The night was cold, and crisp in the Colorado mountains. There wasn't a cloud in the sky, but the thick trees made the stars barely visible. The small and friendly town of Brooksfield sat right in the middle. The town had the essentials. It had electricity, a grocery store, a sheriff's department, a bar, and cabins where the citizens live. There was only one road that let people enter and leave the town. The streets were completely deserted, the only lights coming from lamp posts, or windows of the late nighters watching the last of their shows, or reading. The sounds of nature filled the night... and the sound of glass breaking.

Harry's Storage, the local grocery store, seemed normal, except that the window was shattered. In the pitch darkness were sounds of gnawing, and grunts of relief and pleasure. Deep in the darkness was a man in the meat aisle, empty trays of what used to hold raw meat, and in the corner was the figure of a young man wearing a flannel, and jeans, feasting on the meat. The creature laughed a bit, loving the taste of the blood and raw steak, but then stopped, then snapping his head to see behind him.

Standing at the end of the aisle was a tall, strong shouldered man wearing a leather trench coat, boots, jeans, and an old cowboy hat. In his hand was an axe, "Evenin', sir.... I believe the sign said that this place is closed for tonight.... and you have to pay before eating the merchandise." The man in the hat said, completely calm. The other man's face was covered in blood, with dark pits for eyes, and his response was a soul shivering screech, his whole face turning white, long, and fangs that would cut diamonds. He then inhaled and snarled. "You reek of the death of my kind.... You must be a Ford..." The used-to-be man said.

The man known as Benjamin Ford gave a nod. "You can either come quietly, or we can settle this the not so easy way." Benjamin Ford said simply, staring down the creature. The vampire laughed. "You are old... Almost near the age of your curse. I am stronger, faster, and immortal! You cannot defeat me!" It laughed. This man was clearly a new comer. The vampire leaped up and charged at Ben faster than a person could blink, but Ben just as quickly side stepped, and moved his axe, a large howl came from the creature of darkness as he crashed in to an aisle the monster was clearly shocked, touching the spot where thick, black blood came out of a large cut across its chest. It screeched again, and charged.

Benjamin was expecting that. He pulled a small object out of his pocket, and struck it against a shelf. The object was a flare that when struck against any dry surface, produced a blinding light, much brighter than the sun itself. Ben looked away, closing his eyes. The vampire screamed in agony, crashing in to another aisle, clawing at its eyes. The light soon died out, and Ben walked over to the body that was still screaming in pain. The vampire looked up at Ben with the little sight he had, with a face of complete terror. Benjamin raised his axe, and the vampire screamed one last time.
"Take the body out near the cemetery, and tell Harry that a mountain lion wandered in, hungry from all the hunters taking their prey." Benjamin said to a fellow Protector, the town's vampire hunters. The origin of their town became more of a legend, fiction more than fact... And it was best that the people didn't know the truth. "Yes, Sheriff." The woman said, walking off with two others. The red and blue lights shone. Benjamin Ford wasn't only the leader of the Protectors, but also the County's Sheriff.

Jason Hunt walked up to Ben, staring at the scene. "Sorry I'm late... How bad's the damage?" Jason asked, putting his hand in his deputy coat pockets, shivering a bit from the cold. "ah, a few cartons of meat, bent aisle shelves, and crushed goods, nothing too serious... I'll stop by and give him some money tomorrow.... and you can ask if you can help clean up tomorrow." Ford said with a smile, and Jason sighed. "You got it, Sheriff... You should get some sleep. You look exhausted. We can take it from here" Ben was about to protest, but Jason held up his hand. "You have first shift tomorrow morning anyway. Plus you're supposed to meet Constance tomorrow for breakfast. You two haven't spent time with each other for a while."

Benjamin sighed. He loved his daughter more than anything. Ever since she decided to stay with him when her mother left, he made sure that nothing bad would ever happen to her... but her being a Ford Ben has always had a feeling she's been up to something. "I'll make sure everything is going in order first, then I'll head home..." Ford said, patting Jason on the back.

