A long time ago in a galaxy far far away, there was a planetary system located in the outer sectors of the galaxy known only as the Omega sector. Often known for its rather fantastical lifeforms found on the planets, not many fleets of starships or Jedi have made contact with any of the system inhabitants for a long while.
However, even after Order 66 had come and gone, still not many entities had even known of the planetary system or of its inhabitants due to the key struggle between the Rebellion and the Galactic Empire being one of the main focuses of the era however, following the era when the New Republic rose, expeditions to the outer sectors of the galaxy became more common and eventually, more of the inhabitants of the galaxy became aware of the existence of the Omega Sector which soon prompted more expeditions to that part of the galaxy up until a certain day where some of the leaders of the system’s planets had called a council together to discuss the recent influx of visitors.
Among those officials was Marth, the 16 year old prince of Altea, a kingdom planet inhabited by the Altean people. While some believed that they were a subspecies of humans, the truth about them was that they were extraterrestrials that only shared a human appearance.
However, despite having only recently becoming the leader of his people following the unexpected death of the king and queen, Marth appeared to be rather nervous about the meeting and even ended up glancing over at one of the advisors that was standing right next to him. While he knew that he could always depend on them in the past, he somehow felt that even with the guidance of his advisor, he still felt somewhat unprepared for the gathering that was to come although eventually, Tidus, the current leader of Mer and Bartz, one of the two leaders of Ris had arrived at the meeting which soon started.
During the meeting, the leaders discussed various topics relating to the wellbeing of the Omega system and also the increased rate of visitation to the system’s planets. While this discussion went on for a few hours, the leaders all eventually ended up making a collective decision to keep up with the amount of diplomatic visitors and tourists that were arriving at the system to the best of their abilities before almost all of the other leaders dispersed and went back to their home planets aside from Bartz and Tidus who soon decided to speak with Marth.
“So Marth, I know that you’ve only recently become the leader of Altea and all but you did rather well during that meeting! In fact, most of the other leaders and their representatives just simply froze up without warning and honestly, that was a little strange. However, you just tried the best that you could and that definitely deserves a lot of recognition!” Tidus said cheerfully. While he felt the need to praise the young prince for a job well done during the meeting, he also did seem to show a slight hint of curiosity in his voice as well which seemed to slightly confuse the young prince.
“T-Thank you, Sir Tidus. That compliment really means a lot to me however, I must ask why you have opted to use that tone of voice this time around. You never really used it during the meeting but I am a little intrigued about why you would choose to use it now.” Marth said. While he was wondering why Tidus had chosen to use a tone of voice that seemed to suggest curiosity, he had also decided to try and keep his question rather simple and somewhat easy to answer so that the leader of Mer wouldn’t take too long to answer the question.
“Well, I did want to explore Altea and see how everything has changed however, I wasn’t sure if I would be able to do it this time around. So, I ask of you here and now if I can explore the kingdom of Altea.” Tidus said with a smile on his face. Judging by the eagerness in his tone, he seemed to be raring to go when it came to exploring Altea although once Marth had given him permission, he ran outside of the castle and off into the distance to see all that had changed in the world before Bartz ended up approaching the young prince.
“You did well during this meeting. I could tell that despite this meeting being rather last minute, you were still able to pull through and perform remarkably. Not just any leader can do that.” Bartz said before he ended up smiling. He seemed to be rather relieved that the meeting was over for the most part although he also felt like it would be appropriate to congratulate the prince as well.
