[IC] Blood of Two Worlds

Vincent stumbled when he suddenly felt Dante's weight no longer on him to suddenly seeing Dante infront of his brother and wrestling Damien to stop him.

Damien tried to wrestle back but trying to snap at Duke Vale. He showing signs of slowing down as he continued to struggle. His adrenaline wearing down with the wound in his abdomen. It was soon he slowed to a stop and started slumping against Dante. Blood had made a trail from the right side of his abdomen down his leg and foot.

Alexandria looked to Ana with relief when the bullet was recovered. "I think Dante is. But Damien is currently in a beast mindset. It happened after being shot and triggered him when you were shot."

Dante cursed and said “Brother…I need you…touch over…here…” the Duke moved forward and rested his hand over the wound on the wolf. There was a pause in the blood then the blood started clotting faster and scabbed over in the matter of moments.

Grant saw the surprise on Alex and Vincent’s faces and said “The Vale clan is skilled with blood. Dante can hear it and things related, his brother can control it.”

Dante lowered Damien down and cupped his face. “Damien? Brother are you with us? Can you hear me?”

Ana flinched as the bullet came free and gasped in pain. Then she shuttered and said “please…protect them both…they are…important…” then she fell against Alex, her eyes closed.

That was definitely news to Vincent and Alex as they witnessed and explained about the Vale Families abilities. Vincent came over closer to them all and looked to his Lady whom now had Ana unconscious in her arms. Alex looks toward Duke Vale. "Duke Vale. May Ana have some assistance with her wound as well? Oh!" She looks around for Ana's book.

Damien was unconscious and unresponsive to Dante's call. Vincent walked over to Dante. "I think his adrenaline and rage made him completely unconscious."

Dante was shaking holding him up nd said “I don’t think I can hold him”

Vale nodded and moved to Ana, holding his hand up. But then frowned and said “that’s odd…her blood won’t listen to my call…” he looked at at Ana and said “I wonder if it’s because she’s a mix blood…” he looked around and said “let’s get everyone some where go rest….”

Now Damein was laying on the ground and Dante stood panting. His head was killing him and his vision was blurring. “Vincent…I don’t think…why is the room…spinning…” he stumbled to the side, swaying badly.

Alex nodded. "Somewhere to rest and get patched up." She looks to the Duke. "If any of you would. I'll carry Damien. If anyone carries Miss Ana." When someone takes Ana, Alex stands up to go over to Damien. When she manages to lift the top half of him shifts into a horse to where all that can't be off the ground is his feet.

Vincent caught Dante when he starts to stumble. "You over did it." He picks him up.

Lord Grant came and picked Ana up, holding a cloth to her wound and said “Let’s get them to the manor…they can stay with me for now…” he turned to lead the way out, Ana’s head against his shoulder.

Dante looked at Vincent and then saw Ana get carried towards the door. “I…have to…apologize…I failed her…I didn’t…” then he passed out in Vincent’s arms, his last rush of energy gone.

Four days passed within Lord Grant's manor. Within, all three had wounds treated and/or resting. Damien had shifted back into his human for within day 1 of being in the manor.

The attacker that was captured was locked away for interrogation, which Vincent and Alexandria were working on getting as much information as they could on what happened and what might happen next.

On the fifth day of resting within Lord Grant's Manor, Damien had come to, a groan escaped him, feeling a little stiff and trying to stretch and move his limbs. Opening his eyes to figure out his surroundings, he could tell by scent alone that he wasn't in his house and in a strangers home.

Duke Vale was sitting in the room, half asleep in the chair by what looked like Dante in another bed in the room. When he heard Damien he blinked and looked up. “Oh, Master Damien. Glad to see your awake.” He walked over and helped the wolf sit up. “How are you feeling? Anything stiff?”

The Duke looked terrible. He was in simple clothes but it looked like he hadn’t slept in days.

Damien blinked when he looked at the Duke as he came over to him. He appreciated the help in sitting up seeing as how when the Duke asked about anything stiff he felt stiff all over. But felt fine otherwise from what he could feel at the moment. "I think most of me. But by the feel of that, I must have been out a while. "How long have I been out for?" Damien asks him.

The Duke smiled at him weakly and said “about four days. You shifted back after a day. The witch is still unconscious and so is Dante…” he pulled a glass of water over and held it out for him. “Can I get you anything?”