With Johann Sebastian Bach's Air on the G String playing softly and eloquently in the background through her BOSE iPod speaker dock, the red-haired woman sighed deeply peeling back the curtains draped over her living room window with one hand and glancing outward into the thick obsidian shadows of another cold and lonesome night in the wilds of Colorado, a night where most women of her age...well..most "human" women...would be flocking to the local bar, most usually dressed in a provocative manner, tops cut enough to show more than a generous portion of cleavage and skirts so short....Rebecca could barely consider them skirts. Yes, a night such as this would be so full of debauchery, of drinking and running wild for that last youthful fling before old age sets in, but the more refined woman decided this night...she would rather stay home and continue work on her latest manuscript. After all in this business, creativity and monotonous hours spent at a computer or a notebook were her bread and butter so to speak. A chalice of imported Italian Pinot Grigio was carefully held between her dainty fingers, gently rose to her subtle lips for a sip. Sweet was the wine, but not overbearing to spoil the pallet, and just enough of a bite at the end to satisfy the woman's taste. Releasing the satin drapery from her frail hand, the dhamphir moved to her study, where upon an oak-wood desk sat her laptop and a few scraps of paper pulled from a journal, scribblings here and there of her next plot, the screen hazing white within the dimness of the small room, and bookshelves wall to wall containing masterpieces of written text from nearly every inch of the globe, Shakespeare's classics, the spine tingling but intriguing works of H.P. Lovecraft and Edgar Allan Poe, and much..much more that comprised her literary collection.

Hmm...now where did I put that? Setting down her wine at the desk, her hand went to the far right of a shelf as she pondered where she last left off in one of her many reading choices. Just the night before, she had completed her read-through of "Shadow Over Insmouth" and had begun what would be her fifth book for another night alone in her secluded cottage, a classic of Greek drama, Sophocles' "Antigone," but as her fingers skimmed over the thick leather spines, aged with the passing of time from its original date of composition, she soon paused, not upon "Antigone". No....this was another piece of old literature, published in 1872 and written by Sheridan Le Fanu. Carmilla... Rebecca recited the title to herself in silence. A great read it was, but...the subject matter was a bit of a sting for her, same could be said for the work of Bram Stoker. "Hmph....despite only being half, I still can't help but feel a bit....offended." She mused to herself, her hand again on the search for her preferred choice, but soon, she heard a commotion from outside. Even amidst the melody of Bach, the rancorous wail of police sirens rang clear through her living room and into the study, where upon the noise had caught Rebecca's ear and pulled her back to the window.

It was a most familiar of sights that welcomed her hauntingly as flashes of reds and blues skimmed across her front yard and illuminated the blackness surrounding her flower garden and her vehicle left in the driveway. There had been another attack...another reason for the woman...to worry. Damn them.... Thanks to these assholes, it won't be long before they have a lynch mob coming after me. But only if they discovered her half-blooded heritage. Still, with the increasing threat of vampirism lurking about Brooksfield...it would only be a matter of time before thoughts of racism and genocide set in. Giving another bothersome exhale of air, Rebecca released the curtains again. Now...where exactly did she set "Antigone"?

Bending over a microscope for hours on end would tire anyone out, but not Naomi. If her vision didn't turn blurry, she would've been content looking at cells under a microscope for days, forgetting all her basic necessities in the process. Even now, she could feel her stomach rumbling and her bloodshot eyes screaming in protest, her brain begging her to rest for a bit, but Naomi persevered. How could she rest when she still hadn't found the answer to her questions? How could she rest knowing that her father's murderer was still out there, feasting on another unsuspecting human?

Finding the cure to vampirisim had become Naomi's obsession, only second to taking revenge on the vampire that killed her father. There was a time when she tried to run away from vampires, but now they were all she thought about. During the night, she would be out hunting for them, while during the day she would work on reversing their curse. She couldn't remember the last time she had slept.

When her eyes filled with moisture for the fifth time in protest, Naomi finally looked away from her microscope, closing her eyes to let them rest for a bit. She could feel herself drifting off and jerked awake immediately, glancing towards the clock on the wall. It was late. Perfect timing for hunting.

