APPARENTLY NECESSARY AUTHOR'S NOTE: It has to be inspired by the game, it has BLOODLINES in the title for a reason. Please please please don't offer anything besides the setting and the vibe of the game, that being the y2k big American city with that gothic/punk undertone. I am not a fan of anime character images, I don't like people telling me what kind of character I should play (suggestions are always welcome, but my character is my own, just like your character is your own, this is a ROLEPLAY) and like I said, I want to stick to this particular theme SPECIFICALLY.
I know I sound disgruntled, but the amount of times I got a message requesting a VtM roleplay that has literally nothing to do with my request had me quite disappointed.
I have been anticipating Bloodlines 2 game since its development was announced, and needless to say, it's a fucking dumpster fire and not only will I not buy the game, I will not even watch playthroughs of it. Not only did they create an abomination that lacks any personality, charm and edginess the original had, they proceeded to actually blame the players for having high expectations about the sequel, even trying to gaslight the fanbase about the original game not being as good as we think we remember.
So you're saying that the meme I shared is not true and that people who have dedicated over a DECADE of hard work modding tf out of it was for nothing? Lol, okay.
Regardless, I will be replaying the original game for like 373867th time and I'm looking for a like-minded individual and fan of the franchise to sink our teeth into the universe and enjoy the dark setting to our dark hearts' content.
I am honestly going to be open for discussion about overarching plot, I am more than happy to do a twist on the original storyline. I just want it to take place in real, modern day setting in one of the bigger hubs. As a 90s baby, I am very fond of the 2000s setting and fashion as that's the time of my child and teenhood, ESPECIALLY gothic punk fashion, which is basically the whole point of the franchise, so that's kind of my priority here.
While I'm flexible around the story, here's the stuff I'm not flexible about:
- Your gender and identity won't affect my decision about roleplaying with you, I am just looking for male characters, while I play females.
- You have to have knowledge and understanding of the universe and lore, preferably beyond what the game presents you, as I have been absorbing everything World of Darkness like a sponge, plenty of times I have been a DM, so I will not find it all too enjoyable to write with someone who is unfamiliar with the lore and setting.
- I am looking for writers who can pull multiple paragraphs and descriptive content. I am very big on setting the scene, creating the atmosphere, so I like it when someone would put some effort in writing. I will share my writing sample in private messages,
- Violence, sex, dark content, occult shit, unsavory actions, GIVE IT TO ME! VtM is all about the existential crisis, questions about one's nature, the grit, the grime, the absolute worst parts of humanity, UGH, it's so good. And this also makes it special when there's actual good in the world, which makes it stand out more.
- Romance is more than welcome, always love exploring that elements.
- I may be into all sorts of weird things, but I do love sharing images regarding the roleplay, and considering that this is a gothic punk universe, I will indulge in styling my character from time to time, because let me live and feel some joy in life, mmkay?
- Keep it edgy. I don't mind it getting tastefully cheeky. It's y2k coded, after all <3
