The dimly lit, dreary streets of Maysville were cold this time of year. Though the temperature was clearly below freezing, the only precipitation the town ever got was a murky rain. Your shoes squelched as the mud from the ground crashed with the pavement below.

Ten minutes ago, you woke up in the forest. The infamous Haunted Hoffmann Hills, you awoke in, though there were no hills at all. Maybe the townsfolk just wanted alliteration, who knows?

Thoughts ran through your head as you scanned the empty streets for people. Was I kidnapped? What did they want? Who were the other figures who woke up in the forest with me?

Your group finally spots a house with a light on. Under normal circumstances, you’d find it suspicious that someone was awake at four in the morning, but now you were grateful for any sign of life.

"Oh, thank God!" Simon muttered to himself as he upward with a sigh of relief. The initial adrenaline from the situation had worn off at this point, but Simon hurried toward the house with a renewed energy.

"I wonder who lives here," Simon thought to himself as he hopped onto the porch, "I can't remember, right now." He came to the door and stretched his hand out to knock when he took notice of how dirty and ragged he was. He had felt dirty, but the little light the house gave off showed him how dirty he really was.

Before he knocked, he decided to remove his shoes and socks. He wriggled his toes as the freezing air stabbed at them, but it was nice to be free of those squelching shoes. Then, he smirked as he realized how silly it would be if someone were to see him outside right now.

Alexandra opened her eyes slowly standing up from a pile of heavy leaves. "Where am I?” Wiping off some dirt from her clothing and walking away. The last thing she remembered was being on the streets of Maysville, walking back to her apartment when she blacked out and woke up in the middle of the forest. She wondered if she was chloroformed while she was walking down the street. She checked herself and noticed her clothes were not messed with.

“Hello, is anyone there?” She yelled out. Walking further into the dense damp forest. While travelling in the forest she kept looking over her shoulder, thinking someone was behind her. Her mind was starting to panic becoming more anxious from not being able to see any sign of life.

Alexandra noticed a light in the distance, she became excited at the thought of seeing another human being. Now running towards the light.