Shrugging off her white lab coat, she looked around the room to find her crossbow. She had turned her parents' basement into her personal lab, and being a messy worker, it looked like a whirlwind had passed through the room - papers littered everywhere, test-tubes in every nook and cranny, and the pungent smell of various chemicals hung in the air. Her mother had only come down to the basement once since Naomi had moved here and had never dared step her foot inside again.

Finally recovering her weapon from under a desk, Naomi made her way out of the house, careful not to make too much noise to wake her mother up. She attached her crossbow to her arm and shrugged on a loose full-sleeved jacket over herself to hide it. She knew there wouldn't be many people out at this hour, but precautions had to be taken in case she came upon a civilian. Explaining why she had a deadly weapon attached to her wrist would be quite difficult even with the town Sheriff on your side.

The crisp night air made her stay alert as Naomi walked down the streets of Brooksfield, wondering if she would have any encounters tonight.

J.D. raced through the back Colorado woods, wearing a thick leather jacket and helmet he didn't bother looking down at his speed as he rode his black and red GSX-R 1000 l through the mountain roads. For most people it was to cold to consider riding a bike, and while chilling he didn't feel all that cold. He never really did get to cold all that often as he leaned over, taking a corner his bike was at a 50 degree angle and his knee was almost scrapping the pavement as he made that wide turn. He looked down once he was out of the turn shifting down and hitting the throttle as his RPMs shot up and so did his speed, he finally looked down for a minute, 205 it read as he up shifted as the sound of that bike echoed through the mountains gaining speed and he looked down 218 this time as he smiled. He loved that new power commander he got, as he was a quick streak of tail lights to any by standers. He had to move over into the oncoming lane and lean hard for the next turn slowing down a bit to make it before sown shifting and hitting the throttle as he came out of it.

He loved these late night rides, the windy roads of the mountains always giving him a rush as he loved the wind blowing through his hair. He smiled passing houses and as soon he was in the town as he sped through the streets, though he started to slow down before leaning hard into a turn looking over he flew past Naomi's house as even at those speeds he spotted her as he brought and arm down waving before hitting the break and turning down in a corner as blue and red lights drove past the street up a head. He slowed down now as he turned down and road through the town before pulling up on the side walk in front of the grocery store window as he stopped his bike and flipped his kick stand down looking at the windows. He raised his visor and got off his bike before pulling his helmet off and setting it on the seat. He rested his hand on the hilt of his silver sword on his belt walking in through a window.

He looked as the body was being rolled out before spotting Ford and Hunt talking and he walked up to the pair. "You haven't keeled over yet old man?" he said to ford joking with him as he normally did. He joined the two looking around "The nights already starting off exciting I see...I just left Weston's farm, two of them were sneaking about but attacked as soon as I approached. They seemed new, and not from here considering they thought just cause I'm human I would make a nice me"

As she skimmed through the pages of her book, eyeing the printed text with intrigue, the half-vampire woman sighed and reclined with a stifled yawn across her leather sofa, a hand softly reaching to rub the back of her neck, once tight and tense with some form of apprehension after witnessing those few law enforcement vehicles pass her house with sirens blazing and alight with emergency signals here and there, but slowly the muscles in her neck loosened from their fearful stiffness and relaxed, just as every other muscle in the woman's body was following suit and another yawn, this one deeper, escaped her lips. Her eyes were growing heavy by the minute, and she was finding it quite difficult to even focus on her reading, rather choosing now to shut the book gently and set it aside on her coffee table. "I'll continue it tomorrow..." She mused sleepily as midnight's fatigue now set upon her. With such eyes burdened by the encroaching hour of sleep, she looked to the grandfather clock of her living room. 2:36 it said, 2:36 AM. "My....how late it is." For as much as Rebecca stayed awake all through the dark and lonely hours of this cold, dreary night, she would've assumed she was already a full-blooded vampire. "I should be getting to bed soon...perhaps I'll go into town tomorrow for a spot of breakfast and a nice cup of coffee." Gradually standing to her feet from the comfy and inviting sofa, the woman slowly ambled her way to her bedroom.

