, and withdrawn, unwilling to open up and brutally critical of herself. Despairing, her parents wrote her off as another failure.
It was at that time, however, that her abilities as a demon weapon manifested. The product of a recessive gene long-hidden in her father's family line, she revealed herself to be a stunning weapon, and suddenly a new avenue was open to her parents. They reached out for meisters about her age, making offers to try and get her paired with an up-and-coming meister bound for success. If their daughter could become a Death Scythe, after all, no shortage of fame and fortune would be forthcoming for her family. Sloane tried one match, regretted it immensely, and promptly abandoned her mother and father. She wandered for a time, finding shelter and work where able. She spent some time with her brother and sister (working toward becoming a butler and a chef, respectively), her only confidantes for many years, but ended up at the DWMA.
Ephai Filho is a short, young boy with fair skin and round, light green eyes that are coated with notably long eyelashes; a mole under each eye. His hair, faded from baby pink to a light green, soft like sable, falls down in wavy locks to his shoulder. His unruly bangs falling down to frame his face, portraying an innocent look. Polished, just like a doll. His short stature fits his lean build where as his arms and legs are thin, his shoulders slim and his waist narrow. Insecure by his weak build, Ephai tends to wear over-sized clothing, but claiming it's because he doesn't want others to stare more in awe of his body than they already do with his face.

Ephai tends to be foul-mouthed and cocky, showering others in his confidence. Contrary to his looks, he tends to often brag about how cute he is, usually calling others by rude nicknames. His overall portrayal is someone who's a people-pleaser, acting nice in order to get on people's good sides. In certain threatening situations, Ephai is shown to cry very easily, depicting himself as weak and a crybaby. Although his arrogant personality tends to overshadow his other qualities, Ephai is capable of being decent. He does have a mellow side to him and can genuinely express kindness to others.

Coming from a big family, Ephai Filho falls as the youngest. His entire family consisting of older brothers who constantly teased Ephai for being "girly-looking." He never cared because his mother seemed to always put all the attention on him rather than his other siblings, and he always made sure to rub it in their faces. His family isn't anything special. They all are meisters, following their dad's footsteps, whereas their mother was a weapon; Ephai turned out to be just like his mother. He grew up babied by his loud mother and his soft father, the two showering the youngest with love. However, Ephai wasn't close with his brothers or any classmates while growing up.
Having a rather bold personality, Ephai had trouble finding relationships that accepted him since the majority couldn't handle his brashness. It did trouble him a lot at a young age, which correlated to Ephai wanting to please those around him. Despite his mean mannerisms, Ephai knows not to be stupid, thus sticking to people's good sides in order to fit in. At first, it was bad to the point Ephai had created a different him, someone kind and boring--someone with no presence. Yet, Ephai wanted to be himself. He would watch the relationships his brothers would make even though they had a roughness to them too. Ephai envied them.
Nonetheless, Ephai had decided it was time to just stop caring. So when he enrolled in DWMA, Ephai spoke honestly and to the point, deciding that whoever can deal with who he was as a person(weapon?) was someone he could trust.

Weaknesses ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔
Lacking in hand-to-hand combat.
Can't fight alone, needs to rely on his meister for support. Ephai knows he isn't so well during physical combat, he easily gets jealous of how well other weapons can support themselves alone during battles. However, as his strengths states, Ephai if pressured can use an arm to trigger the opening of his parasol but won't transform it into the spear; he himself believes he is not strong enough to battle one on one with someone with his skills.
Weapon Description ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔
Parasol: As a demon weapon, Ephai is able to fully transform into a parasol. In this form, the ends of the parasol when closed is turned into a spiral, the edge sharp, acting like a spear when closed. When opened, the parasol can act as a shield, protecting the meister from attacks. Good at long range and can swing out in wide range, striking and blocking attacks. Although it's not as effective as a shield.
Name / Nicknames: Katherine Leblanc - alternatively, Kath, Kathy, Katie, anything you can think of. Reactions may vary.
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Role: Meister
Special Trait: Katherine is able to sense people's emotions from their soul. It doesn't go very far below surface level, she can only tell how someone is feeling at that point in time. If someone is trying to conceal their true emotions, she can only occasionally pick up on it. It depends on how good the person is and how much they're trying to repress their feelings. In a battle, Katherine can use this ability to identify who souls might be. It's a little fickle, as it's difficult to reliably tell who someone is based on their superficial emotions, but it comes in handy. It's also useful outside of it, allowing her to pick up on if someone is not quite telling the truth.
Strengths: • Physically, Katherine is incredibly strong. Not only is she capable of swinging Cameron around without a sweat, but even without him she packs quite a punch. She lacks technique in hand to hand combat, though with strength alone she can still be a threat.
• Good at thinking on her feet. It isn't hard for her to whip up a battle plan, even when she's being shot at. Her success rate is not ideal, but it's better to fail than to die.
• Baking god.
Weaknesses: • Katherine doesn't care much for consequences. She'll rush into things just fine, and when they fail, suddenly it's the end of the world. A vicious combination.
Soul Type & Appearance: A normal soul. Pale blue with a wide, almost mischievous grin. You can't help but wonder what it's up to.
