"Yeah, it does sound interesting," Liam replied. He noticed a pillar of light with more light swirling around it off to the west. His map said that it was in a section of the Wild Area labeled as the "Giant's Seat". "Hey, what's that pillar of light?" He asked pointing to it.

To Jen it sounds interesting, “it could be the den of Dynamax or something elsethat is a ,mystery.”

"Jen might be on to something," Shiranui corroborated, "I read in my guide something about a Max Raid Battle where four trainers defeat a Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon in battle and then take turns to try and capture it."

"I want to go check it out," Liam said. "We still have some time before we have to be at the Motostoke Gym for the opening ceremonies."

"Alright." Chuck said, walking up beside him. "Maybe we'll get a chance to use these bands."

“Sounds cool, do we need to get a Dynamax band?” Jen ask as she and Aura is excited about the Raid Battles.

Selina listained to the group as they discuss dynamax battles before saying "If you do wish to tackle it, let me give you some advice.
Only one of you will be able to dynamax during the max raid battle and like a normal Dynamax battle, you only have three turns of it.
Your opponent will be in Dynamax form, in total you only have about 10 turns in battle before you are blasted out the den but if 4 pokemon get knocked out, you will also be blown out of the den.
I'm not completely sure about these next two points, but, all pokemon from the den often have up to about 3 or more IV's and only one of you will be able to capture this pokemon but you should get some data though your Rotom Phones about the pokemon your about to face so you can decide among you who gets said pokemon"

"I like a challenge," replied Shiranui, on board with participating in a Max Raid Battle.

Jen and her Pokémon is up for a challenge.

"Does not having the band present a problem, other than not being able to Dyna-" Liam stopped when he heard something from up above. A Delibird flew down and handed Liam a package and took off again.
"I thought Delibirds weren't native to Galar," Liam said before turning his attention to the package. There was an attached note from Prof. Magnolia saying that she had some help and got the bands ready quicker than she expected too. Liam read the note aloud before opening the package and distributing the Dynamax Bands.

"That was quick," commented Shiranui, receiving his Dynamax Band, "According to the Pokédex, Delibird are not only native to Galar they're found in quite a few locations around the northern half and the Crown Tundra."

Chuck strapped his band on and headed for the Max Raid den.

Jen puts the Dynamax band on her wrist as she looks at it. She listen to Shitanui to her anyone could bring a Coffee Delibird from another region.

Liam also took off for the den after putting on the band and recalling Beckham to his ball.

Jen and Aura make their way to the den for the Max raid battle as they wonder what kind of Pokémon they be battling.

Once everyone was gathered, the raid activated and a huge silver creature that resembled a building emerged. Liam pulled out his Pokédex.

"Duraladon, Gigantamax Form. A Steel and Dragon-Type. It's grown to resemble a skyscraper. Parts of its towering body glow due to a profusion of energy. The hardness of its cells is exceptional, even among Steel types. It also has a body structure that's resistant to earthquakes."

"That means its only weakness is Fighting," Liam said thinking aloud. "I only have one Pokémon right now with a fighting move, so Smaug! It's time to shine!" Liam sent out his Charizard. "By the way guys, I hope you don't mind if I ask to be the one to get to catch this one."

"And I thought Christa was huge," Shiranui commented in awe, beholding the Gigantamaxed Duraludon. He strapped his Dynamax Band on his right wrist. "You can have this one, Liam," Shiranui accepted, "Saisei, I choose you!" He sent his Mewtwo out, thinking he would need a powerful Pokémon to defeat the titanic Duraludon.

"Alright, let's do this Omega!" Chuck said, sending out his Type: Null.

Jen has no problem Liam catching Duraiudon as she looks at Duraiudon. “I choose you Aura,” Jen said as her Lucario jumps on to the battle field.
