To be fair, this RP is a bit of a free-for-all, so roles aren't set in stone. It's like CSGO: you can have several roles (from entry fragger to rover), but they don't actually exist nor are used to an extensive standard.

I like free-form RP better than structured myself. Characters are less limited in options. Though it can get out of hand without proper administration. That aside, I'm just talking about what Falvev sees as his value to a team IC'ly. OOC'ly I'm sure things'll be more interesting.

@KaBling Bags of holding? While they're a common staple in every fantasy setting for probably the last twenty years, they have never stopped the staples of civilized life. Not everybody has a bag of holding, nor can they be appropriate for every application. Is there any upward limit? If they're enormous, surely they're incredibly expensive and hard to find? If they're small, well, that only condenses, rather than eliminates, the need for transportation...
And as you mentioned, would a bag of holding be as heavy as all of its contents?

And certainly, too, individual transports would be necessary. Imagine somebody like Anthony trying to, er, slide his way through the dangerous wilds between towns alone, undefended, and slow as christmas... xD

Disregard, started writing before your edit. xD

After a few discussions with Kabling, we settled on there being chariots, as much as I don't like the idea of it. Ridlins' new character is accepted.

I've changed my OOC post.

Lugia thinks meta = RP physics, so I've cleared that up for him.

And he's got a headache, so don't bug him.

I uh, well, would also like to point out that a chariot is a VERY DIFFERENT THING from a caravan or a cart! Y'know, while we're on the subject.
But enough pestering Loogi
That said, I saw the update. Acknowledged. <3~

Well... completely unrelatedly...

Since we're starting an entirely new team, and there are so many already associated with Arnold's guild, I'm sort of tempted to try to get set up in Treasure Town instead. But we're already AT Arnold's Guild...
Hrm.

Thassa doesn't want to choose between moving further away from her mum and working the next town over!

What do you think, @Pearion_Rehtyer and @Ridlins? Does it matter?
I'm not sure if it does.

I'm off work, and saw mentions of bags of holding. Pretty sure everyone who's played mystery dungeon is aware that they range from 20-64 items ( if I'm recalling right ) but that they are only trusted to strong individuals, and that most pokemon matter the size have difficulty carrying more than one item. Not sure how accurate to the games we're being in this RP but it seems like caravans would be staple I'm society at least.

You know damn well I never cleared the first dungeon before I shelved Explorers of Sky-something for 7 months and then sold it.

Anyway, Anlu's going to check out of reality for a little while. I'll try not to talk tonight unless I have something to say but if I come back and say something weird, blame @KaBling.

Well... that's... hm... we have a notion of 'regular attacks' in this RP, which the games do, as well, basically, it's an attack, with low power, that isn't necessarily a move. Said 'attack' doesn't have a type other than physical, either, so it can't be super/not very effective. Since literally any pokemon can use this, I'll just assume that this can be any variety of actions that would qualify as attacking without being a move. Does that make sense?

Also, mind moving the rest of this to the OOC?

xD Yeah sorry.

Hmm. okay. But like is it necessarily 'low power' if I were to... I dunno rotate your wrist and pop your elbow out of your joint? Because when you get sentient pokemon, you get pokemon who can actually LEARN to fight. And that means you get pokemon who can DO that.
I mean, does that necessarily become an attack? If you delete an attack, how does he lose the memory of how to DO something like that? It seems... unnatural.
But maybe that's just me. It would be far to question my sobriety right now.
...I'm just examining pokemon logic as it applies to roleplaying.

Falvev doesn't live too close to Treasure Town or Allure Town...so he wouldn't mind following her out of the town if she told him she was making a team and he was invited.

I'd rather not get into too many specifics, and it has to be low-power just for the sake of balance. These are essentially free moves, in that they don't cost any PP to use, so, making them decent to high power would have everyone avoiding the use of moves altogether, and I really don't want that in a pokemon RP.

Huh, well, I think I understand I suppose.
I feel like the point of moves isn't to handle power levels though in RP. I feel like they're more of a way to flavor the use of one's abilities.
But I also get that there are other ways to look at abilities. It just feels weird to talk about power levels and damage points. xD.

In a free-form RP this is odd yes. But it is understandable to people familiar with Mystery Dungeon I think.

@Anlu =P I know, just thought it was silly you got so enthusiastic.

Though I would suggest the same, Pokemon is fun, simple, has some nice designs and has deeper strategy if you want to get competitive.
