She nods and motions towards the door, "We have a media room you may use. Dante...you can go share information with Aura and chi if you would like. I will have someone track down the reports of that one guild, sometime after seeing whats on this pin"

Dante bowed and said “as you with my lady” he vanished and Bane stood up and said “shall we pup?” Ash glared a little and said “would you stop with the nickname?” Bane chuckled and walked out with Astra and muttered “can’t help it. Most are pups to me”

Dante appeared in the kitchen and said “I have news”

Astra nodded, "there are few long living races.."

Chi looked up from his can of tuna, "Hm?"

Bane nodded and said “yes…sadly most go hide in the wilderness now…hard to truly find someone who gets it” ash watched the pair with her head tilted. They made it to the media room and Ash started setting up the feed. Bane said “how long did it take to build this place?”

Dante explained all that happened and Aura was making pasta for everyone. “She must be a half blood then…only way this could happen”

"The forest...yes, its much the same for some of the older elves, and some young ones that follow them." she sighs, "It might be hard for them to keep their groups going too, but i wish them luck."

She is quiet as Ash works, slipping itno thought, then looks back at bane as he continues conversation, "I heard it took a decade to set up the noise dampeneing spell and dig the initial bunker. We've expanded since then, and I took over two generations later. They said it would be good to have someone like me in charge, able to keep fighting for hundreds of years if I need to"

Chi stays silent, slowly eatng his tuna with a fork as he listens, "oh half bloods...they always have it hard."

Bane glanced over and asked “so you’re a dark elf? I haven’t had the pleasure in quite some time…” he moved and took her hand, kissing the top of it. “General Bane Clawson, at your service”

Ash smirked as she listened, knowing Bane was just that much of a gentleman. When she spoke he said “so you didn’t start this guild? You took over its goals. Very impressive and honorable to say”

Aura nodded and said “the poor tinker…and not having another to show her how her powers are meant to work? No wonder she’s so stressed out”

The leaders eyes widen some and she blushes as he takes her hand to kiss, "Um...well. Thank you. But I'm mostly sylvan, with some dark elf ancestry...you honors me though, with your words, general. My name is Astra Sylfaren...please" the bluesh deepenes slightly, but its apparent she does know some old customs well enough.

"thats how it usually is right? thats why its hard to be a half-blood. i heard neither side can help you much."

Bane smiled warmly and bowed his head. “It is a pleasure my lady. I must also thank you for saving my life. You took a chance on me. I will do all I can not to betray that”

Ash cleared her throat as the feed was up and playing, the guild master showing on the screen. “Got it up. Is that a guild master?”

Aura said “most of the time the children have a period to train with the parents. But by the sound of it Ash never got that chance”

She turns as ash clears her throat, then looking at the screen."Yes, that is a guild master. Ari Centura. supposedly heis guild focuses on the well being of those with animal like lineages, werewolves included. And they push for reforms for a better life.... but they also have been showing an interest in historical documents, getting some of them through some...grey means."

Chi hums, and then shrugs, "Well Astra might help"

Bane nodded and said “what I can’t understand is why come after me? What good would I have done for them? And what documents have they been gathering?”

Aura nodded and said “maybe I can find another fae. One that’s close”

"They arent the only forces acting within the city...but their interest ranges from texts on ancient civilizations, to old robotics patents, to old building codes of the city...we helped thwart an attempt to obtain the original map of the city once. As for your involvement...its difficult to tell who their true target is, bane...you, or our little tinker. You are both remarkable people in the city."

Chi nods, finishing his tuna and rinsing it out, before going to go bother Aura, watching over her shoulder for a moment, before looking over at Dante, "Dante, when was the last time you ate? you've been holding yourself back, havent you?"

Bane sighed and said “I thought I kept our relationship under wraps…I’m sorry pup” ash looked over and said “it’s not your fault Bane. It’s theirs. And it’s one they will answer for”

Bane looked at her and said “ash…does this mean you’re joining the fight?” Ash nodded, a fire burning in her eyes now. “They went after you and tried to kill you…and they went after me around others who had nothing to do with it…people are getting hurt. I’m done hiding.”

Dante blinked, surprised a bit. “I…I am a gentleman. I can push out my feeding needs…” Aura looked over and said “only if necessary Dante. These are not one of those times. Be honest, when was it?” Dante looked away, looking uneasy. Aura turned and frowned. “Chi? When was the last time you smelled blood on him?”

"Well, that sounds pretty determined. The Black Suns will do what we can, " she turns back to Bane and smile softly, "But we are darkness"

Chi paused to think and eventually can only shrug helpessly, "Ive been out talking to people, and then got caught up in this mess...I dont know, I just know he's been acting like he does when hes hungry"

Ash smiled and her shadows moved around her like spirits. “As I am now…if I’m meant to use these powers for the good of the city…then so be it” bane watched her stunned by this change.

Dante tilted his head and asked “and how do I act when I’m hungry dear Chi?” Aura slowly raised her hands and said “easy Dante…just want to help.”

Astra smiles a bit more, "how do you feel now? determined...confdent too? can you feel your shadows too?"

Chi doesnt seem too bothered, huming in thought, "...hm... you keep more physical distance, your movements feel more intention, and you make more offers to drink..." he blinks, "...im not producing blood that you can eat right now...but maybe later"

Ash blinked and looked down at them around her. “Yes but…I don’t understand how.” Bane suddenly moved to her and sniffed her shoulder, his eyes glowing gold a moment. “Interesting…I smell fae magic on you pup…seems whoever your linked to decided to trigger your magic themselves…”

Dante blinked and said “no I’m fine. Really. I appreciate the concern but I really am alright. Now I’ll go check the border. Let our lady know would you” then he vanished. Aura frowned and said “his not feeding Chi…your right. His paler…well by a vampire standard. Your right. Something is up”

"Hm...conveniant. " astra hums and shrugs, " so, what do you want to do? if you want to return to your shop, Im sure our stray friend would follow you. I can send a contracted shadow with you too..." she glances at bane, clearly asking him a similar question, but its left unspoken.

CHi stand awkwardly, "...I dot really want to have to spy on him..."

Bane thought as he rested his fingers to his chin. “I think we better stay here tonight. It’s dark already and I bet the shop and my office are being watched…I want to get this guild out of the way before Ash goes out alone again. I feel they went after me to take out a protection for her.”

Ash nodded and said “and I can help here as well. I’m sure in the scrap yard there’s some bots laying around I can make useful”

Aura sighed and said “what do you think we should do? Spying on him is nearly impossible”

He nods, "well...we have a couple rooms already made up that you can take" she pauses to shake her head, thinking about how aura almost seemed to see this coming. "Ill have a shadow beast posted outside your doors, incase something happens.

"nearly" he nods, "and now he's going to be listening for tails...I dont know what to do"

Aura said “maybe we should tell Astra? She might know how to help. I mean. His been here the longest”

Ash smiled and said “thank you…” Bane nodded and said “shall we go help with dinner then? I heard your fairy speak of it before”

Dante was outside, having checked the gates and seals when he suddenly held his throat, the burning feeling returning harshly. “Not now…please not now…this isn’t the time…”