Appearance: Katherine is slightly above average, at 5'7. She's deceptively strong - at least for her build. Tastefully thin, she calls herself, if it weren't for the strict fitness routine she puts herself through she would be anything but. It's ridiculous how much sugar she eats. She's no bodybuilder, but she can lug Cameron around without breaking a sweat. She often has a lot of bandages all over her body from all of the injuries she can't remember getting.
Katherine's hair is short and a bluish white she swears is natural. Catch her after she's just woken up and you'll see the worst bedhead known to man. One of her eyes is covered by her hair, though she does pin it up from time to time. Despite her cheerful personality, Katherine tends to look displeased when she's doing anything but smiling. She's been told it's intimidating.
Personality: Katherine is as sweet as sugar. She's peppy and energetic, a sociable person supported by her overwhelming confidence. For good reason too, she's a very capable Meister with a good brain to boot. Despite this, her accident prone nature means that things don't always go to plan, and her confidence has led to countless disappointments. Though she should be used to it by now, she reacts very badly to these. Her emotional and over-dramatic nature cause her to shut down. It doesn't take a whole lot to set her off either. It's never always sunshine and rainbows with Katherine. Just most of the time. She can be a little insufferable, stubborn and impatient with a healthy dose of inconsiderate. It's not intentional. She just lacks some self awareness.
Katherine sees things as give and take. If she does something for someone, then they will eventually have to do something in return and vice versa. It just makes sense to her. She doesn't use this view to get people to do what she wants, but she tends to operate on this principle. The way she perceives the value of actions is a little skewed too.
Backstory: Katherine is the only daughter of two Meisters - Alison and Victor Leblanc. Her following in their footsteps was a surprise to no one. In fact, when she was a child her education was supported by material that would help her on her inevitable path. It isn't something she resents, even if she was given the choice she would have decided to become a Meister. They did the best they could to be there for her, but duty calls and it was no surprise when they would disappear every now and then. Katherine never did get used to the disappointment.
She was never lonely, though. Other than the countless babysitters she'd had over the year, she had no difficulty making friends. People tend to like you more when you bake them stuff too. Most notably, the plain-looking boy with the camera she'd encountered one day. She'd demanded that he take photos of her with his poor feline model. He'd accepted, and from there their friendship blossomed. When they got paired together at the DWMA, you can imagine Katherine's delight. They became inseparable.
Name / Nicknames: Cameron Schumaker - Cam will suffice for those who are close to him.
Age: 16
Gender: Male ♂
Role: Demon Weapon
Special Trait: Cameron is capable of partial transformation. He can also grow or shrink in size while weapon form, becoming a small hatchet or a large battleaxe over two meters in length. He can sustain size transformations for up to 15 minutes.
Strengths:
An excellent planner. Cameron is calm and collected when nothing goes awry. Unfortunately, Katherine often becomes a wrench in his machinations.
Very good long-distance runner.
Excellent at cooking in a variety of styles.
Weaknesses:
Terrible at improvisation and on-the-spot thinking.
Soul Type and Appearance: A normal soul. Light brown, with an unassuming expression of content. It seems perpetually satisfied.
Appearance: At 6’2” and 160 lbs, Cameron is the literal embodiment of a human lamppost. His only other notable feature is a pair of extremely thick glasses. His vision is absolute garbage, requiring a +10 prescription just to function properly. He’s legally blind without them. Otherwise, his dark hair and smiling face are fairly bog-standard. He’s not particularly muscular, but he’s excellent at long-distance running (which he hates).
Cameron mostly wears shorts and t-shirts, but often dons thicker clothing in order to lend them to Kath, who gets cold easily. In terms of accessories, he’s never without his camera, and is always looking for good shots and candids.
Weapon Appearance and Description:
Cameron takes the shape of a 6 foot long axe when he shift into a weapon. The haft is 4.5 feet long, and the head makes up the rest. Unlike most demon weapons, he appears to be made of a bone-like substance. Regardless, he remains as durable and effective as any other demon weapon.
Personality: Cameron embodies selflessness. He’s willing to help others at all times, and even goes out of his way to make sure hat those around him are comfortable. Unfortunately, he does it so much that it tends to get overbearing and annoying. He’s been working on toning it down recently, and is starting to make more friends as a result. He’s accepting, loving, and endlessly patient. Unfortunately, this does mean that he’s a bit of a doormat at times. His concern for others also leans on over-worrying, especially in regards to Katherine. He gets antsy when they’re apart for too long, as who knows what trouble she could be getting herself into?
Backstory: Born to Aaron and Maria Schumaker, Cameron grew up in Washington before moving to Death City. While he didn't have many friends before moving, the transition to an entirely new environment basically ended his entire social life. Any friends he made, he lost fairly quickly due to his overbearing and fretful nature.
As a result, Cam turned to solitary hobbies like reading and photography. He enjoyed the peaceful nature of taking it slow and steady, and often found himself wandering the streets of Death City in his free time, looking in bookshop windows and taking photographs.
