She hums, considering the wolf's question as she yawns and slides into the bed. Once she was somewhat comfortable, she turns to him, "Actually, since youre offering. Could you stay? You were...really comfortable, in a way I haven't felt in a long time."

He sighs, "I will escort you to look at Dante if you ant, even your friend Bane. Other than that, I recommend you do not offer any more help, and let us handle it." He pauses, his expression softens, "or, what I mean to say...I am willing to help you put your mind at ease, but I believe you have no more help to give. You are a tapped well, young lady."

Beta nodded and jumped onto the bed and curled around her and laid down. “I’m happy to help. Don’t worry, I’m not supporting the heir so me staying won’t hurt her”

Ash sighed then nodded softly. “Ya…I am…” she carried Chi and followed Jacob. First they checked on Bane who was asleep in the bed with Aira watching over him. With him fine they went and checked on Dante who was asleep and looked a lot better. Ash smiled as they left but looked tapped out totally at this point. She looked at Jacob and said weakly “is…that…everyone?”

Astra chuckles, her voice lowering to just above a whisper as the tiredness hits her harder, "I must be easy to read then, if you know my worries so easily" she yawns again and settles in more, feeling the pull of a heavy sleep.

Jacob remains quiet for most of the walk, keeping his attention mostly on the tinkerer, even as they visit other people. Though, he appeared genuinely relieved as they visited Dante, and saw that he was better and recovering. As she turned to him, he smiles softly, "It is all the worst cases. All the bumps and bruises, and all of the scrapes and scratches. They've all been addressed. Even the lady Astra, to my ears, has gone down to rest." He turns more fully towards her, "Little lady, it appears, all that is left to attend to, is your own health."

Beta curled closely and said softly “I can read shadows too…” he yawned and closed his eyes to rested.

Ash blinked hard and said “what about Chi…is he okay?” She swayed a bit, the shadows returning to her and she felt the drain now.

He looked at her amused, "He is fine enough to walk."

The meow that chi gives sounds indignant, but the vampire chuckles again, "I do believe he has enjoyed being carried enough, but it is up to you. ow, would you like to follow me to your room, or do you need me to carry you as well?" The offer is given softly and genuinely, not a hint of mockery at all, just concern.

Ash looked down at him but before she could talk a shadow came from hers and took shape of another wolf. He moved and took Chi from her arms with his tail and put him on his back. Then the wolf said “my lady?” Ash blinked hard as Chi was pulled from her arms then she said “I don’t think…” then she swayed hard to the left.

Jacob moves slightly, just enough to act as a living pillar for her to lean on, and rests a hand on her shoulder, "If I may be so bold, perhaps you have pushed yourself past the point of thinking of anything but rest. If you'll excuse me..." he leans down to pick her up.

Ash nodded weakly, her vision blurred as she tried to say “I haven’t been this tired in a long…time…not since…making my first cores…took so much out of me…seeing the new life made…” she felt his arms wrap around her and then her eyes closed and she passed out against his chest.

The wolf looked at Chi and said “I am alpha. Have no fear. I came to aid the heir. Do you wish to follow her?”

Jacon couldn't help the slight smile, watching her so quickly pass out in his arms. From there, he looked at the wolf and then walked off to return Ash to the bedroom that still had her lingering scent on it from when she first came there. It would be a short jaunt to that location, where he gently sets her down and even tucks her in like a child.

Chi slowly elongates to a larger cat, and shifts his vocal chords and mouth to communicate better, "I am Chi. I would not mind following her. I'm not in any shape to be doing much anymore. I need sleep."

Alpha nodded and followed Ash and Jacob. When she was laid down she sighed and her body relaxed. Alpha moved to the bed and jumped onto it to lay by her side. “Thank you sir. She is a stubborn one”

Jacob meerly straightens up and gives a solumn nod to the wolf, before following u with a faint smile, "Well yes, it seemed that way to me. But not to worry, I deal with her type all day, everyday...or night" he chuckles at his own humor, before walking over and turnig off the lights, "Good night everyone. Rest well."

And then there was the click of the door shutting.

The night went peacefully for the few hours left in it. Soon it was later in the morning when Bane started to wake up and groaned, sitting up and feeling his body was stiff but feeling recovered.

