[IC] The Supernovas

Jack was startled by some kind of commotion outside of his cell, but the sounds were dim, so he figured that it was in a relatively fair distance from where he was. He hypothesized that it had something to do with their group and was afraid that Allen may have lost control again, the worst possible scenario. He knew that they wouldn't be able to stop him without casualties and for what he knew, their team wasn't made from killers. His impatience grew, something rare, which triggered a change. He could feel energy passing through his index finger, albeit different from the one running through his thumb. He didn't know what it was, but he would eventually test it out, as he assumed and he hoped that if Allen went on rampage, it would help to stop him.

(Basically, I am asking for my first upgrade...I am waiting for your approval boss!)

Allen sat cross legged in the center of his room on the floor, He focused his energy into himself going so far as to pull atoms of the air and ignite them before absorbing them, "Hmmm..." With his advanced intelligence pulling apart the atom particles was a fairly simple process. Allen looked down at the purple sword and breathed out slowly, "Lets see if I can do that again..." He focused super hard until a new form started appearing, Allen focused making it piece by piece until he was finished, now sitting next to him was a W.W.II deploy-able turret gun, complete with ammo drum, the first person to come through that door that wasn't a friendly was going to get filled with solidified nuclear energy. Allen could hear the noises and slowly focused his turret right on the door, "Let the game begin."

Al checked out the hallway, noting the way to the other nearby cells was clear. He was a little thrown off by Sky not knowing why they were captured, she wasn't out that long. "Allen went nuts when he thought his wife was dead, remember?" He absorbed the flames in the room and went out into the hall and went to the next cell already vacated. Time was of the essence so he just burst through the wall without a second thought with a blast of fire. Spade poked his head out of the newly formed hole cautiously but emerged fully when he saw Al. The black-furred alien shook the rubble from its fur and made a humming noise to show appreciation. "We need to find that guy with the arm and then go after Jack and Allen, then we get the hell outta here."

"Hey, fire dude. Down here. To your left." Jason yelled through the bars, since his cell was only two down from the others, he could hear the boy talking. "Come on. The blood from the guard is starting to stink over here." He says calmly, making the others aware that he had in fact, killed his guard.

Skylar shrugged in response to Al's question, keeping pace with his movements. "I didn't even know the guy was married." She said after a moment of thought, stopping in her tracks at the sight of the beast. "Aaaaw! You are still the cutest thing I have ever seen." She wrapped her arms as far as she could around its body before glancing back at Al. "Hey, does this guy have a name yet? I doubt he'd like us calling him 'it' all the time, would ya buddy?" The beast shook his head with what sounded like a snort. "I'd call you fluffy but that's not very intimidating. How about we call you Behemoth? Oooh, I know! Leviathan sounds pretty bad ass. What do you think Al?" Sky asked, keeping an ear out for the others. From what she could tell the walls were insulated, making it much tougher for her to listen through them but easier to locate differences in the shape of the walls. "I guess I just needed a bit of rest. This whole alien power thing might not be so bad after all. By the way, I think that guy is talking to you..."

Jack's new power manifested as a yellow aura surrounding his index finger. At first he was shocked, since he thought that they gained powers only once, but this turn of events proved that the powers they had were most probably in a primitive stage.

"We are still evolving...And that means more power for us, which is unsettling..." Jack thought, while still in his cell.

The commotion he heard before seemed to be a tad bit closer than before, making him think that it was most probably his team escaping. He rejected the idea of Allen going on rampage because, by now, the government would know better than still keeping them in their cells. So it should be Allen, or someone else escaping, but at least he was under control. What piqued his interest was how one or more of them could escape, since the rooms deprived them from their powers. For what he knew, he was powerless inside this organic prison, apparently making him the easiest target of them all, considering some, or all of the others escaped.

"Great...I am a sitting duck. For all I know, the others might not even find me. Or the government could try and kill me before I even had a chance to escape. Not that it would be useful to do so, considering I am not a powerhouse like Allen and Al." he thought.

He sighed. He wasn't even sure if he was to live for more than an hour. He sat down at one of the corners in the cells and remained there. It was the first time Jack felt helpless, without having a way out. He hugged his knees and whispered in a tone that only he could hear "I hope that at least the others will escape, even if I don't..."

Al scoped at the hallway again. Being kidnapped twice within the span of two days was really making him paranoid. He looked down at the beast again and shrugged. "Well he's not a fish so maybe we shouldn't call him Leviathan, I could get behind Behemoth though." When he was sure the coast was still clear he made his way to Jason's cell, stopping when he saw the dead guard. He frowned and stepped over the man. "Why the hell did you have to kill him?!" This was the very reason they had captured them in the first place. He had just wanted to go home he didn't was to kill people to do it. Still he couldn't very well leave Jason locked up, there was still Jack and Allen to free "Listen we don't kill people, Vitus are a completely different matter. Remember that." His hands lit up and he burned through as soon as he touched it. "Now let's go save the others."