One sunny Saturday, Cam was readying his camera to capture a wandering cat when a force of nature swept him up and demanded his attention. A white-haired girl basically tackled the poor cat, then pestered Cam to take photos of her with it. Seeing no reason to refuse her, Cameron lined up the shot and captured what would be the first of many photos of Katherine. The girl then dragged him to her own home to download and print the copies, then sent him on his way. The two would later meet many times to talk and relax. Cameron was delighted to have a new friend, and she didn't seem to be bothered by all his worrying. She was clumsy and forgetful at times, and Cam was more than happy to help her whenever possible.
It was even more of a joy when, later, the two met at the DWMA and joined as partners. They moved into the joint Meister and Demon Weapon dorms at the Academy, and have been inseparable since. Furthermore, with someone to focus all his worrying on, Cam has started to branch out and make more friends since enrolling at the DWMA. Life is good.

Name / Nicknames: Allison Chase, aka "The Doll Ghost"
Age: 18 (appearance stuck at 16)
Gender: Female
Role: Meister
Special Trait: Allison is a ghost, which provides her invisibility, intangibility, and flight, but prevents her from interacting with the world around her unless she possesses a vessel to use as a substitute body, usually a doll, action figure, puppet, or mannequin. She can possess any inanimate object in theory, but right now, she can't move while possessing something unless the object is articulated.
Strengths: --> Ghost form is extremely useful for scouting and exploration --> Vessels are disposable for the most part --> Ghost form is immune to any damage that doesn't act on the soul, does not need to eat, drink, or sleep, and is immune to all diseases --> Vessels can be repaired or modified if necessary --> Has unlimited stamina due to being undead
Weaknesses: --> Ghost form is extremely fragile against Demon Weapons, makes it easy for an enemy to eat her soul --> Unable to train physical strength in the same way as living people --> Ghost form can be detected by those able to sense souls --> Legally dead, unable to own property or purchase goods in anything but cash, among countless other problems and inconveniences --> Can terrify people without meaning to
Partner: Not decided
Soul Type and Appearance: A normal soul, royal blue color, constantly wears a cheeky smile
Appearance:
Her ghost form is roughly similar to this, except with a greyscale, transparent body and several stab wounds that remain to this day. She is also stuck permanently wearing a set of ghostly pajamas that can never actually come off, as they've become part of her ectoplasm.
The current vessel she's possessing is an extremely-detailed, highly-articulate, and surprisingly-resilient DWMA-made mannequin. However, it is still obviously not 100% accurate, so as not to cause an uncanny valley effect in others. This is most telling with the mouth, which is a simple marionette-style open-and-close affair, given that she doesn't need to move her vessel's mouth to speak.
Personality: Allison has been through a lot, being dead and all, but she prefers to look on the bright side of things. After all, her parents had their souls eaten, but she didn't, so in a way, she's still alive, right? She also refuses to pass on, preferring to spend as much time in the world of the living as she can, making sure that the tragedy that befell her and her family can never happen to anyone else.
She has a vicious hatred for those who would consume souls for their own personal gain, and believes in the DWMA's cause. She also believes that the United States seriously has to recognize that the ghost community exists. Being legally dead is not fun. If she manages to rescue a soul in the line of duty, she make sure to treat it with as much respect and dignity as possible.
Backstory: For the first 16 years of her life, Allison was a normal girl who went to a normal school, had normal friends, and was all-around completely ordinary.
Then a mask-wearing serial killer broke into her house in the middle of the night and murdered Allison and her entire family with a chef's knife before eating her family's souls right in front of her. She was lying on the ground, completely helpless, unable to move or speak, and waiting for the end. The final, permanent death that so many feared.
At the last possible second, she heard a blade meet flesh, and the killer fell to the ground before he could take a bite. The next second, her tiny soul was being held by someone completely different. A young girl, roughly in her age group, with a black school blazer, a miniskirt, and a deadly-looking scythe. The scythe transformed into a white-haired teenager who consumed the killer's red soul right then and there, scaring the shit out of her even further, before they discussed what to do with her.
It wasn't like she had a say in the matter, being mute and all, and they eventually took her with them.
And it was a long trip to the pair's destination. She was shoved into a suitcase so she couldn't exactly tell what was going on, but it lasted for what felt like days.
It turned out that it had been much shorter than that, because the pair were apparently headed to the DWMA's campus in Nevada, which...well, now that she thought about it, made perfect sense. But she was still worried about what would happen, and being locked in a mute, paralyzed state while stuck in Suitcase Hell for what felt like an eternity wasn't helping matters, along with the fact that, you know, her entire family was dead and she couldn't even go to the funeral.
All in all, it had been absolutely miserable, soul-crushing experience, but thankfully, it wasn't much longer before the world became much brighter...and she was still in her pajamas. In public. On the DWMA steps. While a ghost. For the first time ever.
Naturally, she freaked out and probably left a horrible impression on the rest of the school, but before she could get upset enough to consider going full poltergeist on the DWMA, a bunch of faculty members rushed outside and managed to calm her down enough to explain the situation (with her rescuers' help) and get her inside and situated.
To make a long story short, she was legally dead, meaning that she was also homeless, since she could no longer own property and her parents' house could only go to living next-of-kin. This also meant that she had nowhere else to go, so she begged to stay at the DWMA. She was allowed to enter the rolls as a student, supplied with a custom-made mannequin to possess, and became the DWMA's first ghost student. In time, she grew to appreciate the school and came to recognize it as her true home, though she's never fully forgiven Maka and Soul for what happened while on the way to the academy that fateful night.

