Jen watch Chuck go exploring on his own as Aura pick up the rewards that she earn and put them in Jen’s bag. Jen check out the TRs for steel and dragon, Jen is thinking they could take on another Max Raid Battle later on after a gym battle or after doing some training.

As Chuck walked around, looking around, he spotted what he thought was a Darumaka, but white instead. He checked his Pokedex, and found it was a Galarian Darumaka, which was Ice type instead of Fire. He sent out Omega to battle it and managed to weaken it enough to throw a ball at it. After a couple shakes, Darumaka was his, and he nicknamed it Frosty. It was then that he noticed a Mime Jr. watching him intently, eyes wide in wonder. Chuck walked over to it and asked "You liked that?" It nodded furiously as chuck looked around. He couldn't find any Mr. Mime around, and wondered why such a small child was all alone in such a cold place. "Where are your parents?" he asked. This caused the young Pokemon to tear up so Chuck picked him up and soothed him, giving him some treats. "Don't worry little guy, I'll take care of you." he said, holding out a Pokeball. The Mime Jr. face lit up as he tapped the button and was captured. Chuck decided to name the little guy Charlie.

Shiranui had received TRs 62 and 70 from the Max Raid Battle, discovering they taught Dragon Pulse and Flash Cannon respectively. He saw Chuck wander off on his own and hoped he would be alright. "Overconfidence can leave you blind to the element of surprise," he remembered as he saw Gileta the experimental Salazzle tail Chuck and felt relieved.
"That Duraludon went down like it was normal size," Saisei remarked after reverting to their normal form and returning to Shiranui.
"I guess Dynamaxed Pokémon are just as susceptible to damage like any other Pokémon," Shiranui speculated, keen to study up on the Dynamax phenomenon.

Liam checked the moves on his Duraladon and found that it didn't have the moves for those TRs. He used them on the Duraladon and used the vitamins for the appropriate stats.

Once Chuck had finished his exploration, he met up with the others once more. "This is a fascinating place." he said. "How the weather changes so drastically between areas.

Jen and Aura are glad Chuck came back to them safe and sound. She could tell the weather change more than the weather in the Alola Region.

Gileta returned to Serina side once Chuck was back with the group and Selina stroked her head before adding "Honestly, people have tried to work out the weird weather pattern here for years and the best conclusion was that it had to be something to do with the power spots and dynamax energy that resides here".

She then snap her fingers as she said "Oh, I almost forgot, you remember I did some spy work around Mary shop. Well, I discovered something pretty shocking and While on the phone to Grandad, he confirmed some stuff for me, here take a look at this video from the shop security feed".

Her Rotom phone came out her pocket and brought up a video of what looked like a hidden back room. A woman with Blonde hair who looked to closely resemble the Maribella they knew, walked into the room, but she seemed staggered, and parts of her blonde hair had faded, reviling Black hair and fumbled around before she touch what looked like a strange necklace made of many shells. She picked it up to stare at it before saying "This... I remember this". Suddenly she grab her head like a headache or a trance was wearing off, "No, stop it, I don't want to hurt her. I ... can't hurt my daughter". Suddenly a pair of red eyes open in the darkness as a pair of tentacles were breifly visable, a sudden static glitch happen and the next scene was off the woman covering her black hair with blonde dye. "Ready to comply, all glory to Nigal, the new ruler of the universe" the woman said before leaving the room before the same tentacles grabbed the necklace to destroy it which got a visable flinch from Serina. The video then ended with Serina saying "I don't think Nigal has the control he looks like he has, Grandpa also confirmed that Danvers is indeed a fake name, as is Maribella. Though he does believe someone stole the original files from the clsn"

"I'm starting to wonder if a Malamar owns those tentacles," speculated Shiranui, "People have recorded their mind control abilities being used for nefarious ends for quite a while now."

"I feel like you would be bored if you had an easy journey though a region" Selina teased Liam after shaking off her sadness about the necklace. "Malamars were my thought as well, one good thing I gleaned from this, is once we go to my home Village, I'm sure I can find sentiment items belonging to my sibling to help free them from the control, Zerina can then deal with the Malamars" She first said to Shinranui and then told the rest of the group.

"Its on the Isle of Armour, Master Mustard is my grandfather oldest friend and rival. But because of what happen earlier, Only those with two badges can gain access to the island right now, plus, I still need to buy you guys your armour pass to gain access via train. There's a powerful force around that island that prevent people flying to or teleporting to it, so its only accessible by train" Selina told Jen. "Plus there's a few traditions I would need to teach you guys, though Shinranui probably already knows most of them"

"Well, we can cross that bridge once we get two badges," Shiranui replied, assuming the force field around the Isle of Armour would block even his Hoopa's hyperspace portals.

"No use worrying over something we can't deal with yet. For now, let's just continue along to Motostoke. It wouldn't do for us to be too late to register and end up missing out on the entire challenge." Chuck said, making sure he had everything.
