Welcome Pokemon Ranger!
You and your Pokemon have been accepted into the ranks of one of the finest Rangers divisions we have, the Korrano "Snow Ryders" Rangers. This is your first step on a grand adventure filled with opportunity and experiences! You will be tried and tested in the harsh conditions far away from home but know that we only took the best and you are it!
A personal escort will arrive within a few days to take you to Havensport, Korrano's own capital city. From there, you'll be briefed and have a chance to meet some of your fellow Rangers. Inside this packet I have included several items that may interest you and will give you a brief overlay of what to expect from this relatively new region. Please take the time to fill out the Ranger Transfer Inquiry forms and mail them back. These are to insure that our information on you is current and to provide your fellow Rangers a brief overview of their new collages. Thank you and welcome to the team![/center]
Signed,
C.K. Warren,
Executive Ranger
—What is a "Snow Ryder"?
The nickname "Snow Ryder" dates back to the very settlers of Korrano, specifically one of the families that first settled the region, the Ryders. The Ryder family at the time was in charge with the security of the community and with the assistance of their Pokemon, they managed to protect the community. Pokemon and humanity in unison, just like what us Rangers ascribe to. As time passed, the Ryders became more and more comfortable with Pokemon and eventually they began breeding them. Today, the Ryder family has one of the largest ranches in the world and revered for having the best Ice Pokemon. Even though most of the family works the ranch, they still maintain a strong presence in the Korrano Ranger division. Thus, the Ranger division in Korrano has proudly taken up the nickname "Snow Ryder" in reverence to this esteemed family.
In concordance with our traditions and their's, you and your fellow Rangers will maintain the healthy relationship between Pokemon and humanity. You will intervene on behalf of both parties and are expected to make the best decision possible. You are tough, maybe even the toughest, Rangers we have and nothing less is expected of you. Good luck and make us proud!

—Sights to see?
While Korrano is most famous for it's bitterly cold winters, it enjoys cool, refreshing Summers and Springs. The town of Havensport houses the regions capital as well as your division headquarters. It is a vast metropolis and provides all the amenities you'd expect. It offers a great retreat with its lavish hotels and casinos. The second largest city is Marston City. This boomtown practically grew overnight offering one of the only escapes from on Korrano's inferior island. The twin towns of Sraxion and Jraxion offer sea-faring services to cross between Korrano's Superior and Inferior Islands. Windleaf, Miracle City, and Hearth City are smaller settlements but can accommodate the tired Ranger. Skyreach is the last settlement and the mixture between magma and ice makes this place very attractive for the off-duty Ranger. The hot springs are said to hvae mystical healing powers. There are also a number of researcher camps set up across the region. A map has been provided.
—What about Pokemon?
The cool climates of Korrano offers a haven for Ice Pokemon and they hold the vast majority of the population. Dragon Pokemon call the mountains around Skyreach Volcano home as well as, a large number of Fire Pokemon who hang close to the volcano and the magma fields close by. Articuno, the legendary Bird, occasionally roosts in the mountains. He is not to be bothered by Rangers, however. Meanwhile a vast number of Water Pokemon hug the shallow shores around Ranger's Cape due to the isolation and the abundance of food. Finally in the Southern, greener parts, most types of Pokemon are found. While most Pokemon are known and documented, Researchers and even Rangers are still discovering new types. Keep an eye out for new Pokemon!
It is important to note the climate when you are considering your Pokemon. Grass and Bug Pokemon may find the Southern parts of Korrano comfortable but in the Northern parts, they'll find it hard to adapt and will likely not be much of an assistance. Ice Pokemon will thrive but Fire Pokemon will provide a hot edge in the cold climates. Please keep that in mind when considering your Pokemon for this trip.