o r i g i n
Callaia was the child of a meister and demon weapon that happened to take their partner titles a little too seriously. The duo was composed of two prodigies, Chiara and Santiago, from well known familial lines, pairing the two geniuses together was a great symbol of strength for not only the DWMA but for society as well. Not only were the two of them great at what they did but they both enjoyed it, the instant satisfaction of making the world a better and safer place was something short a drug to the both of them.
Unfortunately bringing a child into the world wasn't enough to keep the successful partners home for long. Their success had garnered favor from both sides of the family and Chiara's parents were more than willing to take in a beautiful baby girl if it meant allowing the family name and reputation to keep growing. So, Callaia grew up a prized child of the heroes of their family name, dotted and fussed over by grandparents, aunts, and uncles, and picked on by her jealous older cousins. Despite the pampered lifestyle, she was afforded from a young age that feeling of loneliness only planted itself more firmly as the years past.
Elementary was the time her abilities started to develop. Harmless games of tag turned into wailing and yelling as Callaia unknowingly used her soul wavelength while tagging the other kids back. This led to multiple visits to the dean's office, strict scolding from her previously dotting family members and relentless teasing from her cousins who knew she would turn out to be "a violent dumb ass."
Things didn't get much better after that, Callaia's loneliness from always hearing about her parents and seeing them in the news turned into a cold resentment that fueled her actions in school. Soon not a day went by where she wasn't being scolded by a teacher or getting hit over the head with a rolled-up newspaper by her grandmother. When she was told to shape up or get out she was granted admission to the DWMA, and has since spent her time training and sparring with the other students (even if some of them weren't 100% willing). Callaia has her sights on becoming strong enough to kick her "parent's" ass and take all their "fame and glory" for herself.
p e r s o n a
Callaia is quite a contradiction. While she may exhibit a sense of impetuous energy just before a fight, she displays a masterful application of her dilligence and keen eye through the exploitation of her victim's opponent's weaknesses. While she is not actively searching for a fight, or partaking in training, she is disinterested and cool at best. Hell would freeze over ten times before you witnessed Callaia making an effort to make a new friend or greeting a new classmate, though not to say she is one without a single friend. Only the brave and the bold make it past Callaia's walls and see the interior protected by the harsh and violent armor of Callaia's personality. To her friends, she is fiercely loyal and dependable. The type to defend you in your absence and stick around long after the last person turned tail and left. The coolness her acquaintances are often met with is melted away into a surprisingly thoughtful and even sometimes affectionate warmth that shines through even when she put on the front of "not caring" or doing something "on a whim".
s t r e n g t h s
㊋ kicking ass & taking names: From years of self-training Callaia has fine tuned her control over her wavelength, paired with her rigorous physical training she is a monster when it comes to hand-to-hand combat. ㊋ don't be a coward, fight me. : definitely from years of being bullied but also being an antagonizer, Callaia developed a gift for riling people up. don't know how helpful that actually is, but it's great for her ㊋ f*&$ those losers!: maybe a byproduct of having geniuses as parents, or she was just blessed by whatver god is watching over her stupid life, she's smart. Not just in the academic sense, but being able to pick up on patterns, habits, and has a good sense for strategy.
w e a k n e s s e s
㊋ ugh, stop messing me up!: While hand-to-hand might be her biggest strength, it seems those years of solo training have really stunted her ability to hold a stable resonance. ㊋ no we in team: teamwork has not quite found it's place in her personal dictionary. ㊋ i don't need friends, they just disappoint me.: when she's not fighting you, she's ignoring your prescence. What a lovely girl
『 "What're you looking at? Are you tying to start a fight? Idiot." 』
Special Trait: Variable Form – Usually the domain of Death Scythes or the rare Demon Weapons with multiple forms, Ji-Ho is able to change the shape of the weapon he takes; kind of. To be more accurate he himself does not change shape, his Demon Weapon form is a Lighter and he cannot change that fact, but rather the flames he produces can be moulded into different shapes. The amount of control he has over his flames varies depending on his own skill and the connection he has with his Meister; he finds the fire easier to control when he has a strong soul resonance with his partner and over time the number of forms he can take will grow as he becomes more skilled and imaginative.
Strengths: - Variable weapon form - Skilled hand-to-hand combatant; knows Tae-Kwon Do and Kick Boxing - Cooking; mostly Korean foods and a few other small things
Weaknesses: - Water; even a light rain can affect his ability to control his form and can dampen his offensive power - Cocky; can be overconfident in his or his partner’s abilities - Sore loser; Ji-Ho is a competitive person and can lose his composure at inopportune times
Partner: Jackie Jett
Soul Type and Appearance: Ji-Ho's soul doesn't look that different from a regular person soul, except that the tail is shorter and it's movements resemble that of a flickering flame.
Weapon Appearance and Description:
An ornately decorated lighter with a skull motif; the front and back are covered in small skulls of varying sizes and colours which, taken as a whole, form a larger image of a white skull on a black background.
