@GamerXZ The unspoken rule of thumb so far has been that the characters may have a net superiority to the average human, but anything substantially beyond that requires some sort of equal detriment. Like, MacKenzie is a good example of roughly where the limit is. She's basically an Olympic athlete warrior with no weaknesses - and that's perfectly fine. That's exactly the level of power she should have around here. Jared, on the other hand, has 10x the strength of a normal human, which puts him at about twice the max power output of our main villain, who has to rely on hysterical strength to reach anywhere near that kind of power. So he has a major detriment: he shares a body with a Voidspawn.
So basically, you can be exceptionally powerful, but within reason.
