Fia followed Drake out, deciding she would help him as it would also mean she could make sure he didn't overdo it at the same time. She also didn't want to fully be with the younger version of her mother and she couldn't pinpoint just why. She didn't know if it was to do with the fact it was a younger version and weird to see her mother like that or if it was because she just wasn't that close to her mother in her own timeline, or if it was simply something else entirely. Kay watched the two teenagers leave the room without a single word being said and then turned to Trish. "okay kiddo, let's go tidy up downstairs yeah?" She suggested.

Josh nodded in some kind of understanding. He couldn't say he knew what it was like to have an adverse feeling toward water, but he understood the not wanting to be alone part of her statement. "Understandable" he simply said, acknowledging that Chas had entered the room and was off to do something or another. "Okay, let's get you into full blown relax mode" he smiled to Serena.

(Sorry it's taking me a while to reply, my mom was in hospital this last week so I've been a bit pre occupied)

Trish nodded and started to head to the kitchen, the safest place for them to clean without magic getting them.

Serena smiled then saw Chas and said “is John okay?”

Kay went with Trish to the kitchen, looking through the cupboards to find cleaning supplies which she assumed was down to Chas and not John. She pulled out cloths, cleaning sprays and other stuff. She handed Trish some sponges and a surface spray bottle, "use that to spray the worktops and use the sponge to wipe it clean" she explained.

Chas paused his walking and looked at Serena and Josh, "yeah, he's sleeping in his room so we're all clubbing together to do a bit of tidy up and stuff. You and Josh just relax. We got this covered" he replied with a smile. He could see how tired Serena was after saving John's life and didn't want her exerting herself anymore than she already had. He knew she would be in safe hands with Josh and that he wouldn't let her over do it.

(Yeah, she had a total knee replacement so been a bit crazy as I take over on everyday stuff and stuff whilst she recovers)

Trish nodded and jumped into the task, humming as she worked. “I help Josh with the chores at home so this won’t be a problem. Kay…” she paused and looked at Kay. “Is Serena in love with my brother?”

Serena nodded and said “he needs to be check on top and bottom of the hour…just to be safe…I know Fee helped in healing him but I don’t want to take any chances…”

(I’m sorry to hear that. I’m glad she’s okay though. I’ve had three deaths of older family members in the last three weeks so I was hoping it wasn’t spreading. I am glad she has you to help her)

Kay smiled when Trish started humming as she began cleaning. It was rather sweet as she herself started working on the sink and deep cleaning it. Her attention went back to Trish when she spoke to her, asking a question that made her instinctively glance briefly toward Serena and Josh then back at the job at hand. "I don't know if love is there yet, only Serena could know that but they are definitely growing close and it does feel and seem like there's a lot of mutual feelings between them." She replied to Trish.

Josh and Chas both nodded at Serena's words. Both of the men could understand why Serena didn't want to take things for granted and still have John checked every hour just incase. "That's fair enough, we can take shifts if needs be" Chas replied. "now go and relax, you deserve it" he added with a smile. Josh gave him a casual salute in response and helped Serena get upstairs to the bathroom.

Trish nodded and said as she wiped the counters “I just want him to be safe and happy…is he with Serena?”

Serena smiled at Chas and leaned on Josh to the bathroom. Drake was working in the study, rubbing his eyes from being lightheaded

Kay could understand where Trish was coming from. She herself only ever wanted and still does want, her sister Sam safe. Even though it meant for the most part she had to stay well clear of her, the last lot of drama at Sam's house in Seattle only proved that to Kay all the more. "I can get that. I'm sure he is happy and he's safe here with Serena. You both are and if you ask me? I'd say there's definitely something going on between them. I can somehow feel the energy and aura between them." She replied.

In the study, Fia was helping Drake tidy it up a little, not wanting Drake to work on a room on his own. She noticed how lightheaded he was getting and so she pulled out her dad's chair and made him sit down by grabbing his arms lightly and guiding him over to it. "take five minutes to sit. You shouldn't be pushing yourself Drake" she told him honestly and worriedly. She pushed herself up onto her father's desk (a bad habit she picked up from her mother without even knowing it was her who she picked it up from) and looked at Drake.

Trish looked at her confused and said “what kind of aura? Energy?”

Drake leaned his head back and sighed. “Sorry…I thought I was over it but seems my body isn’t recovered fully yet…that was crazy…that whole surgery thing…no wonder mom went back and finished in half the time…” he flinched and rubbed his temples. “How’s your dad?”

