Eric nodded.
-"Yes, he did. Your father trained you as well?"
He nodded again at what she said.

Emily sighed. She saw them really bonding. She wished one of them would confess already.

Eric did not notice Emily sighing. He was focused on Aela.
-"We are used to hiding out somewhere whenever we change. I am thinking we may have to do that when we camp."
Eric sighed.
-"I am not sure who or when. I can not say. Time will tell."

Aela smiled fond memories of him training her and her brother. “Yeah, my father started my training shortly after my brothers. He had us spar each other several times. My brother was gifted at magic along with the sword.”

Aela nodded about the twins hiding out. Maybe we can set up camp and within the radius the twins change and do their things?

At his comments about the mages underlings she didn’t like that answer. But her memories continued to flow in her mind for a brief moment.

At the mention of her brother Aela looked at the earth. “You said this trip would be...long. How long will this trip be approximately?”

Eric nodded.
-"I feel guilty about you leaving your family behind like this."
He frowned.

Emily sighed and nodded. She blinked at the question.
"We....can not say. The book we found that in only gave a general location, saying it would appear to US rather than the other way around."

Both Eric and Emily looked at her. Eric spoke.
-"Hopefully we find that place soon."

Emily nodded.
"Yes. What Eric said."

Aela remained silent thoughts were creeping in that she might loose her brother if the trip took a long time. She hadn’t considered it a possibility. It’s going to be alright...no matter what happens I’m going to be okay.

“It was my choice to leave, besides if I didn’t go Adian would have died anyway. This is my one chance to save him.”

“Appear to you? Then where is our destination? If we are traveling on the road with no route or destination we could be wandering in circles.

Eric and Emily both frowned and sighed. They both nodded.
"If you say so."
-"....I understand."
They still felt bad though. They both began to wish that there was another way. They wanted her brother to be ok, but they also wanted her to be happy.

Eric blinked when she spoke of running around in circles and such. He sighed and shook his head.
-"No. We will not. It gave landmarks, but things that would mean nothing to those with no magic."
He reached into a bag at his side. He pulled out the book in question.

Emily blinked in surprise.
"You actually brought that book with you, Eric?"

Eric nodded.
"Of course."
He handed it over to Aela.
"Here."

Aela stopped as she was surprised that he was letting her see the book. This must be a magical item of some sort...my first time laying eyes on something like this. Will the contents change? She handled the book with care as she opened it and began reading.

-"You're welcome."
Eric nodded. He blinked when Aela questioned if it was a magical item. He shook his head no.
-"We think it is some kind of record book, locations and history and the like. Our parents claimed it may just be fiction, but we do not think so. This book told us what he told you."

Emily nodded.
"Yes. We were searching for information on our to break our curse when we found it."

Eric and Emily both sighed after that.

Aela was excited then noticed that Eric read her mind this time instead of Emily. "Okay that is weird. Is that a chosen one thing? Anyway if this book talks of magic kingdoms of the unseen world I think it would be some type of magic item. Let's find out."

Aela smiled and decided to check it out to see if it was. She concentrated on putting the slightest bit of mana in her finger tips as she read. Her fingers began glowing with a white blue hue, they didn't produce a flame or spark.

Aela glanced at the book and began to see if it made any difference.

Emily blinked. She shrugged. Eric shrugged as well.
-"We assumed that was what you were thinking, something along those lines anyway."

Emily nodded.
"What my brother said."

They glanced at each other then looked at Aela again. They frowned, at first, when they saw what she was doing. They gasped when it seemed like the flame was not able to make contact with it, like a gentle breeze was blowing it away slightly. Eric and Emily both looked confused by that.

Aela blinked confused at the comments from the twins about reading her mind. What stumped her even more was the fact that the book knew just from her pure mana flowing to her fingertips that she was a flame wielder and it took measures to protect itself.

"Well there is a detection spell and a strong protection spell. If someone with magic is holding the book it seems to read you as you read it's contents. Very fascinating."

Aela deactivated her mana and handed the book back carefully.

Aela blinked confused at the comments from the twins about reading her mind. What stumped her even more was the fact that the book knew just from her pure mana flowing to her fingertips that she was a flame wielder and it took measures to protect itself.

Emily blinked and held the book in her hands.
"It looked like a small breeze was keeping the flame from touching it."

Eric nodded.
-"Yeah, it was strange."
He took the book from Emily. He put it back in his bag. He glanced around. He took a breath. He tried to change the subject.
-"Anyway, I think it said something about crystal bright roses guiding the first path. I was not sure what that meant. I just know it has to do with flowers."
He shrugged.

Emily sighed. She looked at aela.

Aela shook her head
“But I didn’t summon a flame. Only mana to my finger tips. It’s a basic demonstration before a spell can come to life.”

“Bright roses could be symbolic or literal. Judging from the book seems to be more of a literal thing.“

Emily and Eric both looked confused. Emily frowned. Eric raised an eyebrow.
"ok..."
-"um....ok...."
They glanced at each other for a moment before they looked at her again.

Eric shrugged.
-"I suppose they could be literal. But, I never heard of such flowers. I doubt such things could exist."

Emily nodded.
"What do you think, Aela?"

Aela thought for a few moments as she walked along a path. "If those with magic are the only ones who can find the path then lets see if magic can lead the way. Wild flowers are native along this trail. Maybe if magic rolls over the hills the flowers will show themselves? Either setting off a beautiful light or flowers of pure mana will appear."
Aela concentrated this time summoning a white flame she winced at the effort. White was never my strong suit... The white flame lowered over the plants and to her companions surprise didn't burn them. Instead it perked up wilting flowers and revived dead ones.

Eric nodded. Emily nodded as well. They both followed her and walked along.
"..if you say so."
-"What Emily said."

They went silent for a while as Aela did what she did. It took a while, in their opinion. Anyway, Emily took a step by some old rose bushes. She gasped when she saw a faint light amongst the grass.

"Come quick! Take a look at this."

Eric raised an eyebrow and walked over.
-"What is it?"

"I...am not sure."
