[IC] Blood of Two Worlds

The young woman was standing there, looking out at the city when he appeared. She looked around and said “oh good morning, I’m sorry I haven’t heard you name yet…I need to thank you for your help last night…Mr. Dante told me what happened…”

[Jazz]

Damien gives and gentlemanly bow to the Lady before him. "My name is Damien Malcolm, my lady." He straightens himself with a smile. "I'm just glad I could help. How are you feeling?" He asks.

Violet said “I’m okay…stunned after hearing all that happened…what I did in that state…but thankful for what Dante and Lady Shade did for me…is she really the Purple Witch?”

The woman in question stirred and opened her eyes, sitting up weakly and rubbed her eyes. “Ms…Violet…”

[Jazz]

Damien leans against the railing looking out at the city. "From what I've been told, she is. I haven't heard of the Purple Witch so I have no references to go on." He admits. Hearing Miss Shade stir, he looks over to see her sitting up. "Seems Miss Shade is awake. If you would like. I extend an invitation to breakfast. I'm just about to start cooking."

Violet smiled and said “I would like that. Might be my last meal…” she walked inside and went to clean up. Shade was folding up the blankets and looked up at Damien. “Good morning”

Damien was not sure what Violet meant by that, shaking his head of the thought, he went inside, looking to Miss Shade as she was folding the blankets. "Good morning. How are you feeling?" He asks her, though knowing what was going on.

Ana looked at him and said “I’m alright. I saw Violet. She looks worried. I will protect her, just let her know that.” Then she saw the confusion and said “when fangs are cursed normally like this…not like Violet was but from birth, they are labeled for death by beheading. I’m sure Violet thinks her life is on the block. But I won’t let it happen”

[Jazz]

Damien scrunched his nose at the thought of beheading, leaving a bad taste in his mouth. "Do any Vampires know that there is a cure from being a cursed one?" He asks while making his way to the kitchen and taking a sip of his coffee before going to the fridge and starts pulling out ingredients like fruit, eggs, vegetables, milk. Damien sets them on the counter. He then grabs an apron and puts it on and fastens it before getting started.

Dante looked up and said “we weren’t even sure there was till last night. Lady Shade is the first to figure it out. That’s why we wish to take Ms. Violet to the Gate Keeper, to show it can work. That’s the goal now”

Ana walked in and sat in a chair saying “and we wish to meet with the Queen as well…”

[Jazz]

"Makes sense. Then maybe I can tag along. As a witness to act. Don't know how well that will go but it is worth a shot." Damien offers while cutting up some peppers on a cutting board. After he rinses off the cutting board and moves on the fruit and placing it in a bowl together. "Though would the Gate Keeper take any of out word for it?"

Dante sighed and said “we will more then likely have to prove it…show it works by curing another Cursed One…but at least we can keep Ms. Violet safe. Not even the Gatekeeper would want to cross Lady Shade…she is one of the Queens former Generals…” Ana waved her hand and said softly “I didn’t take that title…during the war she blessed me with it as a after thought…I never answered by it”

Dante smirked and said “true but you had a lot of other nicknames back then that made you more terrifying…”

Damien gave a hum in acknowledgement. Who knew one person could have so many nicknames and titles during one war. He was lucky to only have one while he was with his family pack.

Having cut most of the fruit, he finishes up before grabbing a couple spoons and begins to mix the fruit then puts it in the fridge.

Ana said “never mind this topic Dante. We have a job to do and lives to save…” she stood and moved to help in the kitchen but when she got there her legs buckled and she stumbled, grabbing the countertop.

Dante shot up and said “Lady Shade?”

Damien closes the fridge while going back to the cutting board to rinse it off. He sets the cutting board on the counter top and gets pan from the bottom cabinet$. He stops when he noticing that Miss Shade's knees buckle. "Miss Shade?"

She was panting a little but said “I’m fine…really…” violet was suddenly at her side, her vampire speed kicking in. She felt Shades pulse and frowned. “She’s low. She hasn’t fed in too long. My lady, when did you feed last?” Shade sighed and said “last full moon…”

Dante cursed loudly in Italian and said “are you kidding me! That was almost a month ago?! Why?” Ana flinched at his tone and said “I can’t use the book after I feed…not if it’s human blood…and we were trying to find a cure…I couldn’t risk it…”

[Jazz]

Damien sighed, putting the knife down then running a hand through his hair, feeling the tension within the room. Boy did he hate moments like these. He could feel the energies and sadly absorbs them like a sponge. Though while he had to try and keep his cool to a degree, Damien was understanding their frustrations and it he was starting to feel frustrated himself and had to bite his tongue. Instead he looked to his guests, knowing he had no place to speak. He still had the offer open to Miss Shade.

Violet looked at Dante and said “wait did you know this?” Dante was staring at Shade, stunned. “No…I didn’t know…but then how did you use the book in the war? You couldn’t have gone days without feeding…” Ana tried to sit up and said weakly “my brothers in arms…let me drink from them…I can use the book if I feed on vampire or werewolf…basically anything with magic bond blood…humans won’t work and I can’t use the book…”

Violet said “so when you drink from humans…it doesn’t help you at all?” Ana said “it feels my blood thirst but…I can’t use the Book of the Midnight Moon…”

She looked up at Damien and said “I’m sorry to bring you this trouble…I thought I had enough…to get me to the vampire side of the empire…”

[Jazz]

As Damien listened, he was pinching the bridge of his nose as they discussed her limitations. He looks to Miss Shade and shakes his head. "It's alright. If I may be so bold. But starving yourself like this is not the way to go. You need to stay in top form if you want to help these cursed ones. Which means you need blood. My offer still stands." He says bluntly.

Ana looked up, confused for a moment then remembered and blushed a little. “I…I don’t if that’s…” Dante said “no buts my lady. You need this right now. We will eat breakfast to get something in your stomach first then before we do anything else your getting blood. As your guardian I’m putting my foot down on this”

Damien nods before anything else can be said. "Good. With that settled I'm making omelets. Anyone want anything specific in theirs?" He asks while getting into the fridge and grabs some shredded cheese. "I have ham and different vegetables."