Damien nods as he accepts the glass of water. "Something to eat sounds nice if that's okay. How are you feeling sir? You feel like you haven't slept well." He points out before taking a drink.

Vale blinked and then said “I’m fine…just been worried about Dante…he hasn’t woken up…but that’s not for you to get worked up over” he moved to the door and slipped out, his voice in the hallway calling out to get some meat up to the suite.

Then he came back in and sighed, walking back to the werewolf and sitting down. “So, what do you remember? Lord Grant said it was important to make sure your head was on straight”

Damien nods to Duke Vale in understanding but doesn't feel convinced that he's fine. So he let's it go for now when he steps out of the room. Taking a drink of the glass he had in hand.

When Duke Vale stepped back in, he followed his movement as he sat back down. Damien thought about Duke Vale's question, looking at the glass he's holding in his lap. "I remember everything well up until I got shot." A hand moved from the glass to his abdomen when he remembered feeling the pain. "It felt like a haze after. I remember wanting to get back up. To protect Ana till she helped everyone in the ballroom. That's it sadly. I don't remember anything else."

Vale frowned a little then said “you heard her get shot…then I believe a blood lust took over. You finished off the one who attacked her, and went after the other until you heard Ana in pain. You moved to us but Dante was able to calm you down enough that you passed out…”

He looked over at Dante in the other bed, worry in his eyes. Dante looked like a mess, lying in the bed now dressed in simple clothes.

Vale said “he hasn’t been able to wake yet…Vincent said his mind is in shock. Whatever that song did to him…Lady Ana is in the next room, her wound I believe has finally closed up. We have trouble closing the wound…”

Damien frowned while he listened to Vale's explanation. These things he was hearing. It made no sense to him for he couldn't recall any of it. The more he heard the more he couldn't belief it. How? How could he kill someone? He never killed a person no matter if they were Vampire, Human or Werewolf. He started to feel nauseous at the thought of it.

Before he could think more on it, he could hear Duke Vale as he look and spoke about Dante and Ana. "I....I see. Has she....had any blood yet? Maybe with all she did last night. Maybe she needs blood to recuperate." Trying to hide his inner turmoil.

Vale looked at him and saw his panic. “Damien…oh you have no idea. Hold on” he got up and moved to the door and opened it “I need Lord Grant” he came back and rested a hand on his shoulder “Damien? You need to hear me now. You didn’t end a life that night. It was already dead”

Grant walked in and said “ah you’re awake. Hopefully your friends will recover as well. What’s wrong?”

Vale turned and said “his trying to handle what happened four nights ago…” Grant walked to him and said “ah the empty shells? The two who had no souls? Yes when Vincent and Alex questioned the remaining one they found it was a body that had been dead for five days. Same with the body you took out. There was no blood after all…”

Damien still felt a bit nauseous but now he was confused. Wondering what was going on, what was the Duke talking about? To say that what he killed was already dead? It didn't make sense.

Seeing Lord Grant walk in, Damien watched Duke Vale and Lord Grant interact before coming to him. He looked between them before he set on Lord Grant as he explained what happened. What he....no....his wolf took on.

"So....it was a talking zombie?" He asks, uncertain about what he was hearing.

Grant nodded and moved to sit down in the chair by his side. “Yes. There was no blood in the bodies. It’s old dark magic…I haven’t seen it since the war. Seems Panic Discord has powerful allies…”

Vale rubbed his face and said “this we can work out later. Right now everyone needs to recover. Now Damein is awake now brother might wake up…”

Grant looked at him and said “Duke Vale, you should get some sleep”

Damien seems to mull over the information he was given. Wondering how Panic Discord could have someone on her side that could create neo-mharbh(undead). It was disturbing. Though he felt a little better, it still made him wonder what his wolf was willing to do to either keep him and his friends alive. It was a disturbing thought within itself.

"Maybe...I could check on Miss Shade? Maybe there is something going on maybe I can pick up on internally? Animals can sometimes pick on something emotionally, chemically, things like that." He explains. Wanting to give himself something to do while he processed what he had been told. "I can do that for them both if you would like." He offers.

Grant smiled and said “that sounds like a fine idea. Vale? Would you like him to check Dante first? Give you some peace of mind so you can rest?”

Vale frowned a little bit nodded and said “Vincent said he would be by to see if he could try and reach his mind again…another opinion wouldn’t hurt though”