Serena sat on the toilet seat and said “thank you josh…”

Kay didn't even really know why she said what she said because quite frankly, she didn't fully understand it either. She gave a shrug and a sigh as she thought about what she should reply with. "To be honest, I don't fully understand it myself. Which makes me wonder if it's some...phoenix thing unlocking within me or something" she started to say before giving an amused scoff at her own words. "I'm probably not making things any clearer to be honest. But since they've been getting closer and Drake has shown up? I just feel this warmth grow between them" she finished explaining as she cleaned the kitchen up with her.

Fia could understand why Drake would think he was more over something than he was. He had grown up around people like herself who could heal up at an unnatural speed after all. She remembered all of a sudden a time when they were kids and he'd complain how she healed from grazes or cuts faster than him. "You're not me Drake, of course you don't recover as quickly" she joked with a small smile creeping onto her face, which disappeared just as quick as it appeared when he mentioned her dad. "I'm guessing okay. Chas put him on bed rest and if he's anything like he is in our time? We all know how that will go, but maybe for once he'll listen and actually rest up. He's definitely through the worst of it." she explained to him. "It was so crazy down there though Drake. Fee actually fully took control of mum right in front of me and it was the most bizarre thing I've witnessed" she sighed.

Josh smiled at Serena thanking him for helping her out. It felt like such a small thing to thank him for, but he accepted it graciously anyway. He leaned over the bath to turn the taps on after closing the plug hole and then perched on the bath edge. "You don't need to thank me, but I accept it anyway" he smiled at her.

Trish nodded as she went back to cleaning. “So do you think Josh will date her more then just have a crush on her?”

Drake looked at her and said “it’s early for them. I don’t think your mom can control the powers fully yet…look at my mom. I mean…she’s not like how she is in the future…”

Serena smiled weakly and said “you deserve the thanks…you help me always and get nothing…”

Kay couldn't help but smile at Trish's question about he brother's future decisions in his love life. "Who knows kiddo, but maybe so. If Drake is anything to go by I'd say anything is entirely possible" she replied to her. As she finished wiping down the counters, she turned to the plates in the drainer and decided to actually put them away into a cupboard.

Fia nodded at Drake's words, knowing he was right even if it still felt incredibly strange to her to see her parents at such a premature stage in their growing relationship, and not only that but her mother still so new to her abilities and powers as a phoenix. "Yeah, you're right. It was still just unnerving to witness. Fee barely ever comes out in our timeline, and the times she has, I haven't been around nearby." she replied to him. She glanced down at the books on the desk as she spoke before one caught her attention, making her pick it up and flick through the pages.

Josh smiled and just shrugged at her comment. He knew it was true, but he also knew it was just in his nature to help people. He was used to it for Trish and generally stepping up when people needed him to. He never once did it in the expectation to gain something in return. "Eh..it's nothing, really." he told her back, testing the temperature of the water before turning the taps off and standing up. "Bath is all ready for you" he told her with a smile.

Trish finished her task and moved to wipe off the appliances next. “I just want him to be happy…that’s all…I messed up his life enough…”

Drake still held his head as he looked at her and said “what is it?”

Serena smiled and nodded and got up, slipping her shirt off. “Thanks josh…umm can I ask you a question?”

Kay was ready to agree with Trish and smile at the beginning part of her reply, when the last part of her sentence made her frown and pause what she was doing. She knew what it was like to feel like you had screwed up a family member's life, but hearing that kind of talk from such a young child just broke her heart. It didn't feel right to hear from someone so young. She turned to face Trish as she put down what she was holding and sighed, "Trish stop what you're doing for a moment" she asked her. "Kiddo, listen to me, you have not screwed up his life okay? Trust me, I know what it's like to feel like that about family but you're still so young and believe me when I say I can guarantee that Josh doesn't think you've screwed up his life in the slightest." she began to explain to her softly. "Josh loves you like no other and as your big brother he would literally do anything for you. He would not change that for anything or anyone, but he also hasn't sacrificed being happy for himself and I'm sure Serena makes him happy" she tried to reassure her.

Fia glanced at him and then back down at the book she was flicking through. "Oh I don't really know to be honest but there's some interesting stuff in here" she replied as she flicked through the pages that had lore on many mythical and magical demons and beings. She wanted to initially think 'monsters' and 'beasts' but then she realised she would have been thinking of her own bloodline as either one of those words. "It's interesting either way, didn't know dad had this kind of book to be honest" she commented without even looking up from the book.