Personality: Confidence is the key trait that shines through when dealing with Ji-Ho. He is a very self-assured individual, very certain of himself, and it shows in how he carries himself and how he interacts with others; he finds it easy to deal with new people, rarely being flustered or showing nervousness and possessing an easy grace that makes him somewhat charismatic. At the same time he can come across as cocky to some and he does definitely cross the line into being too confident in himself at times. He has great confidence in his abilities as a fighter for example and doesn’t want to partner with anyone who he feels would hold him back.
Ji-Ho is also somewhat vain; he cares about his looks a lot and likes to spend time making sure his appearance meets his own high standards. He can also be a little shallow, judging people by their appearance and by his first impression of them; however, it’s not their physical appearance that his judges, but rather the amount of effort they appear to have put into how they look. To Ji-Ho the amount of care one puts into their appearance is a good indicator for a lot of things. It is hard to make him change his mind from his first impression of someone.
Backstory: Although Ji-Ho comes from a fairly long lineage of Demon Weapons, he is the first person in his family to attend DWMA. Originally from South Korea his parents moved to America not long after they were married and settled down in Northern California, his mother giving birth to Ji-Ho a few years later; in was in this environment that Ji-Ho was raised, the only child of an immigrant family from Korea. He has never been to his parents’ home country, though they always made sure he knew and understood the culture they came from, and it remains one of his life goals to visit South Korea at some point.
When Ji-Ho first displayed the ability to turn into a Demon Weapon his parents explained everything to him; about Weapons and Meisters and Kishin and the people who fought them, about Lord Shinigami and Shibusen, also known as the Demon-Weapon Meister Academy or DWMA. They explained how even though their family had the potential to become weapons they had never joined Shibusen or partnered with a Meister because their Weapon forms were often impractical and not suited for battle; as a Demon Lighter Ji-Ho was not any different, but even so he was enamoured with the idea of fighting monsters and being a hero as any young boy would be. He wanted to join Shibusen and help fight the Kishin.
He began to train from that day forward, convincing his parents to enrol him in martial arts lessons and letting him train to fight. In all likelihood they only allowed him to do so because they thought he would never be accepted with his Weapon form being what it was, something which backfired when Ji-Ho was accepted to the school anyway. Ji-Ho himself was determined to get accepted, regardless of what Weapon form he had; if no one would want to partner with a Lighter then he would just fight by himself, he would become strong enough by himself and make do without a Meister.
Special Trait: Super Soul Perception - Due to his nature, he's easily able to maintain a clear, calm and focused mind. It makes it nigh-impossible to sneak up on Solomon in combat and he's able to see through soul protect and even detect madness. He's even able to pick up and identify different wavelengths with relative ease.
Strength: • Tactician: In most circumstances he can keep a cool, rational mind. As such he can form battle-plans in his head. Said plan changes constantly in the heat of battle. • Stamina: He follows a strict training regiment given by his family. As such his stamina is nothing to scoff at, with his exhaustion point being reached much later compared to his peers. • Tenacious: Through sheer will and effort, he's able to achieve things he sets his mind to. He doesn't like giving up as he feels responsible for his family's name. • Drawing: As a hobby, his drawing skill is impressive.
Weaknesses: • Slightly inflexible mindset: Though not impossible, once he sets his mind to something, he'll likely push through it. He has a particular dislike for indecisiveness. • Reactive/Defensive Fighting Style: The nature of how he fights is that he waits for enemies to attack him. Though he does attack, it's more to prod their weaknesses or bait them into an attack. Enemies similar to him in style may give him a hard time, so he tries to cover it up with faking killing intent and making them attack. • Inherent laziness: Solomon tries to rid himself of this trait but it's a long fight ahead to do so. In his mind he would rather laze about either drawing or sleeping. He has to wrestle with this trait but it's been getting better.
Soul Type and Appearance:: An amber soul with a bored look about it. It rarely moves, seeming content with just staying still and not doing anything.
Appearance Keith stands at a decent height of 5'11", a touch taller than others his age- though his slack, lazed posture would lead you to believe otherwise. Despite himself, he is fairly fit and toned, likely due to genes and his family's strict training schedule. He has a rich, caramel complexion, contrasting with his droopy amber eyes that seem to pierce right through you.
Keith always sports an indolent look about him, his face usually relaxed into a slight, lazy frown. He argues that this is what his facial muscles morph into when he's not using it. His posture can be summarized as 'pretty bad', as he's usually slouched, laying back or laying down.
Keith usually just wears whatever he can get his hands on and is comfortable, this usually translates to a plain white tee, with his signature black and red jacket. Though his fashion can change up depending on the weather, wearing even less during the more hotter seasons.
During his first scholastic year, he was generally ignored/overlooked amongst his female peers. This changed, somewhat, due to a formal event that meisters had to attend, as such he was forced to clean up. A few friends helped him look sharp, forcing him into a suit, touching up his hair, and making him to stand upright. After said event a new club about him was formed by a handful of female students which of course he is absolutely oblivious to.
