The One Piece. Said to be the world's greatest treasure. Hidden by the one and only Gold Roger, King of the Pirates. On the day of his execution he called out to the free men of the world and issue his challenge. Claim My Treasure. His words that day inspired a new age of pirates in this world of ours. Many out for the greatest treasure ever known. Others sailing the seas for reasons known only to them. This is the Great Pirate Era.

The West Blue, where our story begins, is known most for two thing. First is the Five Families of the West, the five mafia families which rules their respective territories in the sea, often to the chagrin of the World Government. Secondly for Library of Ohara in the Tree of Knowledge, which is now lost after the great tragedy of 22 years ago. A tragedy which upended life across the west blue, and although life moves on the effects of its destruction can still be felt today.

Finally, Welcome to Port South, a port town in the southern parts of the West Blue. A cold but lively port which acts as a hub of trade for smaller island in the region. Run by an up and coming Mafia Family looking to fill the void left behind after Capone Bege up and left for the Grand Line. You may have received an invite to this island from a particular Pirate looking to start a new crews and plenty of connections to get word around.

This takes place in the prime One Piece timeline, Luffy and all the supernovas exist, we will be just behind them on the grand line in the beginning. We will not meet the Straw Hats, but potentially could meet any other Supernovas as their stories are far more open.

As far as canon Devil fruits go, as long as its not a largely consequential fruit in the series already you're free to grab it. So obviously no Gomu, no Gura, no Goro etc. Use your best judgment to not conflict with things already established in One Piece.

I want to be clear though that this is supposed to be fun. This isnt supposed to be a job or heavy responsibility, we should find our selves coming here to enjoy our time not stress out. Please keep that in mind. If you cant be here please understand that's okay. We're all human and sometimes we need to take time. Just talk to us.

Furthermore, this isnt just a RP made for me alone. This is for everyone who wants to read or participate. If you have ideas I want to encourage you to speak on them. We can all direct this story and have fun together. Even though I have an outline doesn't mean we cant change it.

History: Aiden grew up in South of the West Blue, on a cold island packed with dense forest. A forest which was the center of life for the people that called the island home. It provided food and lumber, the latter of which was the islands primary export and way to get goods. As a kid, Aiden was what you would call a bookworm, being so far south the island was subject to snow storms often, and he would find himself with naught to do but read when he was young and stuck inside. This made Aiden and incredibly inquisitive kid, as he asked to learn more about the places and stories he read about, his family managed to get a hold of more and more books.

He learned a lot from his books, wonderful things but also terrible things, and as he got older he sought out more knowledge about the real world. He found an encyclopedia volume that contained knowledge about a small section of the Grand Line, it was unlike anything he had ever read, but the book and those he asked insisted the grand line was a a real place. Full of these very fantastical but real and terrifying wonders. He immediately found himself wanting to know more, to see more. He reached out adn asked around for more books like the one he had, but there didn't seem to be any. When he accepted there weren't any to be had in the West Blue he vowed to write his own, a complete collection detailing the Grand Line.

As a young man Aiden began to take note of the injustices on his island in his village. They grew poorer by the year, more and more shut out from the outside world. According to the officials running the docks the lumber just wasnt worth as much any more, but that the market would definitely pick up next season. They were told this for several years until finally most people just stopped asking. Aiden being the guy he was, didnt stop asking questions. Just like when he was a kid he was curious and patient and persistent. This got him in trouble into the past and it definitely got him into trouble now.

Aiden found out the dock officials had been pocketing increasing amounts of money over they years, stealing from the villagers. So he did the only logical thing and gathered a group of young lumberjacks and threw them off the island. Redistributing as much lost goods back tot he people as they could. The victory though was short lived as Marines soon showed up to the island looking for Aiden. He went along unable to put up much fight against an entire crew of marines.

