[OOC] P2e - Threshold of Knowledge

I don't know if it's actually my turn in the initiative lol, but I figure I might as well introduce myself before we get started :)

Hey everyone! I'm Meri, and I've been playing ttrpgs for about ten years. Never experienced Pathfinder, though, so I look forward to giving it a shot! I'll be playing Vasimiri Gau, an Anadi Thaumaturge who's just a chill dude. Don't worry about his backstory. They're fine. They promise. My favorite thing about roleplaying is exploring dynamics between characters—call me cliché, but I love a found family. I tend to prefer writing platonic bonds, but I'd be willing to venture into romantic relationships as well as long as we establish out of character that that's something both parties would be interested in before bringing it into the roleplay. I also adore wordlbuilding! I read wayyy too much about Anadi lore before making my character haha. The only things not covered by the general rules I'd like to avoid mention of is prostitution/exchanging sex for money.

Sorry for not reading that post properly.

I'm Cleveraptor. This is my very first TTRPG, but I've been taking part in forum RPGs since I was in middle school (I'm turning 29 next month). I'll be trying to figure out my way around TTRPGs, so please feel free to hit me with critique or suggestions OoC. As for Alwin, he's rather reserved and tends to be uncomfortable talking face to face with people. He's much more comfortable around animals, and has learned how to tell how they're feeling based on body language. He has raised his groundhawk (Deinonychus) familiar Erastil from a hatchling; to a certain degree, Erastil can be something of an emotional support animal, and Alwin may pet the dinosaur when he's feeling uncomfortable.

As a note to the group, I'm going to try to be pretty responsive with rolls and the like. If you want to take a closer look at something, Seek, Recall knowledge, and the like, just say so in your post and roll where appropriate (a recall knowledge check is a secret roll which mean's it's done by the Storyteller, not the player, for instance).

Things might get tricky once we get into combat when we need everyone to spend three actions doing something, but the outcome of your first action may dicate what you do for your second and third actions. I'm hoping that we won't get too bogged down in encounters, but we'll just have to see how it goes!

I'm going to be posting pictures of battlemaps like I would if we were sitting at a table together. To that end, would you all please customize a token on this website (free): tools.2minutetabletop.com

To use this link, just put some search terms like "elf witch" in the top search bar and something should come up. Then you can tweak the colors to your heart's content.



When you have the token, you can either reply in OOC or PM me the image and I can load it into Foundry to place your character on the map for the combat.

I'll only use maps for encounters, that way we're not chained to it, but I feel like it could help with orienting where characters and enemies are on the battlfield.