Sugi quickly appears, not being seen at all in a long while, since they broke out of the glass holding chambers, infact. He steps calmly toward the group "Kidnapped aswell? I have been around here in my invisible state for quite a long time.." he sighs, before offering up a smile "There is no way out, if thats what your looking for, I doubt any of you can break a wall, there are no doors, windows nor gates."

Jason looked at the boy in front of him. "We don't kill them, yet they would kill us without a moment's hesitation. I will try not to kill them, but if the only way to ensure this group's safety if to kill one or more of them, I will." Jason says calmly before stepping out of his cage.

Al shrugged and rolled his eyes at Jason. "that's the best I'm going to get from you isn't it?" It would have to do for now anyway there was still Jack and Allen to save after all. He was surprised by Sugi's sudden appearance. He hadn't seen him since he ship. "Where the hell have you been?" He asked but didn't really care for the answer, the more backup they had the better.

A knocking resounded outside of Jack's cell and the door opened wide. A man wearing a general's uniform stepped inside following behind him was the female agent, pulling two chairs behind her. She placed one behind the man and unhappily moved and placed the other behind Jack. She went to stand behind the man as he sat down, who then made a motion for Jack to do the same. He then looked right at Jack. "Hello Mr. Spade my name is General Joseph Stone, I run this facility. I hear your a gambling man." Stone leaned closer in his seat. "So were going to play a game. I'm going to send my people to deal with yours, I'm authorizing dealy force now, and you have to convince me that you all could be trusted before they are all either detained or dead." He nodded to the agent and she grinned before walking out of the room, finally able to takedown the superpowered group. "Your time starts now Mr. Spade."

Sugi laughed "Oh you know, doing things that an invisible supernova does." Grinning, He quickly disappears momentarily "Gained powers nicely actually." He hovers his hand over the wall, shadows encumbering its surface likes tendrils, he then quickly bunches his hand into a fist,a large section of the wall being thrown outward "On an island. Surrounded by nothingness. How fitting" He murmurs, staring into the deep dark abyss.

Jack sat on the chair before him and listened to the general's words carefully. He checked the chairs and, to his surprise, they were inorganic, thus allowing him to use his powers. However Jack didn't try to do so, instead being silent while the general was speaking.

"Sly bastard...He must have purposely brought inorganic chairs to see what course of action I would take. Apparently, he is much smarter than the average soldier. That means that every word I say and every action I take, might as well be the last."

Stone finished talking, making himself rather clear about his intentions. Jack took a couple of breaths and then replied:

"Mr Stone, with all due respect, I don't think that deadly force will get both sides anywhere. If we take on the facts and the events that occured thus far, I remember Vitus kidnapping people and attacking the planet effortesly, even in the army's presence, while a bunch of untrained civilians and most of them children I might add, took down a Vitus spaceship, along with it's crew while beat up and exhausted from experiments on them. My point is, if your deadly force as you called it, isn't enough to take a Vitus ship down, then I don't see how it can go against our team. However, I am not a stupid man myself. I am convinced that your team might as well be the best there is when it comes to global threats and I don't want either group, nor yours or mine, to have casualties, thinking that instead of fighting each other we should focus at the common enemy."

Jack took a couple more breaths and licked his dry mouth, before continuing

"You asked me if I could convince you to trust us...With just one of my men turning a whole city into a quarantine because of his radiaton, the answer is clearly no. I know that we are too dangerous to be left loose, but, right now, it's not me who should gamble on trying to convince you, it's you gambling on us. And if it's not enough for you, I think that the lady that was standing behind you could be the one monitoring my team and report back to you. She seems to despise us enough, making her the most objective judge, since she will not tolerate even the smallest misbehavior."

Jack's eyes shined as he said his last sentence.

"I promise you this Mr. Stone. If, in any case, even a single member of my team turns rogue, I will come myself to you and be arrested. This is as much as I can offer..."

[WeepingLiberty]

Sky jumped at the sudden appearance of another person, a small shriek escaping her lungs. "What the hell?! Who are you?" It appeared as if the guy was a friendly, someone Al knew from back on the Vitus ship they were on. "If there is always a way out, otherwise we would never have gotten in." She added, slamming both palms against the floor which was considerably less padded than the rooms they were walking by. "Al, we've got trouble." Sky called out, eyes still shut as she focused on feeling a way out. "Those soldier guys... I don't think they're running away anymore. I still can't find Jack, he might be in one of those sound proof cells." Standing up, Sky rubbed the tingling from her hands and looked to Al for some sort of direction.

