Came across this animated story again and thought we could use it, change the lore around a bit to make it work of course. It would concern the town when people start missing parts of themselves due to debts unpaid. Lyds is only slightly phased before asking Beej what he knows about it.

I was thinking a more demogorgon-ish monster that just kills indiscriminately, but maybe it would look like that guy

Okay. Again, it's just a thought for some different creatures that appear to the droll little town of Hawkins.

Oooh, so maybe there's more than just the one big bad? I can get on board with that. Maybe at some point, the scientists try to travel to the Netherworld to find more demons, but they screw it up and leave a gaping portal that other creatures can just move in and out of at will. So they have several monsters to contend with

I love it! And it's akin to the portal in the actual show even though the monsters are close in design. We can shake it up a bit with eldritch horrors.

I had a thought for later. The Maitlands, wanting what's best for Lydia, put her into school. So.Some time later, a horror arrives at her school causing chaos and panic. Lyds is hiding either with the girl who picks on her or just a fellow classmate who's just freaking out because they saw the creature and Lyds is just done with them.

"Shut up, you idiot! Do you want that thing to fucking find us? Do you want to die?!"

So wait I'm confused. Are the Russians working with the lab? And are you saying that Gray suit guy had them find this out intentionally?

I just need to know so I can write a proper reply

Thinking a separate lab that's connected with this one. I'm thinking they were sent to find a mole but found out this instead. If that's okay with you. That or Grey Man had no idea that the Russians were planning this.

Would it be okay if we pushed the reveal back a little? I figured maybe once the monsters wreak havoc in the town, maybe Lydia gets recaptured and when BJ goes back to the lab to get her, he finds Ash and they have an epic demon fight. Would make for a more dramatic appearance
