I was thinking more like he'd enter the store and see that Taffy had a new hat, knowing that she is a sly bitch and ask her where she got it from. She probably owes my character a favour (insert dirty joke), and gives the hat to me so I can return it to you.

Buying the hat for myself and being all "No, MAH hat, you hobo!" is alright too XD
