Chi growls slightly, moving away even as his body was in flux, another possible sign of his chaotic emotions. "I thought I was."

It could be a strange sight for people unfamiliar with shifters, maybe even some shifters may find it odd. Finally, he tucked himself into a corner, a humanoid panther with large bat ears and several tails.

"Well, I will leave it up to her to figure out what she feels like she needs...I can put on some tea. Chi might be a bit, if he was as spontaneous as Aura said, and he ran off...he might not even understand how he feels."

Bane chuckled and said “I’m sure you were. I’m sure this is not at all your fault. I mean that. She will likely tell you the same thing later on. She probably feels a lot worse than you do right now. Never known her to storm off though…must have really made herself mad”

Dante nodded hen remembered she couldn’t see him. “I agree. She’s beating herself up pretty good…” suddenly Dante’s senses went off and he moved forward, his eyes glowing red. Ash looked up and said “Dante? What’s up?” He held up a hand, trying to listen. Something was coming. He could hear it. They were on the other side of the yard, opposite of Bane and Chi.

“Ash, are you recovered?” “I think so. Why?”

Dante pulled out a blade from his back that suddenly appeared and said “I hear something heading right for us” he said it out loud and in his mind link with Astra.

Chi doesn't have much to say, his many tails still flickering from side to side. Yet, his anger starts to simmer down, giving way to his hurt and confusion.

Astra stands up straighter when she hears Dante being more serious and expecting action, "Aura, perhaps you have your own frustrations to work out? Dante says we have company."

She heads over to a hidden spot in the wall that all trusted members know about, pushing a button. Suddenly, the noise suppression shield doubles in strength, protecting the scrapyard from having its skirmishes be heard from the city around it. Some red lights begin to flash throughout the scrapyard, and several people run out of the base, and take up places within the hills of junk.

Chi's bat ears stand up straight, and he half-stands up, shifting into a much buffer panther man with natural skin armor and grows his fangs into saber teeth. "Trouble"

Aura got up and nodded. “Yes. I hate men sometimes. Big babies. Why can’t there be more like Dante or that cute general. Simple and straight forward” she summoned fire to her hands and said “just point then out to me boss”

Bane looked over and then the sound hit his ears. He moved up and put the cigar in his mouth and said “some action huh? Sounds good” he pulled out the rod from his fight before and his axe appeared again, magic floating around it. “Shall we go burn off some steam?”

Ash looked at Dante as he walked out seeing the security kicking into place. Ash moved with him and said “any idea what it is?”

Dante was listening closely and had his eyes closed. “Metal…engines…small ones…around ten objects…”

Ash cursed and said “the bots that attacked the shop. How did they find me?” Dante shook his head. “I don’t think they did. Most likely they traced their friends we are holding in the basement. Astra? You ready?”

"Have you thought that maybe he was straight forward, and you were over thinking it?" Astra asked her, before directing her along with the other residents of the base as they went up in formations. She started putting on her armored jacket. "Yes, Dante. Im on my way, your squad should be there soon."

Right after she said that, a group of pale skinned people in black leather walk up to Dante. Their leader, clearly another vampire, bows to him "Sir."

"Sounds good...dont mind me being a bit blood thirsty" Chi says, before rushing forward with some of the other people moving to protect chi and bane were, incase some people sneak up later.

Aura said “I wasn’t over thinking it! I was trying to explain to him where she was coming from. But he didn’t let me finish! Why don’t men let you finish!”

Dante glanced back and smiled “evening my brothers. Seems we have unwanted guests coming. Would you mind handling the greetings?” He looked to a younger fang and asked “Will you watch over Ms Ash during the fight? She must not be taken or harmed. Understand?”

Bane nodded and said “don’t mind it at all” he saw the others and bowed his head. “General Bane, at your service. Tell me where you want me”

"Because he was already hurt, probably" she waves aura off, "now lets go meet our *unwanted* visitors" She starts, headed up with her own sword.

The leader vampire straightens and grins with his fangs, "We are always happy to fight with you sir." And with that, most of them fanned out to take on individual bots with a 1v1, hard and fast approach.

The young vampire addressed nods, "With my life, of course." and stands quite close to her, "Miss, I'll be keeping an eye on you, stay close."

Most of the men rush forward with Chi, but some men hang back, with a number of them stationing at the top of the stacks.

"...General Bane?" a chuckle from the darkness as a young looking man walks towards them "I heard we had some high profile guests, but I was not expecting you." He comes to stand by Bane, looking him over, "Before we get cozy, let know know how you're feeling. Physically, mentally...I notice Chi is unusually aggressive today..."

Aura blinked and said “wait what do you mean boss?”

