He stops and blinks, "really?"

A moment of silence, and then a look at blaze, "really?"

He looks back at ash, "tell me. if you fed a stray cat, would expect that cat to deny the food? if you saved someone from being shot dead, would you expect them to just walk away?"

He then breaks out in a dramatic sigh, "What a strange, depressing world you live in that mind of yours..."

Bane smirked and said “he has a point. You’re used to dealing with nasty humans my dear. Those with animals traits like us don’t think the same…”

Ash sighed and waved her fork “alright alright you make a valid point…” she sighed and rubbed her eyes. Bane frowned and asked “headache again?” She nodded and said “off and on for a week now…”

Bane looked at Chi and said “so what do you do? Job wise. I forgot to ask”

Chi nods slowly as bane explains things and lets them have a little back and forth, before turning his attention to Bane as he is addressed, "I wouldnt say I have any official job... I really am just an alley cat.....more specifically, I am a Liquid Shifter, who likes to take the form of cats and cat-like peoples. But my roles is the same. Eat, sleep, survive...and listen to lots of juicy conversations"

Bane chuckled and said “very one with your animal side” Ash smiled and said “a useful skill indeed. Well I guess I don’t have much to worry about…” she drank from her cup and Bane said “indeed. So after your done eating I have to get to the station. Will you be alright on your own getting back Ash?”

She nodded and said “of course”

His eyes sparkle slightly, "I am a simple man...shifter... slime...thing." He chuckles and works on finishing his plate

"eh, I can follow her back. But then its back to the junkyard." he nods with a little smirk

Bane looked confused as he muttered “slime thing?” Ash said “that’s not needed. Really I’ll be fine. I’m finished so I’ll be off. Captain?” She smiled at Bane and got up, patting his shoulder and headed for the door.

“Catch you around Chi…” she vanished out the door.

He shrugs, " some people say I look like a slime."

He watches Ash leave and sighs, " So she admits she's a walking target...but insists that she's fine." He frowns, his hand seeming to shift to a puddle of silvery liquid. It covers his plate and reveals a clean plate when it forms back.

"...but if I follow her, I'm a stalker." He sighs.

Bane smirked and said “she doesn’t like asking for help. Or letting others get hurt helping her. It’s how she’s always been. Nice trick though. Go ahead, I don’t think she will notice. Not with how her mind has been”

Ash was outside looking to cross the street, her mind no where close to where she was.

He hum, casually looking between the guard and her as he seems to start chewing out of nowhere. Finally, he stands. " Well, if I have your permission...I will. But I'd like to talk to you more privately myself. You know the address of the local scrapyard?"

Bane nodded and said “I do. The station is just around the corner from there. When is a good time to meet up?” He stood to get back to work, brushing off his uniform.

"Hmmm I usually nap during the day and prowl at night...so evening hours or early morning if you want me awake." He says, also getting up, keeping his eyes on her as he speaks, his voice is more calm and focused rather than playful and snarky

Bane nodded then said “how about midnight tonight? Will that work? That’s when I get off next”

Ash started to cross the street, weaving around people.

He sucks his teeth, " I can make it work"

And then he is off, leaving the restaurant to hopefully catch up soon. Bane can see him shift into a blood of silvery stuff that looks kind of like a less metallic blob of mercury, and then shift into several large bird forms, trying each one until he manages to take off in flight

Bane watched him closely and said “more interesting by the moment. This will change things” he left to head to the station.

Ash was walking down the road, avoiding people but still in her head working the problem. She was crossing the next road but a car was coming and not listening to the crossing bot.

The bird screeched to himself. What a fool! He had chosen the form of a bird to keep a distance, and thought that she might view anyone or any animal suspiciously. But now he wasn't able to just grab her. Damn it...how has she even survived this long?!

A few thoughts ran through his head but really...none of them were good. if he divebombed the car, itd spin out of cntrol. If he divebombed the crowd, they would panic. if he landing in the middle of the road...yea the car would either spin out of control, or he would get flattened.

The only thing he could do then was to get the girls attention in a none threatening manner...and theres only one way hat comes to his mind...but thats disgusting, so he does the next best thing. This is going to suck.

aiming himself carefuly, he reverts his form back into his true self, a large blob of liquid...and drops. Hopefully onto her shoulder.

From her shirt popped out a small machine ferret who moved out and caught the slime in its curled tail. Ash moved when she felt the weight and then moved fast out the way of the car.

She cursed softly and saw the slime ball and muttered “what on earth…”

The ball of liquid was suprised to be caught. Ok, she was more protected than she looked. But she still almost got ran over.

Not saying anything, he stayed in place, swaying and jiggling much like a dew drop would. After a moment, he jiggled a little and a little blobby appendage raised itself from the rest of his mass and just... waved a little.

This was awkward, he wasn't sure what to do now.

Ash looked at the ball and said “wait a moment I know that aura. Chi? Is this your true form?” She looked around and moved to the alley nearby and set him on the ground. “Good catch Mina. Chi you alright?”

Jiggle jiggle.

Ah right...seeing aura is an ability some people have. How silly of him to forget.

Relieved to be on the ground again, he relaxed and 'melted' into a puddle...before reforming himself into a purple/grey cat, mewoing at her and otherwise appearing energetic and well.

Ash sighed and said “Chi what are you doing here? Are you following me? Did Bane ask you to make sure I got home?” She sighed then smiled. “That old Wolf…more worried about me then himself…”
