Okay, Starter is up for everyone. Nice and simple to start us off and to introduce our characters. Simply get them to the dining hall. The official deadline is the 5th May. However I have a feeling we will easily beat that. Any questions feel free to ask.

Also do you have a questionnaire @Hedgehawk? I don't want to copy and fill in the blanks of someones personal character. I've browsed at them, but I'd like myself to remain neutral for morals sake- because I have a slum life. It's not hard or anything I just partied to 23 from like 4, 5, ... since 13/14 (when I went to the other High School after my family moved to the valley over the hillbend to the south I had no reason to join sports since I had no contemporaries anymore, but I did by a mothers asking in my Junior year to Track... But it was the last option so I didn't do much. I slept in class after I finished my work, left school when I wanted (did a year and a half after Senior year for that) and got picked up by poor kids in their automobiles walking home- I left them for the free-spirited hoosiers when parties became more about sharing beer/marijuana than just having it and being regardless.

I'm 28 now and have worked the past 5 years, and while I was jumping jobs to write down my own understanding of a HAZOP from employment agencies after I got forklift experience and asked in-job instead of asking the employment agency about being a "material-handler" I believe I understand all of it now. It's time for me to just have a job and go to college.

I also have been exercising. I've noticed the girth it takes to just use my arms with dumbbells so I decided to just get pecks in. Still nothing, but it's easier and the situps are comfortable and the jogging is pleasant. I say in another 3 years I should have the stuff. This is what's slowing me down for the site. I'm sure I'll get a message in within two to three days (but I do believe I can do every day at least once- you have the teachers and I need to be a regular soldier not an officer [I have officer stratagems in mind(I am a ample 1st Lieutenant/good Major/commanding Rear Admiral/commando(/)field Commander, but whilst I may know how to be a good 1st Sergeant in war from what I know and do I want ... That's just it I just made it this far :9.]

@HedgeHawk Is this okay of me? The roleplayer above said to join DISCORD. I forgot to mention that my laptop had been punched directly with office might. It doesn't allow DISCORD to function, and even glitches- sometimes into a permanent black screen. I have to restart it when that happens. There's also a chance that the restarting process negates the internet browser from opening up. Sometimes that can lead to several restarts with the same situation.

How did they get onto the Officer Programme? I am not intending to be an officer, but if I were to have a reason later it'd be because my swordsmanship had no extra swings, my strength is at 0 having my attack be a well placed 1 (strength is to be said after such a comment; "strength is 2") which allows me to reap a lunge as an extra move, and probably my sharp attitude to relax for searching things to do.

Preferred Weapon: Iron longsword.

Appearance Details

Hair: Brown hair, 3in lazy Mohawk, zeroed sides.

Eyes: Hazel.

Height: 6FT 3IN.

Body Type: Adept and concentrated. Athletic, but not peaked. The abdominal muscles are visible and the pecks are gaining on the inside of the torso.

Clothing Style: Sleeveless shirts that are either brown, green, or black (some shirts are thinly longsleeved and some have hoods), green army camouflage pants, tactical light leather combat boots.

Scars, Tattoos and/or Piercings: The word "DEATH" in black medieval lettering on right arms inner forearm. Black spade symbol on left shoulder.

Personality Traits: My personality traits are positive-neutral, zany, contemptly solemn, I also have some sardonic guile that no one seems to understand as anything except adamant endeavors. So I chose to delay my bodybuilding so I wouldn't become Master Knight all at once.

Biography: I come from a relatively big family. My father was a soldier for the country Poland. He was part of the Air Force and after three years of mandatory service he and his wife, my mother, settled down on their own property as petty lords. My only sister chose to be one of the retarded baroque people that misunderstood pure-blood status and had children with a simpleton. I seized the opportunity to fundamentally keep my familys good name even better and decided to enroll into the academy. My parents loved it and understood it'd be even more romantic than Ranger; I'd return an Overlord. With marrying a Polish Lady after that I think I'd make Arbiter.

Misc: I have glasses. They're rectangular. One day I intend to get goggles that stretch snuggly over my nose. And I was a thief in the night while growing up with my family it taught me agility before I bought my own longsword, afterwards my pride caught up to my soul and I stayed a true swordsman. I also know how to use a scythe.

@Viper Commando Thank you for taking the time to create a character sheet for this RP. I am sorry for not replying to your earlier post. I have been having a relaxing weekend and have only managed to deal with this now.

After looking at your character your character sheet, I have unfortunately decided to reject your character. Going through the sheet I have found multiple issues that raise red flags with me that make me believe that you wouldn't be a good fit for this RP. There are quite a few points so I will keep it as short as I can:

Firstly, your character sheet is written in first person. If you read the current IC posts and the other accepted characters, you will see that they are in the third person. I hadn't put in the rules that it was third person only. I had hoped that is was more of an unspoken rule. So that's my fault.

Secondly, going through the sheet, I saw that you mentioned that his reason for joining the officers program was that he didn't want to be on it? Thought out the sheet there are plenty of these contradictions that make reading the sheet quite difficult and confusing.