Personality Keith isn't what you would call active, he (used to) lives just to laze around. His general attitude reflects this greatly, always just preferring the 'lazier' way out. He usually speaks in a clear and concise sentences to get his point across quicker. As an adage to this, his tongue can be quite sharp at times. Keith has gotten into trouble with his peers in more than a few occasions due to his rather honest, straight to the point, dialogue. With that said, it is difficult to really get a rise out of or anger Keith, as he usually lets most transgressions roll off his shoulders.
Due to this, the way Keith approaches a problem is unique, his motto being 'Solve it as quickly as possible'. He opts for the fastest approach to nailing down a problem so he can go back to 'lazing' around.
Now that Keith's pretty much become the 'pride' of his family, he is trying to rid himself of his 'lazier' ways, as he does not want to disappoint his family or besmirch their name- emphasis on trying. He really does want to make his family proud so he's trying to stay more active.
Other than that he's surprisingly diligent about his studies, getting A(s) in all subjects. Keith's family makes sure of this, making him deathly afraid of his mother's wrath (due to failing a subject) than not being able to laze around. He also does not mind helping others out (though feigning annoyance), as long as they are willing to help themselves out.
Backstory Keith had his life planned out- Well, not really. Though what little, minuscule life plan he had went up in flames due to the discovery of his rather 'exceptional' wavelength compared to his siblings. His plan was simple; Get through college with whatever degree. Find a nice, comfy 9 - 5 desk job. Come home and laze about and not worry about his parents expectation.
To go back and explain, his family is or was one of the most prestigious families of meisters. Keith's great grandfather and his brother were famous meisters in their time. Many in his family were exceptional and a few even famous. Unluckily, his grand-parents AND parents didn't quite have what it took to become exceptional, noteworthy meisters. Despite this, their family still trained religiously, in hopes that one of their children would actually become a powerful meister. Keith's two brothers also didn't make the cut, being a tad below even average meisters.
To their complete and utter surprise. It was found that Keith had been the one they were hoping for. His parents simultaneously were pleased and dismayed that their third son, the one least suited, was the one to be bestowed with the 'talent'. Keith agreed with them heavily, he knew that both his brothers were better suited for this but that was the hand that fate dealt.
Despite this, his parents offered to not push him through DWMA. Though they tried to hide it, he couldn't bear seeing them disappointed and acquiesced to their wishes, much to their delight. Keith had entered the academy at the age of 11.
Anemone Violette Fulgar, Vio, Violet, Sloth, Ane, Annie, Anne
Age:
15
Gender:
Female
Role:
Demon Weapon
Special Trait:
Anemone is gifted with the ability to generate and manipulate electricity, allowing her to shock/electrocute her opponents. She can spark off when annoyed or excited, but she has very poor control over this ability due to her laziness/reluctance to train it so she has some questionable aim if trying to shoot a bolt at someone, or using it to allow her or her meister to go faster she can make them go overboard and miss their target quite considerably.
Strengths:
Potent attacking power Can absorb electricity Very damn fast sometimes a little too fast
Weaknesses:
So lazy she makes sloths look like energetic bunnies Lousy control over her power Quite likely to nap during a battle
Partner:
Tony Adduci
Soul Type and Appearance:
Appearance:
Anemone shows little care for her appearance, often being seen sporting wild bouts of bedhead or covered in dirt from sleeping on the ground. She has a somewhat slim build, standing at 5'4 and weighing in at 140lbs, her magic making up for her lack of muscle
Weapon Appearance and Description:
Refer to appearance for weapon, but basically she's a metallic trident with a small gem on the hilt to charge and generate electricity from.
Personality:
Anemone is a lazy, unmotivated person who doesn't seem to care or feel much about anything or anyone besides herself, she would rather skip out on classes and nap than do anything else. Due to her laziness, she has difficulties controlling her vast and powerful energy once it's unleashed. It's not uncommon for her to zip straight past a target, miss entirely or commits friendly fire, which she seems to genuinely not care about, often saying it's not her problem if they can't dodge.
Anemone acts like a selfish and spoilt brat, which she is, often complaining if someone isn't to her liking, this the only real active thing she openly and willingly does of course, because of course, it is. She is certainly the type to put in an insane amount of effort to prove a point about why she needs to be lazy, even if it was more effort to do so than the actual task at hand. She is also surprisingly rude, with a vulgar way of speaking despite her upbringing.
Prone to lounging around and doing nothing, Anemone would rather get things done as quickly as possible so that she can get back to doing nothing. This leads to messy, incomplete jobs or hastily finished jobs which lead to more and more problems, but the girl cares little for it so long as the goal is met. She also has a pretty straight-forward fighting style that reflects this; she would rather use all her power in one huge attack at the start to finish the fight quickly so she can go home, consequences be damned.
She's also a rather moody teenage girl, veering towards the almost always grumpy side of thing due to her overall reluctance and resistance to even be away from home at all, to begin with. If something isn't to her liking, she will without a second thought go to try and change it till it is.
Backstory:
Born into a wealthy family, from a young age she was given everything on a silver platter with a little bow on top. Never having to work hard for anything, spoilt rotten and always getting her way. It's no surprise that when her parents realized how bratty she was getting that they tried to take that mindset away from her, that she did need to work to get something. However, instead, that seemed to make things worse as she started to rebel against them in turn.