Al tensed when Sky said the soldiers weren't running. "Well we're just going to have be careful then, they may think they have something on us but we're stronger than them." Before he could say anything else a strong gust of wind blew in from the end of the hall. It blew him straight off of his feet and he could tell there was something unnatural about it. Confirming his suspicions the female agent emerged from the shadows of the far end of the hall and walked slowly over to them. His eyes widened watching the air around her swirl around as if she was in the middle of a tornado. She was one of them!

Allen closed his eyes and thought carefully, "I have to get out and rescue my friends..." His English accent was made stronger by the stress in his situation, "The Guard won't come in unless they think I've escaped," Allen started focusing until he had solidified a sheet of white made from his Nuclear Energy, then he let the Gatling gun fade so he could make himself a projector which he then made play the image of an empty room. After that was done he turned and let out an e.m.p. explosion to let the guards know he was trying to escape.

Al was having a very shitty few days. First he had been captured by aliens, experimented on, and even after escaping he had to stop one of his allies from nuking the entire state, and third he found himself once again caged again. Right now he wished he was back in any one of those situation. Another strong gust of wind pushed him back, he managed to stop himself from hitting the hall thanks to some flames. He had been trying to fight the agent but she was skilled and definitely had more control over her powers than he did. Another gust and he barely dodged. When she had appeared he had ran hoping to draw her away from the others but he had never expected she'd catch up to him so fast. "it must be like how I use my fire to fly, she uses her wind to move faster." The hallways were cramped and with her constantly at the head of them she turned every single one into a wind tunnel before he could even get a shot off. He hated to say it but it was definitely going to take a miracle to save him. She hadn't said a word since they had started their game of cat and mouse merely laughing every time the ran into each other again.

Now she had chased him into a hallway with one sole door. He covered his body in flames in attempt to finally go on the offensive but she was too quick and he was sent flying right into the single door. The single door that was keeping Allen contained, as soon at the giant fire ball that was Al collided with the door it melted and flew of the hinges.

General Stone laughed as he removed a cigar from his jacket. "Well said Mr. Spade!" He lit his cigar before offering one to Jack. "I think everything you just said was genuine and I agree with you wholeheartedly that the Vitus are the real threat. The only thing I don't agree with it is that you said you have nothing better to offer, which I believe you do." He crossed his legs and leaned back. "If one of your team goes out of control and we have you in custody what does that solve? Nothing! So I'll ask you one question, Mr. Spade: if one if your team wen rogue, could you kill them?"

Jason had been following the wind lady for some time now. Now he stood very close behind her, and his metal arm could be heard shifting the plates round as it powered up for a heavy hit. "Hey. Bitch." He growle and moved faster than any other human could, the sound of metal cplliding with the back of her head echoing as she flew forward and hit a wall. Hard.

Jack accepted the cigarette the General offered and lit it up with a match provided to him as well. He shaked the match to put out it's fire and took a deep sip of smoke, while listening to the General. He was blowing the smoke out when Mr. Stone asked him if he was ready to kill one of his own. He took another sip and then answered:

"I am a man who can take difficult choices, should the situation needs me to do so. I am not a murder Mr. Stone, but, should it be nescessary, I will do everything in my powers to incapatitate any threat...", he paused a little "...even if it is us."

The agent hit the wall thanks to Jason's attack but used her powers to cushion her fall and some more lessen the blow that struck her head. The air around her picked up and she started to levitate off the ground. "You're going to wish you didn't do that!" With a flick of her hand, blades of highly pressured wind flew at Jason. Al was too dazed to do anything about it.

General Stone similed. "That's exactly what I wanted to hear. " he extended his hand to Jack. "Are you ready to finally take the fight to the Vitus?"

The gusts of wind took Sky by surprise. She wasn't aware anyone else had powers like they did, or that anyone else had been taken and returned. The thought made her uneasy, that they would have hidden such a thing from the public. Didn't they have a right to know about events like that? Then again, this country wasn't known for its transparency. A rather forceful gust threw her back against the wall, knocking the breath from her. When she focused on her surroundings again, Al had taken off down another corridor and the new guy was chasing off after the woman. Not wanting to be left behind, she scrambled to her feet to rush after them but the soldiers that had been behind the woman rounded the corner swiftly. "Great." She groaned to herself, backing herself up against the wall. Looking around at her situation, she realized the walls closest to her were made of metal, it was the insides of the rooms that were padded. Taking a deep breath Sky let out as loud of a scream as she could muster, focusing her mind on the direction of the sound. Picturing it in her head, she could see the waves bouncing between the walls like a bouncy ball, building in strength before she willed the mass forward. The soldiers before her, despite the earplugs they had taken precautions to wear, were holding their heads and chests as is the noise has shaken their very bones. "Never doing that again." She winced regretfully, feeling the beginnings of a migraine in her brain. Clutching the side of her skull, she charged the stunned group of men and began lashing out at heads, knocking out the men with hesitant kicks. "For the record, you came after me. This is self defense." She spat conclusively, jogging in the direction of Al and the other guy.
