Oh good, it looks like it's been removed.

And I don't think the city works that way exactly, bobo. Most of our characters walked into Allure town without any type of "alert alert" or needs for identification, in fact, most of the towns we go to don't have any kind of need for identification.

Well, apparently, he skipped to the guild. I mean, I'd be more worried about his post length if that's his intro post.

I'm serious. I'm not aware of such tech.

Wait, he said something about it being electronic? If he did, then we'll ignore his post until he edits that out. Again, I hope this isn't indicative of his normal posts...

I think Ridlins did the same by using some sort of metal detector... thing.

Need you to check.

That could have just been a pokemon below the grate, just like how it is in the games.

I know how creepy that is...
I also know that I'd never want to have that job at the guild.

Exactly.

You can't just say that, mate.

Anyway, I'll let Ridlins on the slip. Expect more technology as the RP series goes on. (Frickin' life support existed in the latest one, which is dead atm.)

I know you're probably not keep on reviewing more character sheets right now, but I'm really interested in the universe of this. It seems to be a lot more developed than others of its kind. Started making an application, but it's pretty late here.

Though I'd like to ask, exactly how common are ruins/artifacts of humanity, and how much attention would they bring if they were discovered? Just a small question, probably won't have much bearing on what I have planned.

Why does everybody assume that we're closed on applications!?

Lugia, go state 'ALWAYS ACCEPTING' in your OP.

Anyway... that depends. Mostly, it's kinda brushed off as 'useless' junk from an ancient race that came before Arceus did. Ruins are pretty rare, since the world had to be rebuilt over the process of millions of years (condensed into a 1000).

Artifacts are more common, but they're not really as easy to find. Not only that, but we still haven't pinned a plot to them yet. As seen in one's post, they generate some interest, but overall nobody really cares.

Can't post tonight, likely can tomorrow.

Lugia said I dunno... I mean, that would mean that, for some weird reason, certain pokemon are considered objects to buy and sell, despite the fact that they're still fully sentient... that kinda borders on slavery. I'd like you to redo the app, please.

Well a lot of Pokemon do seem to thrive on bonds, and Honedge do seem capable of feeding on their wielder's spiritual energy. Maybe it's a form of convenient symbiosis/contract: A Honedge bodyguard in exchange for the slow deterioration of your soul to feed said Honedge. That would do nicely to start off a character (or characters) backstory, actually.

I didn't see the app, though. Your call.

KaBling said ...do you REALISE how CREEPY that is?You really do not want to know.

Humans are pretty atypical in that they need or desire clothes to cover themselves, I really don't think Pokemon care quite that much about who sees what, and they're smart enough to make clothes for themselves if they do need to, as shown by Leavanny and Throh/Sawk (no, Gardevoir is not wearing a dress, those are tentacles). I was always more confused about how liquid, heavy or really thin-legged Pokemon are supposed to be safely identified.

'Rule #218: If, at any point during your occupation as footprint reader, you are suddenly inundated with globules of fiery lava, report the presence of a Slugma to your overseer. Also, consider your contract terminated.'

Thanks for the information. I'll have the sheet up tomorrow, hopefully.

Everyone assumes that RPs with 1000+ replies to the OOC are stable and don't want any more players, plus it's a bit harder to be involved in an RP when the plot's already on its way and character relationships have already been established. I just said that because of the reaction to the last guy who applied.

Alright, everything seems to be running smoothly, and I have ACCEPTING in the OP, somewhere, I'm sure of it.
I'm looking forwards to the new guy's possible app and character...
You know... if either Kabling or I feel compelled to make a new character, we could have them start a new team with everyone's unaffiliated characters (save for fire, who has only posted once in the RP, thus far.) meaning that we'd have a 'Team C', and a plot that Kabling and I will discuss involving them.

tsk tsk tsk, what about these posts?
I used the same mechanic they did.

Ridlins said
...he was taken out of the bucket and placed on the metal grate. The last time they did this, they were greeted with nothing but silence. This time, however, a voice came from below. "Pokemon detected!" There was a slight pause. "I think it's a...Skrelp."...

Evanist said
...She then gets to the front of the guild."Alright... here goes..." she says. She then walk to the grate."Pokemon detected!" she heard from bellow, but stop moving

Anyways, I will be posting an edit for the post, but I couldn't earlier, because my internet was down

okey doke, edited

Name: Breen. Breen Torrents. He prefers milk shaken, not stirred.
Species: Mudkip
Gender: Male
Level: 10
Moves: -Water Gun -Mud Slap -Tackle -Swagger
Bio: Now this is the story all about how Breen's life got flipped turned upside down, and I'd like to take a minute just sit right there, I'll tell you how Breen Torrents became a janitor at a guild in a town called Allure. In the West of Treasure Town, born and raised, actually, wait no, more like Allure Town, yeah, that's where he praise! Chillin' out, maxin' relaxin' all cool, and listenin' to his dad preach about evolution right after school, when the quest for adventure sparked in his mind, he said: "I'm gonna join that big guild and kick some baddie behind!"

And well, he sorta stuck to that motivation, regardless of the outcome. By the book, Breen is a registered Guild Member, with his best friend Torchlite. He's been working there for a good amount of time actually! Lookit that team name - Scooterz! Works real well and all considering his goofy nature and whatnot. Living under the strict rules of his overly religious father, Booker, he sorta let loose with his adventurous and creative side - living out the dreams he's always wanted to when he was confined to staying inside of his room reading comic books with his best friend. And hey, now he's making progress! He's now confined to cleaning the guild in-between large expeditions and reading comic books on break...with a little bit of arguing with Archie here, a little bit of rule-breaking and wandering around over there - all around, he's living his dream!

Of course, he's dedicated to his own little antics around the town, weather it be some sort of job for kind 'ol Mr. McGuillicuddy down the street or working for some gang he's never heard of. Yeah. Nice. And on top of that, his sarcasm and wit will always, can always, and once again I repeat: WILL get him into trouble. In his spare time that doesn't involve work or fun or reading comics or playing the harmonica (he's a professional, trust me.), he's a real kind guy! Always wanting to make friends and such despite his development in the excellent skill of lying and fibbing constantly due to his obsession with comics. But I'm sure that won't play any part later on in this roleplay...

...right?

Appearance: Your average Mudkip, albeit skinnier, due to his constant hyperactivity. He’s got an orange dot on each of his paws - a Torrents family trait, and he wears a pair of novelty 3-D glasses, which he uses to better his eyesight due to his eyes being red and blue (see my profile picture for how it should look at least). He wears his standard rescue team bandanna in the style of a tie - usually a bow-tie. He also carries a small satchel which looks a lot smaller than it is on the inside...they're always like that. He also wears a red baseball cap with a lightning symbol on it, backwards. It's the style nowadays.

Differences: Small immunity towards electric-type moves, happens randomly, but usually results in him getting shocked. Terrified of heights and ghosts! And a slight slight fear of dragons....yeah, they're fuckin' terrifying.

Surprise! Let's keep things as they usually go and make me edit my app 5 times before actually starting, shall we?

When I said "on the slip," I mean we're no longer using them.

Not only do I think very badly of this, but you would DIE, in case of lava slugs and such.

I'd suggest having a guard instead.

Gonna check app later, since we just survived a storm.
