It wasn't too far into town that Liam spotted a very poorly disguised Chairman Rose, along with his assistant, Olena who was not disguised. Liam leaned over to Shiranui. "Doesn't everyone know she's Rose's assistant? Shouldn't she be disguised as well? I mean, even the Rockets we deal with use better disguises than what Rose has on. But I feel that since she didn't Rose shouldn't have bothered."

"You hit that nail on the head, Liam," Shiranui whispered back. Being an expert on disguises due to his ninja training he agreed that Jessie and James were experts in the art. "Even Prof. Kukui could disguise better than Rose." It wasn't helping Rose's case that he was surrounded by fans seeking his autograph.

Selina slipped away as Rose approached them, something about him, just screamed hidden agenda to her, though she smirked and immediately appeared behind a disgused Aki, knocking him down before launching a electrical net at the Malamar she sensed close by breaking the pokemon control over her younger brother for a spell. "Aki, I need you to speak quickly while we have this chance" Selina told him, as he quickly nodded "Mum's discovered something big on the Armour Isle, your friends need to get the second badge and get there as soon as possible. Natsu leading them" Aki told her which Selina nodded and kissed her brother head softly, "Thank you, brother. I promise I'll free you and the others as soon as possible" Selina told him which made him nod before noticing Malamar breaking free and used his pokemon to wipe his memory of Selina attack as she vanished.

She would reunite with the others once Rose was gone.

Rose then attempted to subtlely walk away but he was still easily recognizable and still had crowds following him.
"Someone has got to teach the Chairman about how to make a proper disguise," Liam said thinking aloud.

Chuck entered behind them when they discussed who would go first, however the moment he saw the gym leader Nessa, he stepped forward and said "I'll go first." Before anyone could say anything, he approached her and got to one knee, arms spread out before him. "I see I have stumbled upon the bright and shining beacon of Hulbury, my name is Chuck North, but you can call me yours!" he said, in a similar fashion to one Gym Leader of Pewter City.
