Shiranui studied up on Milo. "It says here that Milo uses the Gossifleur evolution line in his gym battles," he stated after looking up a guide on the Gym Challenge, "Rotom, what's the data on the Gossifleur evolution line?"
"Gossifleur, the Flowering Pokémon. A Grass type. It whirls around in the wind while singing a joyous song. This delightful display has charmed many into raising this Pokémon," Shiranui's Rotom Phone stated, "Eldegoss, the Cottom Bloom Pokémon. A Grass type and the evolved form of Gossifleur. The cotton on the head of this Pokémon can be spun into a glossy, gorgeous yarn—a Galar regional specialty. One ability of theirs to watch for is called Cotton Down and there is a probability that one or both of Gym Leader Milo's Pokémon have it."

“Sounds like another Pokémon is going to bother me,” Jen said as she did not mind pokemon trying to play with her. Aura enjoys her trainer scent of Alola flowers.

"He's got a lot more pokemon then that, but I'm not going to spoil the surprise, you guys will just have to wait for my exhibition match with him" Selina teased Shinranui and the other before she heard a caw above her before a Rookidee drop a package to her.

"Thanks Velma, tell Grandma thanks as well" She called out to the pokemon as it cawed to her as it flew off. Selina open the package to revile gym shirts and headbands that matched her outfit. "Perfect, their one for each of them and it's the right size" She said to herself before realising the group were probably wondering what they were.
"I asked my Grandma Liara to make little gym outfits for my team. Kinda like the same ones they wore when I did my Gym challenge ten years ago with Leon and Sonya, but of course, I've had a few new members in my team since then and not all of them are able to wear shirts" She told them

"So we need to go west to Route 3," Liam said looking at the map on his RotomDex. Heading out that direction, Liam saw a Galarian Zigzagoon running in a zigzag pattern. It charged and did a running jump into a tree, knocking a Rookidee to the ground. Liam charged out there, sending out his own Rookidee which sparkled as it came out from its ball.
"Peck!" Liam ordered. The yellow bird began to peck the black and white raccoon.
The Zigzagoon tackled Rookidee to the ground and gloated. Liam took advantage of it being distracted and chucked a Luxury Ball at it, catching the Zigzagoon in the process. Liam made sure the Rookidee was fine and with the help of his own Rookidee convinced the wild one to let Liam put it back up in the tree.

Shiranui scanned Liam's new friend with his Rotom Phone. "Zigzagoon: Galar Form, the Tiny Raccoon Pokémon. A Dark and Normal type. Its restlessness has it constantly running around. If it sees another Pokémon, it will purposely run into them in order to start a fight."

"I thought I might send this to Prof Ivy. She was curious about the Alolan variants, I thought she might be interested in a Galarian one as well," Liam said.

“Does she want to study my Alola Raichu,” Jen ask as she notices a family of two Ninetailes and their Vulpies basking in the sunlight?

"Well, I can't say for sure," Liam admitted. "With my permission, Prof Oak sent her my Alolan Marowak, It may still be with her so there's" Liam was interrupted by his Rotomdex chirping: "You have a phone call from Prof Oak." on repeat.
Liam answered the phone. "Hello, Prof what's up?" Liam asked.
"Ah, Liam I was just calling to let you guys know that Prof Ivy has finished her research on the Alolan variants you guys leant her and that she was grateful."
"Oh, we were just talking about that actually," Liam said. "I just caught a Galarian Variant and thought she might like to study it for a bit. I can send it over when we get to a Pokémon Center.
"Excellent, I'll send her lab's number to your phone so you can call her directly," Oak said.
"Cool, thanks Prof," Liam said.
Liam then heard Prof Oak cry out "No, not now Muk!" and then there were three beeps and the call ended.
"He's probably fine," Liam said.

Shiranui agreed with Liam's comment based on gossip he heard from his Pokémon on how affectionate Ash's Muk was towards Prof. Oak.

"Well, I guess we should keep going," Liam said. "According to the map, Turfiled is on the other side of this upcoming cave."

To Jen that is a maybe, as she hopes Maui and Dusk are effection for Professor Kuku. Jen is intertwines to in the cave to see what type of. Pokémon lives on the cave and what items were on the cave floor as Aura waits for her trainer.

It wasn't long until the entrance for Galar Mine #1 came into view. Liam stopped on front of the cave and turned back to his friends. "Do you think Zubat are native to this region?"

Shiranui looked up a Pokémon database website on his Rotom Phone. "They are, but they're not found in this mine," he answered, "What is found here are Rolycoly, Timburr, Woobat, Diglett, Drilbur and Roggenrola." He looked up all the Pokémon that he didn't recognise on the Pokédex app.
"Rolycoly, the Coal Pokémon. A Rock type. Most of its body has the same composition as coal. Fittingly, this Pokémon was first discovered in coal mines about 400 years ago."
"Timburr, the Muscular Pokémon. A Fighting type. It loves helping out with construction projects. It loves it so much that if rain causes work to halt, it swings its log around and throws a tantrum."
"Drilbur, the Mole Pokémon. A Ground type and the pre-evolved form of Excadril. It's a digger, using its claws to burrow through the ground. It causes damage to vegetable crops, so many farmers have little love for it."

"Zubat are not as frequent is this Region as they are in others, plus there moves set are quite different as well, Crobat is a favourite in Galar so a lot of people will get Crobat" Selina told them with a smile.

Beckham popped out of his ball, curious about the mine. "Beck, don't wander off," Liam advised. The Scorbunny waved in acknowledgment of his trainer's request.

"Sogekishu, repel these Woobat with Water Gun!" Shiranui called his Sobble out and Sogekishu fired Water Gun warning shots at the Woobat flock to try and scare them off.

Aura keeps a eye on Beckham the Lucario have a feeling he could cause trouble. The Woovats stay away as they wait for bug pokemon to eat them. “To me it seems like they gives us a ign of love,” Jen said as some of the Woonats hanging upside down looks like hearts.