Dante looked at Ash and said “I trust these fangs with my own life. They will keep you safe. Just listen to what they say alright?” Then Dante took off after the others and Ash turned to the young fang. She nodded and held out her hand to him. “Ash Shade. Let me know if I can help alright? I can fight…” she moved to her waist then froze. “Crap. I think my pistols are still in that room I woke up in”

Bane rolled his neck and said “ya, his had a busy day. And had to deal with my friend who is not great at talking to others. He just needs to burn off some anger. I’m alright. Physically I’m okay just a little sore. Mentally…” he paused and looked at the young man. “Why do you ask?”

Astra pauses right before leaving the base, taking a moment to think. "They were trying to have a conversation, from what you said he said that she wasnt understanding him and tried to stop the misunderstanding that was happening. its a bit dramatic but...think of it like... when she insulted him, she slapped him. or kicked him. And then you agreed with her, so you also slapped him." she shrugs, " and then she ran off, but he stayed...and then you slapped him again." she chuckles slightly at her own metaphor, shaking her head.

"Why would you be surprised that he doesn't want to be slapped or kicked anymore?" She pauses and then sighs, " Maybe you would have handled it well. Maybe you could have gotten him to understand. but you're already too late, he has already been hurt. If you want the cat to come back to you, youre going to have to prove that youre not going to kick him again."

She opens the way out, "Also, when we are being seiged is not the time to demand my attention on your interpersonal matters. I gave you several chances to understand that. Get out there and fight."

The young man tilts his head, "Because you'd be a new piece to me. I know your name. ANd I know some of your deeds...but I dont know you, general. Now if youre feeling like you need it, you can go out on the attack. If youre fine here, then I would like to use your enhanced senses to detect anything coming at us and keep an eye on the field."

The young vampire frowns some, looking over the battle field, then nods. "It would be safe for you to go underground to retrieve them. It would be safer for you not to participate, but I wont stop you."

Aura tilted her head and then frowned. “You think I’ll be able to fight not knowing why he was pissed. That’s not fair boss.” She rushed out and yelled “just cause you’re an elf doesn’t mean you understand everything too! He slapped her back just as hard when he spoke to her that way! You didn’t see her face!” She burst into flames and into her sprite form and launched fire at the incoming bots.

Bane nodded and said “I’ll help hold the line. Use me in anyway you see fit” he looked around and his eyes glowed gold. “Fifteen. Black fighting bots. High class.”

Ash shook her head and said “I want to help. Maybe…” she held out her hand and her eyes glowed silver. Shadows started to form and gather then took shape of animals. They ran out to attack the nearby bots and ripped them apart.

Ash panted but smiled at her work. “See? I can help…”

Astra stops by the door, her expression falling into more of a blank slate as aura ran off. Then the sighs, "Seems I got slapped too."
She shakes her head and walks through the scrap yard, "Ridiculous. Childish."

Knowing that the side with Dante should be well handled, she headed to the other end "Jeb, report!"

The one who spoke to Bane stoof up straighter, "Boss. short range are on the attack, Chi is helping them
. I have one of the guests here lending me his skills. Long range are in position."

She nods and smirks, "Thank you Jeb, but I suspect you mean that our fighters are helping Chi instead."

One of the robots is torn nearly in half and thrown up in the air.

"...I do believe he is angry" She sets a hand on the young mans shoulder, "Remember that when the night is done. I know you two don't get along the best"

He tenses, "Yes ma'am."

She turns to Bane, "General, how well handled does it look here?"

The young one with Ash watched her use her shadows, and though her quick tiredness concerned him, his expression did soften "I see. But lets go get your guns in any case."

Bane looked over and said “Jen and I have things handled. I’m letting him know changes in the attack cycle. And Dante has a Fang aiding Ash which was smart. She is using her shadows so they won’t last long on this fight…” but he wasn’t smiling. He said “but something is odd with this attack…too upfront. I feel like there’s a piece we haven’t seen yet”

Ash said “don’t need to…already got it handled” the ferret bot from before appeared, her guns on its back. Ash smiled and said “always have a plan…”

Dante was cutting the boys down with his saber without hesitation but he was on the same page as Bane. Something about this wasn’t sitting right with him.

She nods, "They might be observing us...keep on high alert. Jeb, have another man put his eyes on the sky." She commands, and then jogs off, as if she suddenly has to be somewhere. She goes back into the base, going down to check on the prisoners...keeping a sense for the floor, to see if she feels vibrations of any kind.

The fang with ash blinks and smiles, impressed. "very well, then feel free. I will protect you if you need it. Just be careful." His eyes begin to glow red as he looks forward and waiting to see what she will do as he keeps his senses high around them.

the ones fighting with dante take down theirs and then gather back with dante to keep the offencive defence going.

Men communicate as they attack around Chi, but he hasnt been saying anything, just tearing up whatever bot he got his clawed hands on.