While in transit a mafia family ship attacked the marines, and Aiden was able to get free. They had attacked to free another prisoner on board, a member of their family. Seeing his opportunity he begged the mafia to help him protect his home from being taken advantage of again. They agreed on a deal that they would claim his home island and protect it is as their own if he would offer his service to the family for 10 years, and he did just that. Ten years that rewarded him just as much as it did the family. They taught him how to look after himself and how to fight. They showed him the nuances of the law and what it meant to be free. After those ten years he left his family to achieve his dream to travel the Grand Line and write the Grand Line Encyclopedia, and to do that he would become a pirate like many before him.

Fighting Style: A brawler that fights using a stave and support constructs of wood. He shapes his wooden stave for appropriate situations. Crafts, limbs, armor and golems to assist him in fighting.
Named Techniques:
- Gingko Golems - Summons moving monsters of wood. Can wrap around self for monsterfication.
- Poplar Pole - Uses powers to transform Adam Wood stick at will. Lengthening. Adding a Blade or Studs.
- Asura of Aspen - Creates a 2 additional sets of arms on the users back and shoulders.
- Buloke Battlesuit - Creates a solid suit of battle armor made of dense wood.
Equipment: Carries a single stick from the Adam tree as his main weapon.
A book he found years ago, an encyclopedia of some part of the grand line, which inspired his dream.

History: Annabelle was abandoned as a young child by her parents. She has no clue why but she could assume one of two things, either they couldn’t take care of her, or she got in the way of whatever it was that they were doing. She was left on the doorstep of an old Marine captain. As she grew up she slowly began to lose the image of her parents that she had in her head and instead began to invent fantasies about them. Her favorite was that they were pirates and they had left her behind so that they could sail the ocean in search of treasure.

As she grew up she was trained in self defense and how to shoot. She had a natural talent for shooting and was quickly able to out shoot many of the men on her adoptive father’s ship. By the age of 16, when the man who raised her finally retired she was one heck of a shot. Everyone was convinced she would become a Marine when she became an adult. So nobody expected her to go missing after she turned 18.

She had taken very few things with her. Only a pistol, some ammo, some clothes, and a mask she had purchased at a festival. She had left and began going by the name Deadeye as a hired gun. It was during her time as a hired gun that she picked up a pretty impressive knack for most artillery and firearms. Her favorite being cannons on ships as well as sniper rifles. Both options kept her far away from the action, where she liked to be.

Eventually she caught wind of a devil fruit that was almost too perfect for her skill set. She was sure the information getting to her was a trap but she didn’t care, she needed that fruit. So she gathered the materials she would need and headed off to take what she wanted. After a few days of memorizing guard patterns she finally felt as though she had the best chance of retrieving the fruit. Taking paths that were sure to have very little traffic she made it to where the fruit was being held, plucked it from its spot, and snuck away with it in the night. Almost too easy, it seemed the person that was looking to trap her with it was either stupid, or simply ill informed, either way it was a win for her.

Personality: Calm, Collected, Mild Mannered, Slow to anger, Protective of those she cares about.
Profession: Marksman (Markswoman as she calls it)
Dream or Motivation: Lorelie’s greatest motivation is to find her birth parents and get them to tell her why they abandoned her. Part of her never wants to find them, worried they were just lowlifes that decided they didn’t want her anymore. But a bigger part pushes to find them hoping that her fantasy about them being pirates is the truth. She figured becoming a pirate herself would be a good way to see the world.

Powers/Devil Fruit: The Tage-Tage no Mi: Scope (Target-Target fruit). Though this fruit is not the most powerful it is extremely useful for someone of Loreli’s skill set. This fruit gives the user scope like vision at will. Meaning that Loreli can effectively pinpoint targets from long ranges without actually needing a scope. It also simply allows her to get a closer look at small or hard to see objects. It pairs extremely well with her shooting skills and is a huge part of why she has such deadly accuracy.
-Keen Observation: Loreli is capable of taking note of even the smallest changes in her environment. From wind direction to humidity and weather. All things she needs to keep track of when lining up that perfect shot.
-Sharp Mind: Loreli has a near perfect, almost photographic memory. Some things still get lost or jumbled in her head but she is capable of memorizing text, maps, faces, and recalling information about what she has seen fairly easily. This makes her a near perfect walking encyclopedia of people and their abilities, though people with similar power sets do have a tendency to get jumbled at times.
Fighting Style: Loreli prefers to remain as far away from the action as possible. Choosing to pick off people from far away and in hidden locations. She is capable of close range fighting though she does not excel at it, often relying on others to assist her if she ends up in the middle of a fight. She generally opts for quick ways to disengage and if all else fails, shotguns are always fun options.
Named Techniques:
-Long Shot: As the name implies Loreli takes a shot from a very long distance.
(Not gunna lie, having trouble here so I will add as I come up with some)
Equipment: Carries two matching pistols, a simple dagger, the mask she took with her when she left her home, and lastly her pride and joy her sniper rifle as well as the respective ammunition for her weapons.
Notes:Her devil fruit is still new to her so she is still working out the finer points.

