Stephanie had just nodded before going outside. It had been her lawyer, informing that the police was looking for her again. Of course that was barely something to shrug at if it were just a simple routine, where the cops would ask questions about her and she would manage to answer the way they really wouldn't get anything out of it, but what got her off was the fact she was not the suspect this time, but the victim.
Apparently someone had noticed a girl looking a lot like her being abducted during the evening and since the same deputy had seen her so recently, the details the bystander had given had been similar to Stephanie. It was supported by the fact she hadn't been answering to her cell phone, nor was she found in her home during the night. Apparently the investigators were at her home right now to search clues when realizing Stephanie, or at least someone, had used the place during the really late hours, or really early hours along with drops of blood. Good thing about it was the fact Stephanie was now patched like new, so she could make up another story quite reliably, bad thing was now she couldn't even guess what was cause of the wound... or more importantly, who.