For lessons they tried to force her to go to, she instead skipped out, often running away from home and not returning till she was hungry. Or she would hide somewhere on the massive estate they owned. This went on for years, only getting worse and worse till eventually, her parents decided to do something more about the situation. They decided to enroll her in DWMA, in the hope that the school or at least a teacher could sort out their troublesome daughter. She resisted at first, of course she would, they were taking away her easy lifestyle. She didn't want to leave the luxuries of home, however with much kicking and screaming about the matter, she was eventually shipped off to the school.
Once there, the girl was almost always in a rather bad mood scaring off most potential partners. That or a good shock to the system would do the job instead. She figured if she played up enough, then the school would send her back home...however she didn't take into the equation a boy named Tony Adduci. He didn't seem too bothered by her shock tactics or her grumpy mood. Or anything she tried, in fact. Though honestly, it didn't take much for her to give up on the matter, especially since she found out she could just dump all their work on him and enjoy doing blissful nothing. Although she has come to somewhat enjoy his company, she won't admit it though she's more than happy to stick up for him, especially seeing as he's just about the only one she can really talk to after her shockingly bad first impression on everyone else.
Name/Nickname: Tony Adduci. He doesn't have any especially prevalent nicknames but will respond to almost anything.
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Role: Meister
Special Trait: Durability: When it comes to resisting damage and tanking hits, Tony is second to none. Knives can rarely pierce his skin, and even other meisters would have a very difficult time keeping him down. His primary method of fighting is simply running straight at an opponent and ramming into them with his weapon since smashing into walls or objects doesn't hurt him.
Strengths: Vicious: Tony rarely resorts to it due to his personality, but when push comes to shove, he is willing to do nearly anything to win. Throwing sand, biting ears, and even gouging out eyeballs with his fingers. Tony does not like doing these things, however, since it hurts his reputation and reminds him of his past.
Speed: Tony can't handle it very well, but he can go pretty fast when he wants to. While he isn't the fastest student in his class, he is very close. His acceleration isn't the best though, so it takes a few seconds to get to his maximum speed.
Accommodating: Tony will do his best to support anyone he works with, usually willing to take the brunt of group work without complaint. He goes to great lengths to make others feel comfortable and safe and usually tries to take leadership positions because of this. He especially loves to comfort and spoil his classmates, usually by doing things for them when asked. Because of all this, he will usually be far more effective at something if he believes he is doing it for someone else and is far more effective alongside allies.
Weaknesses: Poor Reaction Time: Arguably Tony's worst disadvantage, he is unable to react to changing circumstances nearly as fast as other meisters. Attacking especially fast opponents can leave him unable to react to attacks, and it is very difficult to fight while he is moving at full speed.
Honor: Against opponents who haven't done anything especially heinous or hurt his classmates, Tony is extremely unwilling to actually harm them. He always chooses to use nonlethal actions if he can, and will only go all out if it is to protect people. This generally makes him one of the weakest meisters offensively speaking, unless he is attacking an opponent he deems appropriately foul and willing to actually use lethal force.
Maneuverability: While Tony can move at fast speeds, turning at full speed is almost impossible. This makes Tony near useless offensively in small spaces against more agile enemies, and chasing enemies becomes far more difficult in areas like forests. This combined with his poor reflexes makes especially agile opponents very dangerous against Tony.
Partner: Anemone Fulgar
Soul Type and Appearance: Normal soul. Tony's soul is a light yellow and wears glasses. It seems to have a strained smile and seems to almost always be moving.
Appearance: Tony is incredibly particular about his appearance, only ever wearing professional attire when given the choice. Semi-casual clothing is the best he can do in nonformal situations - of course, in combat or PE class he usually wears sweats or a tracksuit, since he does not want to perform worse in combat for the sake of being professional. He stands at 5'8 (173 cm) and weighs 170 pounds (77 kg) - while he is average height, he is very insecure about it and it is one of the easiest ways to upset him. He has a very good posture to try and compensate.
Personality: Tony is an extremely hardworking and driven person, focused entirely on helping the people around him and helping them grow to their ultimate potential. He absolutely hates letting people fail to achieve what they want to do and will go as far as doing other people's work for them. He is very accommodating and likes to make people in his class feel comfortable and safe. In fact, he motivates himself during training by pretending his imaginary opponents insulted one of his classmates or few friends.
Tony spends most of his time volunteering or training himself as a Meister. As a result, his grades have stagnated - they are one of the things he absolutely refuses to share with others, and talking about it is only left as a last resort to make a classmate feel better about their poor scores. He has tried on several occasions to start a study group, but he has very few friends so this endeavor almost always ends up failing.
Tony is very self-conscious when it comes to his reputation. People who remember him from his past schools are usually scared of him thanks to his past actions, and Tony goes to great lengths in order to try and apologize to them. Usually, these measures include giving them money from his part-time job or begging forgiveness on his hands and knees. He would give anything to find the person that he injured badly and incited the change in his personality, so he could apologize to them. He is very desperate to be accepted and to be approved of by others - this makes him come across as uncomfortably needy and attention-seeking (which he is).