Already her hands were to the buttons of her white blouse, fingering them and unfastening the buttons from their holds, letting the silky smooth fabric slip from her arms and carelessly onto her bedroom floor, along with her black pencil skirt she shirked from her beautifully curved legs, same for her sheer pantyhose she gradually slipped off before she was just left in her underwear, later donning her night attire, a burgundy red silk negligee with thin, loose spaghetti straps haphazardly slipping about her slender shoulders as she peeled back the covers of her bed and slipped underneath the layers of cotton and wool, already her body tingling pleasantly at the warmth of her much awaited bed. A mix of a sigh and a yawn permeated her lips yet again, showing her satisfaction at this comfort with her head nestled into her pillow and her eyes gently closing....but tonight....was not the peaceful night she would assume of it. For suddenly-

*CRASH!!!!*

She darted upwards immediately with a deep gasp of fright at the abrupt and startling noise, her hand violently clasping over her rapidly undulating heart in her chest. W-what was that? It sounded as if the commotion had come from her living room. Trembling, practically shivering with absolute dread, she wondered if it were the window, the large bay window in her living room. Something must've been thrown through it, a rock maybe or...someone's broken into her home... A harsh gulp of air inwards to her quivering lungs, the woman rose hesitantly from her bed, pulling open the drawer on her nightstand and grabbing the small 9mm pistol she kept there...for reasons such as this. Her hands fumbled a bit as she tried to regain composure over them, loading in a full magazine to the gun and pulling back the slide, already following procedures that were taught during the Concealed Handgun Class she had taken earlier in the year. With no one else to come to her aid here....why couldn't Rebecca just protect herself. M-maybe I...I won't have to shoot anyone. Her mind raced as she held the pistol within her shaking fingers, having to grasp it tight against her perspiring palms. Maybe...they've already gone away....I'll just have to file a home invasion...and a theft. She hoped to God above...if God even still loved a damned soul such as she...that whoever was in her house...they were long gone with whatever they came to pillage from her humble abode...

Quietly as the timid mouse she was in this most harrowing of situations, she crept down the hallway, the Glock in her clutches pointed straight ahead of her as she rounded the corner and tiptoed into the living room. "H-hello?" She whispered. Rasp was her voice as her whole body trembled, nerves frazzled with such ill dread racking them ever so. "I...I-I have a gun...so...you best leave now before I..." And how weak her threats were to her unknown assailants. She was even unable to deliver them with a thick voice of authority, but...she was a civilian in distress, she was no cop. Apprehensive of her surroundings, her eyes scanned back and forth the vacant living room. Everything seemed fine...at first... For as she skimmed over to the window, her assumptions were dead right. "Oh...oh my God...." The bay window was shattered, completely in shards upon the hardwood floor below, nothing left but the round, elliptical frame that once housed the ornately frosted glass. Terror, absolute horror jolted through her spine and all through her nerve endings. Hastily she glanced straight to the floor, at least in search of what destroyed her living room window, but there was nothing...no rocks...no other objects resting amongst the shimmering crystals of broken glass. Now she was certain with fear someone has broken into her home, and....she didn't have the strength in her to confront them.

Setting down her gun, she instantly crossed the living room to the end table next to her couch, quickly snatching up her cellphone with her fingers to those three numbered buttons. "Hello, I need the police. I...I've had a break in. Can you...can you please send someone quickly. I...I think they're still...here....."

Benjamin was watching the officers clear out the grocery store, a cleanup crew going in to take out the black blood that the vampire produced. Every Protector was a part of the police department here, only because their group worked as much. They didn't go off on their own killing, and hunting. They all had shifts, but of course if there were some accident they were put on the clock... And as for their duties, Ben made it very clear that vampires were to have a chance whether to give in, or die. He heard the loud roar of a motorcycle engine, knowing exactly who that was... And it was confirmed when he saw Jase Dean walk up to Jason and him. He gave a small laugh at his comment on his old age. Both Jason and Jase were like sons to him. When their parents died it was hard for him. They were both great friends, but sadly, the cost of being a protector was very high... Ben took them and taught them the last of the things they needed to know. "I'm still kicking... although its ten hours past my bedtime and they haven't given me my prune juice yet." Ben said sarcastically, giving a smile. As he talked about his encounter at the field he nodded. "No animals harmed at the farm?"

