Appearance: With his 1,88 meters and 81 kilograms, Andy is tall, but has an average ectomorph body shape. His dark-blond hair almost reaches his shoulders and he usually keeps it tied together in a loose ponytail. His eyes are grey-blue and he has no distinctive features in his shaved face.
He often dresses in t-shirts and jeans, the t-shirts often have a funny image or text on them.

Personality: If you take his word for it, Andy is the best doctor and the most handsome man that ever lived. While he knows all that is not true, he will still take any opportunity to remind people around him how awesome he really is.
While Andy can be serious when he wants to be or when needs to be, he likes to exaggerate and boast, even when the boast is obviously misplaced or when he knows it annoys those around him. Some say he does it on purpose to annoy those he doesn’t like, but he never admitted that.
Andy has a curious nature and is methodical in his research. It’s one of the few things he takes seriously in life.
He is outspoken; he will speak up and share his opinion, whether that was requested or not. When he disagrees with something it will be known, even when the person he disagrees with is of higher rank or status.

Strengths: An optimistic attitude, life experience from many cases he has seen in his career as doctor, patience, determination, his awesome crossword puzzle skills (he can do 5 stars difficulty!)

Weaknesses: a general low blood pressure and prone to hypoglycemia after exercise due to a relative fast digestion system. This combination can cause dizziness, fatigue and in the worse case fainting after physical exercise. Another weakness if that he can’t turn down a plead for help, especially coming from a mother seeing her child in need.

Skills: besides the medical skills and obviously first-aid, he has general survival skills and a private pilot certificate.

History: After medical school, Andy specialised in emergency care and has worked at the emergency department when the virus broke out. Having battled the virus at the front line, the vaccine seemed hopeful. He had followed all the research done, the testing, and like all other doctors he believed it would work. Much to his dismay it turned people into zombies. Now he had to battle the virus and deal with victims of zombies, but that was a losing battle.
His family soon left for the rumoured safe place Greenhaven, but Andy remained in the city for as long as there were humans that could need help. It wasn't until the city only had zombies in it, he packed his things and started travelling north, to Greenhaven.

Name: Mae Hawthorn
Nickname: Em, or just Mae
Occupation: Wildlife biologist
Age: 27

Appearance: With her 1,60 meters, Mae is on the short side. She has a pear shaped body. Small shoulders, but a bit curvy. She has a round face. With a small nose and a dimple in her chin. And with grey, friendly eyes.
She often wears her ash blonde hair up in a simple bun. If not, her wavy hair is loosely hanging right below her shoulders. She usually wears minimal make-up, but with the zombie apocalypse she has other things on her mind.

Personality: Sarcasm is her middle name, she pretends she’s all funny and bad ass, but in reality she’s just insecure and most likely scared shitless. When Mae ends up in dangerous situations, her insecurity will show.
Depending on her stress level, she may have a short temper and lash out to people. Mae is however the kind of person to apologize afterwards. She’s usually in conflict with herself, wanting people to like her, but also telling herself that she shouldn’t care what other people think of her.
She’s an introvert, hates loud noises and bright lights. Mae is not a morning person at all. And even though she wants to stand up for herself, she might not always do that. She will however stand up for people who need help or someone to have their back.

Strengths: She knows about nature and animals. She’s always been a lover of nature, so it wouldn’t be too difficult for her to survive in nature. She’s a good listener and observer. If you get to know Mae better, she’s actually a pretty good friend too. Next to that, she’s creative and an overall calm person. She’s not afraid to get her hands dirty.

Weaknesses: Mae may easily slip into a depression. And she can be pretty negative at times. Her glass is always half empty. Despite the fact that she’s a wildlife biologist, and she’s used to observing animals, she’s impatient.

Skills: She has good observation and outdoor skills. She can also handle a gun, as Mae used to hang around on the shooting range in her free time.

History: Mae always knew she wanted to become a wildlife biologist, so after getting her Wildlife Biology Ph.D., she eventually founded a job at the local Fish and Wildlife Service. Observing and researching animals.
During the outbreak, she was asked to observe the behaviour in animals, such as monkeys. When monkeys were used to test out several vaccines. When the facility was overrun with zombies, Mae disappeared. She hid out in a few abounded buildings, but eventually head North, following the rumours.

After the breakout she tried to find and contact her family, but she never heard from them again. Before the breakout she divorced her husband of 3 years.