When dealing with someone especially rude and dangerous, Tony starts to regress to his old behavior. He will usually get very physical and close to the transgressor, and the wrong words can quickly lead to Tony starting a fight with them. Tony always feels awful after these events, even if the person he fought was trying to hurt him.
Backstory: Tony grew up in Death City his entire life, but he used to be far different than he is now. Until early in his middle school career he was a horrible delinquent, and very quick to anger. His home life didn't help much, as both of his parents were bad influences - and they even encouraged most of the things he did, saying it would make him strong. He regularly spraypainted his old schools with crude drawings of assault, smoked cigarettes that his parents gave him, and got into fights nearly every day. His reputation was extremely poor and he was infamous in his old schools, but everything changed in his first year of middle school. In one of his near-daily fights, Tony knocked out the student he was fighting, causing them to fall and smash their head onto the curb.
While the damage was very superficial, the amount of blood and possible danger of permanent damage greatly traumatized Tony. The student ran away shortly after and seemed to be either too intimidated to press charges or simply never thought of it since nothing came out of the fight - they moved three months later. Ever since realizing that he has been hurting people for years, Tony tried everything in his power to make up for it. He spent most of his free time either working at his part-time job or doing volunteer work around the city. These efforts were taken to a new extreme when his baby sister was born a few months later since Tony wanted to be a good influence for her.
After making it into DWMA, Tony quickly joined the Student Council and did his best to create a new persona for himself, trying to make people think he's changed. His dream is to one day become Student Council President, and given his hardworking nature, it wouldn't be hard to believe he will reach that dream quickly.
While Tony was certainly excited to finally be in DWMA, quite a few students seemed to remember how vulgar and violent Tony was. Those that didn't were either quickly warned by the wiser students, or were turned away by Tony's rapidly growing desperate and clingy nature. By this point, Tony was coming under the impression that he would never find a partner at the academy. However, he didn't take into account a girl named Anemone Fulgar. While she was rude and occasionally electrocuted him, she never directly said no to his inquiries on becoming partners. After annoying her enough, she finally agreed. While Tony isn't fond of her laziness, he refuses to comment on most of the things she does that he doesn't approve of, and Anemone is one of the few people that Tony refers to on a first-name basis.
T r a i t : Telesynchronization | Long range capability of synchronizing with their partner. There is also the possibility of partial utilizing Viola in her weapon form while utilizing this trait, though at her current level this can’t be utilized to the fullest.
Viola is rough around the edges. She is harsh, not communicative, and honestly just not great with social interaction. The girl is known to snap at the drop of a hat, and when she does it usually results in some disciplinary action from the higher ups. Violent, that’s a good word to describe her as well - and this results in her being generally avoided by most students in her and other classes.
But she’s not all bad, right? That’s hard to say as she doesn’t really seek out interaction unless told to do so or absolutely necessary. She follows rules very well, instructions too, but when someone tends to break those guidelines Viola will often stray to her typical ways and lash out onto these people. Viola has been seen respecting strong figures of authority, or just strong people in general - death scythes and senior meister with ages of experience and accolades are given no lip or naysay by Viola.
She also has a soft, sweet, less hostile side to her that’s just buried deep-deep in there. Perhaps some traumatic event in the past caused this side of her psyche to be suppressed to drastically, or maybe it’s just a complex. Nonetheless, to those who are lucky or unlucky enough to get close to the girl - they would find that when someone does something that she genuinely appreciates she can’t help but shyly say thank you and move on about her day.
Backstory
The Pardues Family is extensive and influential in the Northeastern U.S, their family fortune roots long-long ago during the colonial era and the history behind it is kinda blurry even to the family members. Nonetheless, Viola being born into such a family - and to the family chief executive even more reluctant, caused quite the different upbringing than many children her age.
Though I wouldn’t say it was horrible. She was fed with a silver spoon, never had to worry about getting things she wanted, had countless nannies and maids to clean after and cook for her. The early years of Viola’s life were everything a kid could dream of, she was practically raised like a princess. But as she grew older, so did the expectations, gender means nothing to a Pardues and you are expected to pull your weight in the family. Homeschooling, grooming, policies, business strategies, force fed down the girl’s gullet as they prepped the young Viola for a life of black dresses and PowerPoint Presentations
So she ran away. Not little-kid temper tantrum ran away, young Viola saved up every bit of money she could muster to scrounge up around the house and then her poor mother’s credit card for good measure. And with her funds secured she fled their New York estate and headed west to do things on her own. Now don’t get me wrong, when she did this she was around twelve years old and for a kid her age to be on their own traveling from one side of the country to the other - it’s not safe! She would eventually come across a retired meister named Elizabeth Sbaghetti, whom pressured the girl to live with her for a while. Allowing the young girl with exceptional knowledge stay with her mostly for entertainment.
Not much longer after that, Viola's demon weapon powers would awaken and her newly found meister teacher began to show her the ropes. The seasoned Elizabeth would harness the girl's skills quite easily, though the woman's social difficulties definitely rubbed off on Viola over the few years they spent together. After some time, Elizabeth pressed the young Viola to join the DWMA before it was too late. She was initially reluctant but Viola eventually decided to go along with it if only to become stronger so she could return to her former teacher and put her in he place.