Jason was lured away by a deputy near a police car. He walked over. "What's up?" Jason asked, putting his hands in his pockets. "We got a call just now. Something broke in to a woman's house... From what she's said something broke in making a loud noise, but cannot see the perpetrator..." Jason nodded. "Probably an unpleasant visitor..." Jason said. "Whats the address?" The man gave it, and he walked back to Ben and Jase. "We got a break in. The woman can't see the intruder... And before you go, remember you're off the clock. I'll go check it out." He said with a smile. "I'll see you guys later." Jason said, walking back to the police car. "I'm on my way, you can tell her that..." He said, feeling the silver tomahawk in his jacket. Jason felt a little nervous, he never actually went alone for a vampire related case before. He usually had Jase or Ben or Naomi with him. As he made his way to the house he checked his pockets for the flares, his weapon, and a wooden stake just in case. When he made it to the house he saw the whole front of the house gone. Jason gave a small whistle. "wow..." He said quietly, stepping through the large hole. He saw a woman cowering in fear near a table. Jason put a finger up to his lips, and revealed a badge to show that he was here to help.

J.D smiled and laughed a bit some as he looked around the store speaking "naa, I was just on my way out and as I was getting near the edge of his property I spotted them lurking around, I shouted, they attacked. I already called it in from the radio in my bike." He wasn't going to really mention what he was doing there that late, or why he had his bike parked so far away so he wouldn't hear him starting it up, such details weren't required. As he looked around he walked up to the vampire's blood on the floor and ran his finger through the blood and sniffed it, That scent of coagulated blood filled his nose as he cringed some "This a new one as well? Man those forest boys been busy it seems." standing up he wiped the blood off with a rag he kept in his back pocket. Some how he already knew the answer to that question. His instincts were always good. He would probably make a good detective in the city if he had the desire for such things. As it stands though the only reason he is on the police force is because he's a protector.

As he was there he over heard Jason talking to the officer, just able to make out what they are saying as his friend soon showed up, telling them about the break in. He smiled and looked over to Ben as Jason drove off "I'll give him some back up" he stated turning and walking back towards his bike before turning and walking backwards "and before you say anything, When have you ever known me to do as I'm told? Hmm" He smiled lifting up his hand in a wave "later old man, try not to break a hip getting in your car" he said pulling his helmet over his head and turning his bike back on. Soon pulling up to the curb and dropping back down into the street and racing off through the streets.

He slowed his bike down before he even got to the house, killing the engine as he used his momentum to carry him the rest of the way, that bike silently rolling along before it came to a stop near by Jasons squad car. He got off his bike, put his helmet down and put his keys in his pocket as unzipped his coat and pulled out one of his M1911s from his shoulder harness and kept low, seeing Jason walking in he moved forward as well, though staying a bit back as he moved around the back of the house to approach from the opposite side. He looked in through the window, seeing Jason he pulled up his hand and signaled that he was going to go around and meet with him. Soon he was at the other side of the house, slowly he opened the door checking inside the dimly lit room as his eyes sight started to adjust to the dark.

After the dispatcher told her police would be on their way soon, Rebecca said her thanks timidly and hung up the phone, going back to her bedroom and setting her gun back in the nightstand drawer, also throwing on hastily a silk robe to cover her negligee and at least make herself a bit more decent for when the police did arrive. It seemed almost hours as she patiently yet fearfully awaited them standing beside the living room coffee table and eyeing still with such apprehensive glances the pile of glass upon the floor and the gaping hole that was once her bay window. What still bewildered Rebecca most was how the window was shattered, and yet....nothing could be found that would or did shatter it. Try as she may searching again, she still couldn't come up with anything, no stone, no brick, nothing. Of course that only meant the worst to the half-vampire. That meant someone had bashed it open. What other easier way was there to break into the woman's home, other than kick the front door off its hinges, and highly the red haired woman doubted anyone could accomplish such a feat as that, especially in one fell swoop. No, it would've taken maybe two or three good thwacks of the foot against the hardwood and the steel deadbolt before it gave, opening all access to Rebecca's home, her belongings, and more terribly....herself.....she feared greatly the day an unruly mob or even just one lowly vampire killer...came for her life.....just for being one of them, even if she was only half-blood.