Jacob and Jeb were still awake, sitting out in the halls, watching over everyones rooms. Jeb was doing paperwork on a clipboard, Jacob seemed to just be sitting in a chair, staring into nothingness. In truth, all of his senses were strained to their extreme as he is on duty.

In her room, Astra stirs and stretches with a pleasant morning groan, then runs to her side and hugs onto the warm wolf next to her, soon slipping back into a peaceful sleep.

Chi remains curled up with the alpha wolf, and Ash...but he is awake. The events of the last few days play in his memory. Not long ago, he was running the scrapyard and alleyways untethered, gathering information as the often overlooked stray cat or generic face in the crowd. Now he has been in constant conflicts for the last couple days. He looks over at the tinkerer as he thinks, remembering aura's words. That she is lonely, and needs to know that she is wanted for more than her creations.

How annoying..

He stretches and hops down from the bed.

Her mindset...sacrificing herself for others, thinking only about their wellbeing, while also keeping them far away under the assumption that they just want to use her.

Its such an annoyingly confusing mindset...it couldn't have come from anywhere good.

Maybe that was why he felt the strange insistant drive to protect her? Or was it really just that she kept saving his life?

He exits the room, shfiting into his usual humanoid form, clearly at full health again, and stretches with a yawn. "Oh...youre still up Jeb?"

The young man looks up from his clipboard and nods, prompting Chi to grin "She must really be pushing you"

"The enemy is on the move, and they know where we are. We have to move, and while Dante is down, Im taking on the information netwrok too..."

Jacob looks over, "Luckily, with the light sickness taken care of, Dante will be able to work to his heart's content soon"

Beta purred a bit then curled closer to her and watched her sleep a little. He really liked this elf. He hoped the Heir would let him stay with her for a time.

The door opened and Aura came out with Bane now recovered. He looked around and said “hey lads. How are things this morning?” Aura jumped around and hugged Jeb. “Hey sweetie. Where’s the others?”

Bane glanced over at Chi and said “glad to see you looking a lot better”

Ash was still passed out, shaking a bit with a cold sweat going.

Jeb sighs, allowing himself to look tired for a moment, "We aren't used to direct combat, so I let everyone rest for now, while I settle on where to move us."

Chi hums, giving Bane a smile, "You too...guess we're both hard to kill." he laughs a little

Jacob smiles slightly, giving Bane a nod of respectful greeting. Then he pauses, "Hm...I smell sweat." He looks over at Bane meaningfully. Chi looks over at the vampire, then bane, then back into the room he had just left, "...Ash?"

Bane chuckled then looked at Jeb. “If you need a safe haven I have a place the guild can use. It’s on the edge of the city and it’s under my family name. And it’s huge”

Bane then sniffed the air and said “that’s her alright. But why?”

Aura moved to the door and opened it a little. “Ash dear?” Ash was breathing a little hard, covered in a cold sweat

Jeb thinks some, then sighs, "If you don't mind, I would ask our leader to do that. There are a few other places we have, but he could benefit from an extra week or two to prepare them better..."

Jacob hums, "Im not sure, nightmares perhaps. You're her friend though, so I assume you would have the best chance to soothe her." He stands u, "In anycase, I should retire before I lose my edge...I think my junior should be ready to take over." He looks at the door to the room next to Ash's, "I gave you enough time, didn't I?"

The door opens immediately, and out steps Peter, quietly shutting the door behind him to not disturb anyone, "Yes sir, thank you for your generosity."

Bane nodded and said “let Astra know in a note and have her find me if she is interested. Chi come on” he went inside when Aura opened the door and moved to Ash’s side. He could hear her mumbling in her sleep and then sighed deeply. “Nightmare…the night her father was killed…dang it we wake her and she might kill someone by accident…”

Jeb holds up the clipboard again, making a small note, nodding, and walking off. WIth a little bit of time, he hung the clipboard frm a discreet nail on the door and went off to go get himself some sleep.

Jacob quietly made the switch with Peter, the younger vampire only relaxing for a short moment after his superior left...then turned his attention to the group inside the room, speaking softly, "If you know how to do it, sir, I can try to use my abilities to infiltrate her dreams and wake her up there."

Bane looked at him and said “might work…just be careful and remember that it’s a dream…from what I know about this nightmare…it’s not one to take lightly. Best place is to find her where she is hiding and get her out of the house. That’s all I really know”