Josh smiled and nodded, whilst not wanting to intrude or come across as a complete and utter creep as she undressed for the bath. "Sure, you can ask me anything. What is it?" he asked her,

Trish turned to face her and tears lined her eyes as she said “he gave up everything to take care of me…it’s my fault…”

Drake was rubbing his temples as he said “it shouldn’t be that surprising…his like a horder of information…on anything…”

Serena sighed then said “are we…an item?”

The moment Trish started crying, Kay instantly felt out of her comfort zone. She walked over to the child and knelt down to her level before slowly enveloping the girl in her arms for a hug. "Hey..SHH...it's not your fault at all. It's what older siblings do okay? My sister Sam is only a few older than myself and we're not even biologically related but what I'm trying to get at is that even she stepped up the moment I was going through tough times and I lost my folks. If it wasn't for her, her folks would have never adopted me and I'd be without a home. Without a family. Josh did the same thing for you. His love for you is so much more important than anything else in the world and he's doing it all for you because he loves you, not to sacrifice anything else in his life." she explained, hoping she would understand.

Fia couldn't help but smirk at his comment about her dad. He wasn't wrong, even in their time John hoarded anything and everything, even information if it meant he could use it against his foes and have the upper hand. "you're not wrong there" she replied. "I've just never seen this book before that's all." she commented.

Josh paused still when she asked the question she did. It was a question he was in all honesty half expecting to be asked at some point. "If you want to be a thing with me. I'd love nothing more than to be your boyfriend." he told her with a soft smile.

Trish wiped her eyes and looked at her. “Really? He doesn’t hate me for it?”

Drake shrugged and said “might get lost by the time we come along…dang it my head is killing me…”

Serena looked ar him then said “and not just because we met our son who is downstairs?” She moved to sit next to him.

That question made Kay's heart ache for the kid. "Oh kiddo no. Josh could never hate you for anything, of that I know for certain" she told her, sweeping some hair behind her ear for Trish and giving her a reassuring smile. "He'd never hate you" she told her, "so wipe those eyes and no more tears" she added, hugging her one more time.

"Hmm... quite possibly" Fia replied to Drake, before putting the book down and placing her hands on Drake's head, she focused on her healing ability to give him some sort of pain relief, at least for a temporary moment. "Has that helped?" she asked him, hating seeing him in pain in any manner.

Josh couldn't help but smile at her next question before shaking his head. "No, it's not because we just met our future son. I'm not gonna lie, that is a little unnerving to see because well...it's our kid. But I liked you before he came appearing in our lives mysteriously" he explained, placing his hand ontop of hers. "I've been falling for you from the moment you help to save Trish in that hospital, showing how strong you are despite you thinking otherwise no doubt. Not only that, you're beautiful inside and out" he smiled at her.

Trish nodded and wiped her eyes, feeling a lot better. “Thank you Kay…I do feel better…I was worried about Josh…”

Drake sighed softly as her powers washed over his aching head and said “that helps…”

Serena blushed at his words then smiled softly. “Thank you…I have fallen for you as well…”

Kay gave her a smile and tapped Trish's chin with her thumb. "Any time kiddo" she replied to her. "Just promise me you won't grow up too much faster, you deserve a childhood to remember fondly of when you're older" she told her. She herself didn't much of a childhood, and what she did have, it was tarnished with misery and she hated the idea of Trish going through that same turmoil.

Fia nodded and placed her forehead against his softly. "Good, you know you only have to ask for me to help. You're like my brother, I'll always help you out" she told him, letting herself linger for a moment before sitting back and looking around the room. "You know what's funny Drake? I think compared to how it is in our time, this is the cleanest and emptiest this room has ever been, and that's saying something considering its far from empty now" she chuckled. There was no denying it, Fia saw what an actual hoarder of all things magical her father truly was.

Josh smiled, lifting his hand and stroking her cheek with his thumb. "I'm glad to hear that" he replied to her truthfully. "Now come on, have your bath before the water gets cold" he smiled.

Trish smiled and nodded then looked around and said “what should we clean next?”

Drake smiled weakly and nodded. Then he said softly “what do we do now? Do we stay? Or go home and see how things turned out?”

Serena nodded and said “thanks…” she pulled herself up and then looked at hi. “Staying or going?”
