Completion of his doctorate had many employers requesting his employment at their company. Kiran decided to go with the private sector of the world government to design spacecraft, missiles, and satellite blueprints. At the end of half of a decade, the government requested that he hopped onto an in-progress top-secret project: Ark No. 15.
Being brought aboard on this specific project, he learned about the failures and successes before him. Simulations and plans before couldn't hold up in some of the basic situations in space, breaking through the atmosphere, or lifting off the ground. The superiors were all about how this spacecraft could not falter and how they had to get it right this time. Everyone was running out of time.

Kiran spent two years on the tail end of the project and ended up receiving the required training for the journey. That was after he accepted the invitation. Being a part of a specific organization under the government, he was required to keep up to a certain standard and have basic combat and weapons training. He did better with a projectile versus hand-to-hand, but he wasn't shabby at either.

Physical Description
Kiran has slightly better than average vitals along with a healthy BMI. He stands at 6'2 with a toned and lightly athletic build. Only getting that type of physique from his work and past training. Genetically, Kiran is middle eastern, but he is a fourth-generation world citizen. The world government made it where there were sections, not nations, everything fell under one. This caused a lot of diverse relationships to happen within a few decades and the blending of cultures. This might be why he has an arm sleeve dedicated to each experience he had in each sector he visited - sadly, he won't ever be able to finish it. There are a few empty spots.

Quick Personality
Depending on the conversation with him, you might find this individual to be very complex and confusing at times. He confuses himself most of the time. Not knowing what he truly wants. Behavior that might be linked with many loners, and watching out for himself, Kiran is known to be somewhat overly selfish at times and tries his hardest not to care. His uncaring front shield ends up getting him in more trouble than some somethings are worth, and he usually breaks down into his softer and more caring side.
Kiran is known to cope with stressful situations by talking way too much and maybe of things that are not on topic. He might allow himself to get sidetracked, especially if the person he is rambling to allows it. This overall behavior might cause him to make situations way harder than they are supposed to be.

Backstory
Kiran is a fourth-generation world government citizen that had a family up to the age of thirteen. His father ended up passing away due to a work accident as simple laborer. After the passing of his father, his mother tried her best to provide for him and his five other siblings. She ended up going to prison for tax fraud and many other charges that included theft of mail. All of the Carter siblings ended up going into the system and becoming separated. This meant he had to make a name for himself, so he decided to focus on school. Get a full ride through university and go from there. He never thought he would be someone who was chosen to be on such a journey in his future.

Specialization & Training One of the leading experts of linguistics and archaeology in his field, speaking no less than 23 different languages, Jack graduated with honours and upon obtaining his Ph.D. he started an esteemed position at the International Museum. Several years were spent where he travelled the globe, studying ancient languages and cultures as well as writing and publishing papers on his discoveries.

Discovering and cataloguing the history of mankind has been his greatest passion and goal, so when he was recommended for a position aboard the SC Calypso, he was hesitant but ultimately accepted. Yes, there are some aspects of human history that he'd never be able to discover now, but this position not only allows him to preserve human knowledge and culture on another planet, but to be present at the start of a whole new civilisation. The six months spent training for this mission was nothing short of gruelling - especially the physical aspects since he had never been the most athletically inclined - but he passed in the end with some new skills added to his repertoire. He's now able to hold his own with basic self-defence and hit a target while actually aiming for it(though he's still a ways of from managing a bullseye).

Quick description of health Jack's vitals are well within the normal range for someone of his stature. Standing reasonably tall at 6'1", he has a narrow, somewhat gangly build and weighs 80kgs. He is caucasian with his genealogy showing roots in Scotland, France and the Netherlands. He's not very athletically inclined, but manages to stay reasonably fit.

Quick personality An open, friendly guy, Jack tries his best to always treat others with respect. He's very easy to approach and always happy to talk to others, except when he's reading - in which case, DO NOT DISTURB. He is also as loyal as he is petty - meaning very. He'd be the first to have your back in a fight, but if you get on his bad side...he knows how to hold a grudge.

Backstory Growing up, Jack was the middle child of five children, with an even bigger extended family. The town he grew up in was small, the kind of place where everybody knew one another and had their noses in their neighbours’ business. Though he loves his neighbourhood and his family, he had always been curious about the rest of the world and what lays beyond his small town. That was why he buried himself in books, he learned about the world, taught himself several languages and studied like heck, getting himself a full ride scholarship to one of the best universities.

During his studies, he had an internship at the local museum and upon graduating with a double major and obtaining his Ph.D. he was recommended for a great position at the International Museum, where he spent several years working as an archaeologist, where he got to live his dream of traveling the globe and experiencing various different cultures. Having experienced most of the earth, seeing what a new planet had to offer just seemed like a natural step forward. Jack will miss his family, his friends and the life that he built, but joining the SC Calypso is an opportunity that he couldn’t pass up and one that he doubts he will regret in the long run.
