Biography: In his homeland of Spain, Marcus was a foremost politician working against the autocratic government of his nation. With a full team of reliable people backing him, he was mere months away from establishing his group as a party that stood a chance in elections. With the promised day coming up quick, he pushed himself far beyond his limits to make sure that his team was ready for the trials ahead. Unfortunately, as a result of his working habits, Marcus fainted during a rally and hit his head. The shock rendered him unconscious for weeks, leaving him stuck in a coma by the time election season rolled around, which destroyed his party's chance at victory.

Marcus awoke four years later to the sound of his wife's voice. The sudden rush of joy sent him tumbling from his hospital bed and onto the ground. At first he thought it was just fatigue, but when the numbness in his legs wouldn't go away, it was clear something was off. The doctors informed him that his accident left him paralyzed from the waist down due to irreparable brain damage. The news hit him like a brick. Fortunately, other than his paralysis, he seemed to be in perfectly good health, and was discharged within the week to live with his wife once again.

Marcus adjusted to life in a wheelchair without much issue. Even though his nation was still plagued by the same government, and his goals had been quashed in one fell swoop, the chance to spend time relaxing at home with his wife offered him a new perspective on life. He quickly found purpose as a scholar and reconnected with his old team, looking to start rebuilding his campaign from the ground up with a new strategy in mind. Thankfully, with the insurance that came with being paralyzed, he was allowed to stick to his research unhampered.

Despite his life taking a turn for the better, Marcus would soon find that his most recent choice in reading material was about to send him for a whirl...

@texI don't believe so personally. I'm not trying to be crude but in universe rules don't imply that you would get your ability to walk back, and it would just be as easy as to have him walk normally but have suffered some sort bad attack by the people would just leave him scarred visibly.

But as Marcus continued delving into literature, he would soon find that his most recent choice in reading material was about to send him for a whirl...
