He pauses as he is almost done and looks at her, giving a short hum in thought, before finishing up. "No, not a medic... just learned through necessity" he gives her a grin, "you should live, but we'lll need to get you a transfusion soon... I'll have to make a different contract.."

He closes the current one, raising an eyebrow, "...you get attacked often? huh..."

'Didnt hear about that..'he thinks, making note to talk to someone later. But he keeps a cheery demeanor as he deactivated his contract and scrawls a new one into the air, ".... official hospital, or back alley?"

Ash flinched again and said “there’s a clinic…I can’t go to the main hospital because people I don’t want to find out will…it’s the Snake Eyes…Free clinic…a friend works there…he should still be there…”

She tried to sit up and said “ya…fourth time this month I’ve been hit…they want the cores…”

"Oh yes...snake eyes." he nods slowly, beginning the scrawl. Golden script carves itself into the air. "I've seen them around."

At the mention of the cores, his gaze wanders over and around the workshop. But there was very little time for any of that thinking stuff, so her opens the portal with a flashy sacrifice of magic and a bit of will. The other side already showed a few people looking towards them from the otherside.

Without further ado, he sweeps her off her feet and into his arms, so that he can carry her thorugh, "Come on princess. Let's get your booboos fixed, and a bit more life put in ya"

Ash felt his furry arms around her as her vision started to tunnel and said “thanks…your soft…feels nice…” then her head fell against his chest as they walked thru the portal, blacking out.

A naga was at the front desk, a male with purple and bright green scales. He looked up and said “Lady Ash? What the heck happened?”

He kept his smile, even as she blacked out against him. She could rest, he thought, and surely we will have gotten here in time to get her fixed up. Plus he liked the compliment, even if she gave it while a bit loopy.

Turning his attention to the naga, he answers without polite greeitngs, "um...bot with guns. SHe's bled out a bit, and could use some blood...do you have a file on her here? and...a place for me to set her down?"

The naga moved from behind the desk and said “yes I do. For both. This way” he led him to the back room with a bed and medical set up. “Lay her there, I’ll get her file. I think she has a few bags of blood left…might need to charge the mana in it though…”

He carefully shuffles along, making sure not to jostle his cargo too much. Nodding with quiet thanks, he gently sets Ash down, arranging her limbs to be easier to access for the doctor or nurse seeing her.

He looks t the nurse and nods, "Ive got some mana left in me, if you need it"

The Naga smiled and said “thanks we might. Hold on” he moved to the door and a called “doctor! We need you!” After a few minutes a female naga came in and said “oh dear not again…” she moved to Ash’s side and said “what happened this time? Did they hit her shop again” she turned to Chi and held out her hand “Doctor Viper. And who might you be?”

He nods soe as the nurses do nurse things and the doctor comes in. Still being rather cheery, despite any concerns he may have, he greets the doctor with a handshake as well. "You can just call me Chi. I kind of crashed at her place and we both got caught up in...i guess what you call a raid. I did some wrapping, but Im pretty sure she needs some blood" he nods back to Ash. Cheery, but still down to business.

Viper moved over and started checking Ash over and said “you did a nice job here. Let’s get her hooked up with blood. Her blood. We need to check if the mana is still good” the nurse nodded and left the room. Viper looked at him and asked “so…why help her?”

The tiger man casually shifted to be more human like, but with pointy ears, and those still purpleish silver streaks across his skin. His cheeriness faded a little into something more passive as he watched the process start. He looked curiously at the doctor as she questioned his motives, and he gave a lazy shrug and a faint smirk, before crossing his arms and leaning against whatever was around, "You'd help someone who took a bullet for you, wouldn't you?"

Viper raised an eyebrow and said “she took a show for you? That’s interesting…” she moved to check the wound and said “sounds like something she would do…too selfless this girl is…” the nurse came back and said “there’s no mana charge in the blood bags…”

"Yes...Its nice to meet someone actually good. Well, if she truely is. She's got a good track record anyways."

Hearing about the blood packs, he sighs and holds a hand out. Sprouting a cat-like tail, it waves and twitches in annoyance behind him, eventhough he looks completely calm and slightly smug on the outside- he holds a hand out, " Give me the bags, I'll pour in a good charge"

The nurse blinked unsure but the doctor nodded. “Thank you. We are down to one mana charging fridge and Ash said not to worry…” she handed him the bags and sat down. “She’s part Fae so mana is important to her healing…”

[Crawkid]

He reached for the bags, humming, "...if she's fae, then she shouldnt tell people to not worry about mana here. Thats just silly." he gives a small, fond smirk though. Then with a deep breath, he focuses on the bags in his hands, infusing them with all of the mana he can muster. AFter a moment, he tiredly hands them back, looking around for a place to sit. "...that's all I have"

Viper said “she was more worried about other patients. She’s a rare blood type, can’t go to anyone else…she didn’t want the space used up” she hung the bags and hooked Ash up with an IV.

“Thank you for your help. This will do nicely…” she looked back at Chi and asked “so what did the Bots go after this time? Last time they attacked her at a market festival”

He wrinkles his nose at the description of her reckless selflessness "yea...well tell her that her selflessness still costs something"

Still feeling tired, he decides the problem is solved in just a matter of time, and continues the conversation with his eyes closed, and a yawn, "...they attacked her shop head on. They didnt say anything, but she told me they were after some cores..."

Viper smiled and said “trust me she knows. She will be trying to make it up to you as soon as she learns how much you helped her. She knows it’s a flaw of hers…”

When he explained she sighed and moved a blanket over Ash. “Dang it…they won’t stop hunting her for her brilliance…she’s the only one who can make life like cores…”

He doesnt immediately respond to the comment about how thie girl knows that she is troublesome, but continues to be. His tail twitches in irritation again, thinking how one should be a bit more self centered if their life is at risk all the time.

"Sure, many of us know that...but I hope you have good security...the adrenaline is wearing off, and mana is low.." He shifts again, but this time it is slower, and it is visible that his form seems to 'melt' into some silvery thick metallic liquid briefly before reforming into what appears to be a normal grey stripey cat, curling up on himself as he falls asleep again.

Viper smiled and said to the nurse “put up the signs. We aren’t taking anyone new while they are here” the nurse nodded and left. Viper smiled at the pair and said “maybe I’m seeing a new beginning…” she walked out and turned out the light.

The next morning sunlight filled the room as the door opened and the nurse from the night before came in. “Mr. Chi? Are you awake? Is Lady Ash?” Ash was still out cold but looking a lot better than she had. Her color returned and her breathing even.
