Bio: Every day. Every day, Hex has to go through the same routine. From sunrise to sunset. It first begins in the morning, deep in Birchwood Forest, when she's swarmed by countless males offering her fresh berries and honey in the hive. It's simple just to gust them away, but the "oh-so-mighty" queen doesn't like her drones being swept far away into the forest, so she just has to push through and deny any attempts to swoon her. After finally making it past the drones, she checks on the defenders of the hive outside, the Beedrill, who are even worse then the drones. Constantly complaining about the conditions, buzzing, swinging around their stingers, when they don't even belong with them. Hex knows her mother just keeps them around for the purpose of protection. And then she has to talk to the captain of them, about reports, recent attacks, work conditions. The captain' snot too bad, but yells at everyone but her. After that dilemma, it's usually about lunch time.
Hex travels inside the hive, where all the defenders and drones of the hive are mulling about, munching on berry jam. Hex has to flutter by the queen when eating to signify she's royalty. Which is a total pain, considering her mother is always surrounded by her adoring subjects, and she has to listen to every single compliment they have to throw at her. After that lunch ordeal, the young Combee has to follow her mother all the way through Birchwood Forest, to have a meeting with some allies about property and defense and attacks. Hex is forced to sit through it all. Being a "princess," she doesn't have a say in anything. When it finally ends, she has to travel back to the hive, which is all the way on the other end of the forest. Then she finally gets her one moment of peace throughout the entire day. Without it, she'd probably go insane. Hex sits alone in her room, the royal quarters. Her dinner's delivered to her, and she can eat peaceful, and think.
Hex can think about freedom. About how she wants to escape from the same painful route every day. About how boring and uninteresting it is to go throughout her entire day. Even now, thinking about it to herself, she just wants to snore. Hex craved a different life. She didn't want to evolve to be the boring queen, who sat on her throne each day, getting fatter and fatter and passing dumb laws. She wanted action! Adventure! And the rangers, oh, the rangers. They occasionally passed through the forest, and she'd always look at them as they went along their way to fight evil and save the day. While Hex wasn't strong, she knew that one day she could fight alongside them. Join a team, get a badge, and fly free in the skies. To be one of them. But she didn't want that life of adventure soon. She wanted it now. Hex began to formulate a plan to escape the prison of the hive. How to escape the eternal torment of her every day. And the Combee princess knew just how to do it.
It started early in the morning. Much earlier. None of the drones were awake, but some defenders were still buzzing about. A small shaft of early morning light drifted in through a small chip in the wall. Her first taste of freedom. And so, Hex put her plan into action.
"Help! Please!" Hex yelled, her voice echoing down the halls. The Beedrill would be soon rushing in to save her, like the white knights they were. "Someone!"
The young Combee lowered herself into a small bowl of honey from dinner last night. She slathered herself in the junk. She usually saw the drones covered in honey after making it, so hopefully they wouldn't be paying enough attention to see through the honey and at the red mark. The princess slowly drifted into the hall and down the twisting tunnels of the hive. On her way, multiple defenders rushed past her, down to her room, paying her no mind. She had a limited amount of time until they realized the princess had left, so-
"THE PRINCESS!" A voice buzzed down from the hallway. "SHE'S GONE!" Okay, maybe less time. She stopped slowly drifting down the hall and furiously fluttered down it, using all the ability in her delicate wings. She could hear the Beedrill buzzing from down the hall, flying hurriedly through each room, looking for her. There, the entrance! She saw it! She just.. She just..
Hex flew through the exit of the hive. It was attached to a huge tree in Birchwood Forest, under a thick canopy of leaves. And so she flew. She flew, far away. To Allure Town, to become a ranger, and to evolve and grow stronger than the queen. She was becoming quickly exhausted due to the little power in her wings, but she forged ahead. And off to Allure Town she went.
Appearance:
Differences: A common ability passed down in Hex's royal generation is Shed Skin, which she can now use, even if it is kind of gross.
Welp, here it is. Kind of like the idea of this character. Not sure if everyone would agree with a hive for Combee in Birchwood, though.