Finally, a sigh of relief she gave once she witnessed through the wide chasm in her living room wall a police cruiser pull into her driveway, along with a motorcycle. How nice of them to send two officers rather than one. While one drew his gun and moved around to Rebecca's backyard for further surveillance, the other cautiously approached her, showing his badge of affiliation with the local law enforcement. Even in the dim light of her home, Rebecca could sort of make out the man's features, and needless to say, he was kind of...charming, even if she was more drawn to women, she still could tell when a man was indeed attractive. And at least seeing that charming face calmed the flustered woman down a little bit....that is until she noticed sort of a small gleam of light from his jacket. Silver? Oh God...he's one of them. Pray to God above he didn't notice any peculiarities of her, not that she had any too apparent. Maybe her teeth were a little pointier than the average human, maybe her skin was just a tad bit more pale than usual, but she could denote that to being a home-body and not getting much sun- wait...no....that would only make it worse sense her kind supposedly treated the sun as poison to them. A gulp inward, she carefully approached the officer, her hands clasped hesitantly against her chest. "T-thank you for coming on such short notice. I..I don't know what's happened exactly, but I'm pretty sure it was a break in. I haven't been able to check if anything's been stolen yet, and well....I just have this feeling someone's still in the house, but I'm too scared to see for myself. Please be careful."

Jason saw in the back Jase had followed him, he hoped he wouldn't need the backup, but it comforted him a bit to see him having his back. He gave a nod to him as he read his signals, then turned to see the woman, clearly frightened at what just occurred, but Jason couldn't help but see that she was rather attractive. As she spoke she trembled, he couldn't blame her, but after doing this for so long, and living at a bar where a ton of scary things happened, he seemed to be calmer than he should. He gently put a hand on her shoulder for reassurance. "Everything will be alright, Miss." Jason said very quietly. "A mountain lion came in earlier tonight and raided the grocery store, he might have had a friend... Just stay as quiet as you can, and slip out and wait outside near my car while my friend and i check this place out..." Jason said in the same quiet tone, but tried his best to sound calm, and assuring.

He pulled out his tomahawk, and in the other hand held a flare just in case. He quietly made it in to the room that Jase was in, giving him a nod in the direction of the door on the other side of the room. It was nerve raking, being completely quiet, not knowing who or what is is waiting for you. Jason walked through the doorway, but it was too late. In a flash of an eye Jason was thrown in to a wall, hitting his head, and losing the flare on the ground. Surprisingly he still had his weapon. In the hall was the body of a teenager in a black hoodie, jeans, and converse. His eyes were black, his nails and teeth long, he looked shaken up... as if he couldn't help but do this. Jason read that when their crave of blood was so strong, even the most tame break. "Jase!" Jason called out, quickly getting up in to the stance Ben and his father taught him years ago. He needed to get to that flare, close quarter combat with a vampire usually meant death for the protector.

J.D. Moved quietly opening the door slowly peering in to make sure it was all clear. Softly he stepped into the house as he looked around. He knew there was vampire here, it was like he could smell it, like the place reeked of it. Walking in a bit further the door across from him opened as he didn't raise his gun, he knew it was Jason as he returned the nod and turned towards the door raising his gun and pointing it at it. Covering his friend as he got he kept his gun raised as before he got to the door He knew who ever invaded was on the other side of that door "Jason watch out" though in the middle of his shout Jason was suddenly thrown back across the room as J.D. kept his gun trained on the teenager. Looking at him he got the feeling that it really was just a teenager, not just a very old vampire who looked like one. "Give your self up, and we won't harm you. You have my word" he said as he looked over to him.