Bane nodded then said “we should get eyes on Ash…I have a bad feeling that she’s their target”

Ash was firing her pistols now at the nearby bots when a shadow flew to her and landed on her shoulder, taking shape of a small song bird. She listened to it closely and said “That’s odd. There’s something heading for the wall where Dante and his team are at. What’s over there?”

Dante was finishing off the last when he heard the thundering sound of wheels and then a power coil charging. He turned fast and yelled “everyone down!” He flung out his hands and a red aura shot out to protect his men when a blast came thru the wall and hit his barrier but the two energies reacted causing an explosion that went sky high.

Ash turned and yelled “Dante!”

As the blast comes their way, the one with Ash steps infront of her, even as they are protected by dante. He also yells out, "My prince!"

Jeb hears Bane and nods, and contemplates who to send. But before he can make his decision, the explosion has happened. All the men stop for a moment before the fighting continues. But chi grows even more more of a beastly ferocious force and charges in that direction. Jeb is stunned, "...looks like that's our man. If she's their target, you can go too if you want. We are probably an after thought at this point, so we can hold our own."

Seeing nothing underground at the moment, and feeling reverberations from above, Astra uses her wind and shadow magic to travel quickly back up, appearing in Jeb's shadow. "What was that?"

Bane glanced back and said “a blast just went off where Dante’s group was at. Seems a power blast reacted to Dante’s barrier. You better get over there. I’ll stay with Jeb and get the yard resecured” he looked at the young man and said “Ash will call if she needs aid.”

Ash grabbed his arm to keep him upright then said “let’s go. We should make sure his alright”

Aura had been in the air the whole time and gasped at the sight. “Dante!” She flew down and was flying next to Chi. “I’m going to burn them into charcoal if they hurt him! No one hurts my family!”

The sight looked like a bomb went off. The bots caught in it were melted husks. The fangs had been shielded but sent flying from the blast. Dante was laying it he middle of the zone, covered in burns and his eyes closed. The bot that sent the blast was rolling in, a huge tank like machine with eyes and arms. It moved towards Dante and moved to grab him.

But a shadow took the limb out like a knife thru a tree branch. Ash stood a few yards away with the young fang next to her. “Get away from him! I wont let you touch him!” She was shaking with rage, her eyes glowing silver. The shadows around them were taking form but not like the simple animals Ash was used to. No, these were monsters and beasts of nightmares coming forth, growling and hissing. A cloak of pure shadows were wrapping around Ash, like a mantle of power.

Astra nodded and with some wind magic, headed that way quickly next.

Chi had no obvious response to Aura, instead he bulldozed forward. Growing in size as her travels he eventually reach them and attacked from the side, this big black creature now half the size of the machine. WIth loud ferocity, he attacks the thing.

The vampire along side Ash, however, uses the moment to rush to dante's side and pull him away. He doesnt know it yet, but her powers begin to affect him too.

Astra shows up, landing nearby, "Dante?"

On his end, Jeb smiles slightly and stands next to Bane, ready to meet the enemy "I take it she's a fire cracker, huh?"

Aura landed on the other side and said “Chi! Take cover!” She blasted the machine with her flames, making sure not to hit Chi with them.

Bane nodded and pulled the cigar from his mouth and slipped it away. “Oh yes…it’s been a bit since she’s gotten this mad…this should be interesting”

Ash made sure to cover the fang as he pulled Dante to safety, the prince unconscious and in bad shape. Ash glanced over, her eyes all silver “is he alright?”

When she saw how bad he was she growled and turned back to the tank and walked forward, the cloak of shadows gathering around her like a protective animal mother would her cub. She flicked her hand and a huge shadow slammed hard into the tank, pinning it to the ground. “Get out here! I know there’s a breathing soul in there! Get out here and face your sins!”

As the blast was headed for him, chi curled up in a defensive ball.

The young vampire looks up concerned, first to Ash, and then to Astra "He lives, but it's bad."

As the shadow beasts build up, Chi hisses lowly, backing up and keeping his eyes on the tank. Its a long wait, but the lid of the tank eventually pops open. One can see flashing red lights going inside it too and a beeping sound. The person that crawls out is a really skinny and scaly reptilian man. He puts his hands up slowly as he climbs to stand by the tank, but he doesnt look too worried.

Astra frowns slightly, worried about any tricks but also distracted, shuddering as some of her own shadow magic is drawn in towards Ash.

Jeb creates a magic circle and then slips his hand into a ripple in the air, pulling out two very large knives, "Gotta love a girl that can defend herself....ready to clean up?"

Bane held up a hand to the lad, seeing the man coming out. “Not yet…I think that’s some kind of Naga…snake person…but why on earth would they be helping these guys?”

Ash moved forward and said “do you give up? Or do I need to show you just how upset you’ve made those here?” Aura was a fire ball now ready to burn anything to a crisp.

Dante was shaking on the ground, turning his head a bit from the pain.