Age: 26

Species: Human

History: Hailing from a small chain of islands in the West Blue known as the Altan Archipelago, Jacks grew up in relative poverty on the island of Portage. Living without parents, or any close family, Jacks turned to the Marines as a way to get himself off the island. A skilled fighter and swordsman, Jacks quickly rose through the ranks, eventually earning the title of Captain and his own "Justice" coat. Shortly after he achieved this rank, he discovered the Marines had invoked a buster call on his home island in order to steal a "treasure" the Altan people were supposedly hiding from the government. Knowing how much the archipelago's treasure meant to the people, Jacks commandeered a ship and stole away to intercept the battleship that was transporting the treasure. The treasure in question turned out to be a Devil Fruit which Jacks was forced to eat to keep out of the World Government's hands. After managing to barely escape the ship with his life, Jacks took up a new life as a pirate, using his newfound powers to protect those who would be betrayed by the world government.

Personality: Jacks comes across as a serious and stoic individual when you first meet him. He tends to keep people at an arm's distance because he fears betrayal. Once someone earns his trust however, he quickly relaxes and they see a lighter side to his personality. He tends to be a bit impulsive with his plans and sometimes has trouble thinking a plan through, but once he sets his mind on something, Jacks will usually see it done no matter the odds.

Profession: Captain

Dream: Jacks' main dream to to expose the World Government corruption that led to the destruction of his home. He doesn't have a full plan for it, but he knows there's something at the end of the Grand Line the Government doesn't want found. He figures that's a good place to start.

Powers/Devil Fruit: The Devil Fruit Jacks ate was the Tori-Tori no mi Model: Piasa. A 'guardian deity' of the archipelago, the Piasa is a massive creature that looks to be a hybrid of an eagle, man, fish, deer, and mountain lion. The Piasa Fruit offers the power of flight in addition to enhanced strength and endurance. The unique power of the Piasa fruit is the user has diamond-hard skin when in their moprhed state (akin to armament hardening). The trade off for this power is the user's insides are weakened, meaning they are more vulnerable to poisons or attacks from within their body.

Fighting Style: Jacks is a capable swordsman, but he prefers to fight up close with his fists, claws, and tail granted by his devil fruit. Thanks to his marine training, he has minor proficiency in Rokushiki, specifically with the Soru (Shave), Shigan (Finger Pistol), and Rankyaku (Tempest Kick) techniques.

Named Attacks:
- Pia Claw - Jacks turns his fists into sharp talons and rakes them across his foe's body.
- Tempest Tail - A variation of the Rankyaku technique, Jacks uses the Piasa's fish tail to unleash a powerful burst of wind.
- Ten-Point Pistol - A variation of Shigan, Jacks fires his antlers forward, striking the enemy with the ten individual points of his horns.

That would be correct; I was gonna have my character be strong against Devil Fruit users, with one of the swords she uses in particular being made purely out of a high wavelength Seastone. That sword will be a nodachi, as well as one that's equipped with a Thunder Dial, and she'll also have two urumi, one with a Flash Dial and one with a Flame Dial.

I'll have to throw you a DM containing the app some time, @G3njii. The plan was to have it completely finished by tonight, but I'll send it then regardless of the state it's in.