Thirdly, I mean this politely, but I do not believe you have fully grasped the lore of this Roleplay or the concept. Looking through your sheet, you mention the country Poland, which doesn't exist in this RP as well as a mention of an airforce, which considering this is the 1400's is most certainly not right.

As a final price of parting advice:I would heavily advise against Self-Inserting yourself as a character. It reveals your real name and leaves you open to creeps and people who might wish to be nasty or cause harm. Plus to alot of GMs, it can come off as lazy and not putting any effort into your character.

I hope that you understand my reasons for your rejection, and I wish you well on your future endeavours.

@Viper Commando As a follow on from my previous post, since you posted while I was typing. It is generally frowned upon in the community if you post your character into the 'characters' tab and then also decide to post in the IC. If you were to do this in other RPs you would probably find yourself getting banned from them.

P.S. In your IC post you mentioned it was still dusk. But the IC post at the top says that it is 8am, so Dawn. Asides from that, you wrote two decent paragraphs. If you work on writing in third person and being slightly more accurate with your wording, you will be well on your way!

@Hedgehawk I just so happen to be roleplaying/training to be a Master-Ranger. I roleplay as well as respect Land Forces from an archers perspective. I intend to master Anti-Villain, and it's been a wonderful experience the last decade. I've learned swordsmanship, agility, fletching, arson, attack, knight, smithing/forging, dungeoneering, topography, and several dynamics for measuring distances, quantums and diameters. I've even slain a shade.

I'll just explain myself.

I read that 500 students were enrolling, but only 50 would become officers. I had hoped it'd be a regular military academy and accept my want to be a soldier. I didn't want to be pompous and try to be an Elite.

I was going to go second-person from first-person so the third-person aspect would be understandable. Having entered the academy I would of understood the power of mingling but would need to be natural- that would at least allow me to notice who tried to mingle to begin with and it would of worked out just fine in the end, especially so with combat training, and I would of been a noble student; raising my hand, getting honors by pleasant circumstances, and overall well met.

As for my country I read that you were perfectly acceptable with something about Scandinavia. I didn't read it but understood how it was meant. So I figured I could also create my own country. The Air Force thing was simply out of respect for my father who was in the actual Polish Air Force. Yes, it is early on kingdoms. But my Air Force wouldn't be metallic planes but would totally be hot air balloons that worked with our Navy.

@Viper Commando Thank you for understanding and heeding my words.

I don't want to come off as rude, or brash, so please excuse me if this comes off as direct: Do you know the difference between yourself a character? I only ask as in your previous post you are using the first person to describe the experiences that both you, and the character you submitted for the RP have been through. I sense that alot of this may be lost in translation. I am guessing in real life you are part of some ranger group, scouts maybe??? And there you studied archery and swordsmanship?

If that is the case: Awesome! You are a far better man than I will ever be! I can't barely go outside without nature trying to attack me in some way. However, you do realise that a shade is not real? Shades might exist in a fantasy universe, but in this mortal realm they do not. We don't need dungeoneers in this world. I hope that makes sense.

I just want to ask these questions, not to make fun of you or to attack you, but to help you understand. I would hate for you to carry on like this and go to another RP where perhaps the GM is not so considerate and perhaps you were attacked. I would hate to see an incident like that happen.

As for the other things:

- Very few of the officer cadets are pompous or elitist. In fact. In terms of player controlled characters, I don't think there is a single elitist one.

- Your next point ties in with what I said above. When you speak in first person, everyone assumes you are talking about yourself. As in you. The OOC writer. Therefore writing in first person only confuses things. For Roleplays third person is default. Also, general English rule: Never swap between first, second and third person. Never write in the second person either.

- This kind of proves my point that you really should read everything carefully rather than skim reading it. There had been questions regarding Scandinavian countries yes. But, we wee discussing crating a new country inspired by the Scandinavian region. Not picking one of the countries.

- In terms of an Air Force. It is great if your father was in the air force. I am sure he served Poland proudly during his time! However glossing over the obvious mixing real life with Roleplay issue we have already discussed, I don't think a hot air balloon air force would have worked. I am not great at history, but I am fairly sure the hot air balloon came about alot later. I am sure there is a history buff in this thread that will correct me on that!

Overall, I don't want you to feel discouraged about Roleplaying from this experience. Instead I would love for you to learn and move on and go join another amazing adventure.

Biography

Lisette is the daughter of Gulliviere and Steryn Quilt, the co-commanders of the Seeking Hawks mercenary company, known for their scouts, spies and saboteurs. Her 10th birthday present from her parents were a bow and a hunting knife; her 'party' was to sneak into her parents camp without them noticing. Lisette loved it. Okay, apologies, the post is now up. So to give some context outside the post. Dorms are in the building opposite the hall across the courtyard. First year students are on the bottom floor. Each room consists of a window, bed, bookcase which is empty and a desk. Overall they are quite small.

This is the part where you are now free to go and talk to other people, find reasons to speak and say hello. Ont he board is a class list and all students in the RP are in the Alpha class together (the other being the Omega class)
