Unlike before, Chi seemed to sleep lightly. Though he appeared cozy in his cat form, occassionally, an ear would twitch at some sound through the night.

Come the morning, after doing some cursery and unofficial checks on her health himself, Chi was caught by the staff...standing next to Ash's bed with a hand hovering over her face, one finger extended down towards her nose, and shifted into the form of a feather.

Freezing, other than to look over at the nurse, he grinned sheepishly, "...she appears healthy."

The nurse smiled and said “there’s a car out front for her. The royal guard captain is wanting to see her. Seems he heard what happened. But the driver said he can wait till she’s ready to move.” He left the room.

after a few moments Ash stirred and opened her eyes, looking around slowing. “What’s…where…did I end up…”

Chi didnt move the finger the whole time, nodding to the doctor as he spoke and left. THe royal guard, what an interesting meeting. He looks down at her while she was still sleeping, thinking maybe he would like to hang around her more after this.

She began to stir, and he grinned, lowering the feather-finger. "You ended up in that clinic you asked for and passed out for the rest of the day." he lowers the finger even more, wiggling the feather against her nose, "apparently the captain of the royal guard wants to see you. Even sent a car out to get you. How spiffy."

Ash blinked and sad Chi over her. Then she sneezed from the feather and sat up. “Royal…oh, it must be Bane. It’s a friend…his the one who had my medical bot for training. He must have been by the shop…” she turned to start to get up saying “I should go…out there. Don’t want to make them wait…” she was shaky at first, holding her head as she stood. “Are you alright?”

"Better than you are!" he says cheekily, stepping back with a momentary smirk, his finger-feather shifting in a more normal digit. WIth a stretch and a yawn, he files away the information, and readies himself to get going, "...Just a bit low on mana...and hungry! Heh, I bet you are too. lets get your friend to buy us a bite to eat"

Ash smiled and said “knowing him the driver is taking us to his pub…he owns the Talons Wish downtown…not open for breakfast but he would cook for us. He cooks to calm down and relax” and then she paused and asked “wait…why are you low on mana?”

"Even better, he won't complain about his wallet then." He chuckles at his own joke, moving to stand by the door for when she is ready, shrugging off her question when it comes "Who knows, I wont tell you...I already told someone else to do it." He smirks again

Ash blinked in confusion then started to step towards him but her foot lagged a moment making her trip and stumbled into the wheeled chair and aimed for the floor.

The nurse was waiting at the front desk and looked out to see a huge figure opening the doors and the nurse swallowed. “Sir…” the lupin type walked past him and said “she’s taking too long to come to the car…”

"Ope" Since she was falling towards him, he stepped forward to catch her. After a pause, he chuckles softly. "A bit dizzy still, yea? All the more reason to get some food in you."

Slowly, he helps her to stand, straightening her clothes and her hair before nodding. "...presentable."

Ash blushed a little with his help and smiled “ya…honestly not sure when I ate last…” the door opened and the lupin was leaning on the door from. He was huge and muscular, with dark silver hair and bright gold eyes. “You never eat unless your made too. Why am I not surprised you’re here of all places.”

Ash looked around and said “Hey captain Clawson…” The man smirked and said “you know you can call me Bane when I’m not on the job. Which I’m not” he looked at Chi and held out a hand. “Bane Clawson, Captain of the Royal Guard”

Seeing their interaction, Chi raised an eyebrow and smirked slightly. ALmost as if he had already picked up the fact that she might not care for herself unless told to. But he only spoke up when he was addressed, wondering how that would go. Would he be shoo'd off like a dirty stray, or would this captain just whisk her away without a second though or...?

Or introduce himself politely, apparently.

The smirk turns into a grin, and the shifter reaches out for the hand to shake, "You can call me Chi. Just a lucky new acquaintence, who happened to be there for the attack."

Bane nodded at his explanation and said “I see, well thank you for looking after her. Least I can do is offer a meal for your efforts. Ash?” Ash nodded and stood up fully.

“Thanks Bane…let’s go” bane led the pair out, the nurse waving as they headed out to a military car with the flags of the city on the windows.

Chi just chuckles and nods, "A payment not necessary...but I'll happily accept." He says, then lets the other two go first leading the way. He smiles slightly and wave to the nurse on the way out, "Good job nurse~" His tail waves behind him calmly as he trails after to the car.

He stretches slightly, "...I heard you like to cook though~" he nearly purrs.

Bane opened the door for Ash and said “ya it’s a hobby of mine. I’m a werewolf so food is fuel. Better to have it taste amazing since I have to eat a lot of it” Ash got in and sat, Bane letting Chi in before he got in and sat down.

The driver started moving as Bane asked “are you sure you’re alright Lady Ash?” Ash nodded and said “just a bit sore that’s all…how did the training go?”

“It went fine stop changing the subject. Chi?” He looked at the Neko “can you tell me what happened last night?”

"Now that's a great philosophy" he nods, getting in with them and making himself comfortable, looking out the window a bit while the other two had a back and forth. But his ear twitches, and he looks over as he is addressed again, "Hm..? Oh." he grins a bit awkwardly, "Well, I came crashing into the miss's shop, drunk from a meeting with friends. She didn't make a fuss or anything, just gave me a place to sleep it off. Then she went to the door, and i heard her talking to someone in a not-so-friendly tone, right?

So I goes to check it out. And its one of them black robots, come to start things by shooting. Ah....well it was gunna shoot me too, but then she took the hit. I pulled her inside, the bot followed, and she activated something to destroy the thing. After that, I gave her some dressing and asked her where she wanted to go."

Bane listened to his story, pulling out a small beetle like device to sit on his shoulder and a small light on the back lit up. Ash watched and said “you’re using my bug?”

Bane smirked and said “yes, I see your point about it making interviews a lot easier for me. Black bots? That means it’s the same guys who keep targeting you Ash…”

Ash sighed and nodded, rubbing her shoulder absentmindedly. “I know Bane…but what can I do? I can’t hire security, and I can’t let anyone get their hands on the cores…”

Bane looked at Chi and said “she is the only mind that has figured out almost true life like power cores. All her machines have them. She’s being targeted by someone who wants to steal the designs or something of the like. We just don’t know why”

He smiles slightly, his tail waving behind him slowly, "Yes, I know who she is~"

A light chuckle, "I've had people explain to me about her cores already. It sounds interesting, and very useful. We're lucky they haven't succeeded, imagine those bots with a core of life, hm? Bot soldiers with the ability to think for themselves, without the use of contracts." he nods at his own words and leans back, with a yawn and a look of self satisfaction. "ALmost like we just got a glimpse of an internal war about to brew over~"

Ash sighed as Bane looked at him closely. “And what do you mean by that? You seem to be more in the know how then you have let on…what exactly is your story? And I’m more curious about why you stuck around last night…”

Ash looked up and said “Bane come on. Not everyone is a threat. He was just at the right place at the right time…”

He holds his hands up in a calm unthreatening manner, "Im only half-guilty I swear. Just your friendly neighborhood cat, I am. BUt I really was drunk last night, I really mean to go home, and I accidently went to her shop instead. You know, looking back on it, its a bit embarrassing"

Bane frowned more and said “and how did you get by her magic seals she has placed on her home?” Ash glared at Bane and said “alright that’s enough. Drop it won’t you? He helped me. That’s all that should be taken into consideration right now. Why did you want to see me anyway?”

Bane looked at her and said “you weren’t the only one attacked last night. Just the only one who got out breathing”
