This is a world of wonders. Gods, aliens, and mutants walk the Earth. These powered individuals will often use their powers for their own benefit or to help others. These beings became known as supervillains and superheroes respectively. These heroes and villains first showed up during World War II, with heroes like Captain America captivating the public’s attention. In the decades following the war, the existence of mutants became public knowledge. Anti-mutant groups like the Friends of Humanity would quickly form as superheroes were lowered in public opinion.

This would change with the dawn of a new era of heroes. From the Spider-Man of New York City to the return of Captain America, heroes would once again be valued. This new influx of heroes would result in the formation of many teams like the Fantastic Four, X-Men, and the Avengers. While these heroes were busy fighting crime, they were watched over by SHIELD, a global defense agency. For many years this setup would work as heroes regularly saved the world. But that would change one year ago.

Captain America, leader of the Avengers, would discover that the terrorist organization Hydra was secretly in control of SHIELD and had been manipulating world events. The many heroes of Earth would team up to defeat Hydra, capturing most of its leaders. In the wake of this crisis, SHIELD would be disbanded. The planet was now left with a large hole in security.

Captain America would then be approached by Nick Fury, former head of SHIELD. After the two spoke, Cap would decide to expand the Avengers into a global agency. Captain America would then recruit many former and new members to the Avengers in what was known as the Unlimited Initiative. The first squad of these new Avengers teams would be based in New York City, operating out of the old Avengers Mansion.

This is an alternate universe Marvel RP, focusing on playing as canon characters. However these characters aren’t limited to classic Avengers, as pretty much any heroic character is acceptable. Characters can also be reinvented as long as the core of the character remains the same. Original characters can also be acceptable as long as they fit in this universe, but they would be a minority.

This RP will be episodic in nature, following this new team of Avengers navigating a world post-SHIELD and Hydra. Other Marvel heroes will pop in every so often for a guest appearance. Also players are encouraged to submit story ideas to steer the course of this RP.

• Abide by all rules of the Guild.
• This roleplay is PG-13, so no excessive violence or sexual material.
• No power gaming.
• Two character maximum at the start of the game.
• All Avengers must be 18+, or equivalent if an alien, robot, clone, or something like that.
• Post character sheets here to be approved.
• Have fun!

For the history section please make it at least two to three paragraphs, covering origin, reaction to the SHIELD-Hydra reveal, and how they joined the Avengers. Also the extra section is mostly for talking about how you reinvented the character.

Kairi has a rebellious attitude and tends to be headstrong, She usually works better alone and doesn't do well with authority. She isnt very hard to get along with, so long as you dont get on her bad side. She's still young at heart, one can find her often eating candy or gaming, or jammin out to music. Though she may not show it often, she cares for her Friends and the safety of the world's people. She may seem a bit cold, but get passed her wall she's quite a gal. Never one to shy away from a fight or hold her ground, and always there when she is needed. Kairi is also very intellegent, especially when it comes to gear upgrades and augments, she becomes very fascinated with how her and/or her partner's gear works and how they can be uprgraded.

Powers/Abilities: No powers except a high tolerance to radiation,poisons,toxic gasses, and nuclear energy. Kairi is well trained Muay Thai and is equipped with toxic wrist darts, a poisoned katana like sword and a mix of toxic vial like grenades, each with a different use. To also make up for her lack of power, she's learned to be quick and efficent through training and has developed an exquisite skill in stealth

History:
Kairi was born in a military family. Her father Lt. James Rayne served several years in the U.S. Navy Seals, whom has often given her lessons in self defense, even taught her to use a gun properly at the age of sixteen. Her mother Dr.Nyla Rayne served as a Feild Medic in the Army, she too has given her daughter essentail medical knowledge and what to do in first response.
Kairi's school years weren't the best, she hung around the punks and rockers, whom became a bad influence on her. Her grades began to fall and she started using drugs recreationally, all up to her arrest at eighteen. Luckily her father put her into boot camp in hopes to straighten her out.
Her time there was not wasted, she excelled well and even climbed the ranks, her skills grew rapidly and before she knew it, Kairi was an elite member of the Military's Covert Ops. Unfortunately during a stakeout for an intel mission in Russia, Kairi and her team infiltrated a Nuclear Power Plant gather as much information as they could, then the bomb went off. Russian Operatives knew of Covert Operation and set Kairi and her team a trap. She barely survived, but she was definitely different, super human in a way. Once the Military got her back, they sent her at a S.H.I.E.L.D. Medical Facility where she was brought back to good health and offered a position as an agent.
Supporting Cast:
Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff) After Kairi arrived, Romanoff was to oversee her rehabilitation and training, after all Romanoff knew more about Kairi's incident than anybody else. Kairi had eveloped some skills through Romanoff and has did a few missions along side Romanoff. Through her Kairi had proven herself a valuable asset to S.H.E.I.L.D.
Extra/Notes:
She has a hard time breathing withouth her gasmask thats modified to feed her oxygen from a small gas canister clipped to the back of her ultility belt. She can only last a few minutes detached from it before gasping for air and losing consciousness.

@Ultimate Spidey He in the comics was born in the 70's, he underwent the experiments in his mid-twenties. And with the way his regeneration works he doesn't age so I gauged his physical age would seem around 30.

Toxic resilience, Kairi put the S.H.E.I.L.D outpost she was stationed at out of operations by flooding the whole facility with toxic gas using a timed toxic smoke bombs placed in the air vents before disappearing from the scene. She hid underground for a while before finally being found by Black Widow who somehow kept tabs on her. Romanoff then helped Kairi get into the Avengers, through time and high recommendation. The in-between, Romanoff made sure Kairi was in peak condition with more advanced training.

Spider-Man would probably be a better fit for this RP, as Punisher is a little too violent and I did say this is a PG-13 RP. Perhaps if you toned him down he would work. Also you're allowed two characters right now, so if you wanted you could be Spider-Man and Punisher.

Wolverine would totally work. Just note that someone expressed possible interest in playing as X-23, but I'm not sure if they have decided on their character yet. Also characters don't have to be reimagined. If you want you could play a character straight up like their comic or movie depiction, mix both, or reimagine them. I want to be as inclusive as possible with how players want to run their characters.
