Ciel came out of stealth right next to him mid-swing and within dagger range, and wasn't "airborne" as the latest update on the collab describes, so I am not sure what its intent is. Can you clarify the update?

I'll edit the post when I wake up. No point in trying to edit at 2:00+ AM in the morning, when I'm also sick.

In the meantime, I think you guys need to have a bit of re-education hammered into your skulls:

- You are, at the least, 5 levels below the enemy's weakest fighter.
- You are at level 20, which makes you comparable to one of the Empire's standard soldiers, be it melee, ranged or in terms of magic. You are more skilled than conscript or soldiers with just basic training, but you're not hardcore, ogre-slaying, nightmare-riding badasses. That'll come later.
- You do not possess the skill to "hide in plain sight", erase your presence or otherwise simply "vanish", unless you use magic. Rogues and stealth-users in the world of Oublioth rely on actual stealth, not mystical pseudo-stealth-skills that make them invisible at their discretion. If you want to turn invibisle, you cast a spell for it. And since none of you have subvocal-casting as a passive, you'll need to specify the casting in dialogue.

I will make adjustments to fit with Ciel's actions, but keep in mind that Hawklen is roughly 10 levels above your character. The likelihood of you successfully disappearing and surprising him, while directly facing him, are rather slim...

Also, I'd like to ask all of you to please excuse me if I sound rude or snippy or unpleasant. I've been sick for over a week now, still am, and there's a lot of belly-aching, panic and annoying neighbours to deal with - all which grate at my mood, which isn't stellar to begin with. This is obviously no excuse to be uncouth and grouchy with you guys, but I tend to be bad at self-control and such. Sorry if I come across as a bigger dick than usual. :<

Nah, I'm happy with the whole "Ciel is outmatched" thing, I never really expected him to win at all - just that I felt the update didn't match the actions I proposed.

Just gonna repost this here, because I don't wanna have to dig for the Interest Check again.

Legendary Creatures are counted to be around level 100~120, they're extremely rare and few, and are typically of a more monstrous nature as opposed to humanoid. I'm sure there are humanoids who have reached these levels as well, but they're probably even more rare than the monsters that do.

Level 90~ is considered to be equal to something on the scale of causing widespread calamity. Ancient Dragons or other very powerful beings like liches or something similar to that would be around this level.

Levels 75~85 would be considered Heroic-tier. This is a level that few reach, but is still attainable, though it requires a lot of hard work, dedication, willpower and a bit of luck.

Levels 65~70 would be equal to something like a nation's greatest martial general/warrior or court magician or other influential and powerful person.

Level 60~ is comparable to something like the Royal Guard or Elite Soldiers, or high-ranking adventurers.

After which the impressiveness falls off about every 5 or 10 levels. With conscripted, untrained soldiers being around level 5 and run-of-the-mill warriors being around level 6~15.