J.D. knew he was about to attack before he did, he pulled the trigger right as he started charge, getting off two rounds before, his fast reflexes let him just narrowly avoid his attack as he moved to the fight, grabbing his left arm he pulled it around his back as his own left arm came up and he shoved the kids head against the table. Black blood dripped down his body as those silver bullets hit home, on in his right shoulder and another in gut. It would of been fatal for a normal person, but not for the vampire. "Calm down, your under arrest if you resist further we will kill you." he said as he held him pinned, though you could see him straining, it was taking all of his strength to hold him, and only because he had leverage was he able too. Though soon the vampire was overpowering him, slowly his arm pulled back down as J.D. fought to keep it in place, he growled before kicking the kids legs out and tossing him to the left as he hit the cupboards before falling to the ground. J.D. Put his left hand on his swords sheath, his right on the handle of that silver blade as he started stepping to the left a bit, hopefully so the vampire would turn to face him and put his back to his partner, as well as give him a bit more room to maneuver, well as much room as one could get.

Jason tried to get his head together, pulling out a shard of glass on him arm from knocking down a picture. To be fair, this was the least amount of damage. He heard J.D. try to talk to it. It gave him a sad look, as if it didn't want to do this... Then his rage kicked in again, giving a scream he started for J.D. Jason dove for the flare on the ground. It was a special flare that the protectors made many generations ago, all it had to do was be struck against any dry surface, and it would literally be brighter than the sun for a few seconds, destroying the vampires eye sight. Jason grabbed the flare, and ran it across the floor.

"J.D.! close your eyes!" Jason yelled before he rolled it in between him and the vampire. The whole house illuminated, and a huge scream came from the beast, falling to the ground in pain, trying to get away from them. Jason jumped on top of him, struggling to keep him down. "He's just hungry..." Jason said to J.D. "I know Ben will want to give this guy some sort of second chance... A lot of property damage, a scared shitless civilian... We'll take him down to the station, and leave him for the Boss to talk to." He gave one last surge of energy, but Jason took out his tomahawk, putting it to his neck. "And we gotta get this guy some sort of blood before he gets a bit too strong for us..." Jason panted, getting up with the help with J.D. watched the vampire.

As they both walked the teenager out, Jason saw the woman standing near her house. She looked tired, terrified, but still attractive... although the three of them probably looked like anything but that. "You got a name?"

"A-alex... Greene.... I d-didn't... I didn't mean to... I was just so hungry.... I didn't mean to..." The teenager said with sincerity... Although Jason wasn't a fan of vampires, he didn't want to kill every single one of them... some of his regulars at the bars are vampires, although they can't really get intoxicated, they like to talk, and to help the town out by spending. He gave a nod. "We're going to have to put you in a holding cell for a while... Until the Sheriff comes in for his shift tomorrow morning... then he'll discuss the penalties. Got it?" Jason asked him quietly as they stepped out of the house, towards the woman.

"We found the culprit... He is all sorts of drunk and high... and felt like he could do a little house looting." Jason said to her, holding the teenager, giving a look at Jase, then back at the woman. "Sheriff Ford is unavailable right now, but He'll be over first thing in the morn--" Jason was cut off by the sight of Benjamin Ford in his signature hat walking over to them. "Evening, Sheriff! I thought you were in bed?" Jason called out to him, giving him a look.

Ben shrugged. "Its been a long night, there was a loud noise, and my shopping channel is jewelry hour..." Ben said, always finding a way to make a joke. He looked at the house, then at the four of them. "This teenager burst through her house, drunk, high, and was looking for some... valuables..." Jason said to him. Ben nodded. "I'm so sorry, Miss Valentine..." Ben said. He knew everyone int he small town, he made sure that people felt comfortable going to him for help, and as a friendly face. "Is there a place you can stay for the night until we can fix up your window?" He asked her.

"The bar has some open rooms for travelers... They aren't the best to be honest, but they're safe, warm, and come with complimentary breakfast..." Jason said with a small smile.
