Adam hadn't expected her to start a shower, but it made sense, he supposed. A hot shower was going to warm her up faster than most anything. And the coffee would finish the job from the inside, if she needed it.

Meanwhile, it would give him the space and time to go over everything that's happened in the last half hour. And there was a lot to go over. The mission itself went well. That, he couldn't improve by much. He should have double checked personnel though - he hadn't expected this guy to have a maid.

The hunter kicks himself mentally. What a stupid mistake. He knew the age and history of the house, and its general layout. He knew the type of demon he was taking on. And he even knew their schedule- where and why anyone ever left the house. But next time...he would need to remember to look into everyone that had joined the cult.

He sighs as he takes his cup of coffee while it was still brewing, setting the pot back into place to continue being filled. There's no flavored coffee this time. No bourbon vanilla, no italian sweet creme. No, for a day this full of bullshit, he was going to just make a pot of regular medium roast...and a splash of whiskey.

The thought, along with the simple movements of daily routine, eased his tense shoulders, and allowed his mind to drift. Just for a little while.

Just until Lucy leaves the bathroom again.

The hunter hardly looks up as she stops by to make her request, grabbing a cup and starting to pour, "...How do you like you like your coffee?" he asks with a bit of a flat tone. The tension starts to return to him though. He can't be too lax around her. Good thing he has no intention of sleeping in the same room.
