The OOC! is waiting for you!

So, re-opening this based on some advice that it may help to draw in some more people to our little Rp. Most of the information is layed out in the OOC but to summarise, the Rp will exist in a world formed from a handful of selected Disney universes, mostly the more European ones to create a singular fairytale universe where each of the Disney worlds will be placed in the approximate real world setting in which they belong.

Here's a MAP which ought to make things clearer.

The story will be focusing on a group of Disney Fairies (who are, among other things, responsible for weather, nature and the changing of seasons) attempting to put right a slightly AU version of the eternal winter Elsa spreads across Arendelle (which will be gradually spreading to the other realms in our Disney fairytale universe).

Along the way, our band of fairies will encounter all manner of other Disney characters and locations all while facing horrible dangers and only being about six inches tall!

What shall they use to perform this amazing feat? Faith, trust and pixie dust!

Oh, wonderful! I know Disney is popular but the Disney Fairies is quite the niche little fandom it seems. It's great to have someone interested!

I haven't had a chance to get my hands on any of the books, but I've seen all of the movies and read a comic. I've heard that the novels are really great and for me, too, the Disney movies are a religion unto themselves.

Anyway, now that I've got another person in, I'm trying to convince a friend of mine to join, he loves Disney but isn't sold on the fairy thing, if I can get him and then at least one other person, we could make this happen. I was hoping for five including me, but four could make it work.

My interest was tickled the second you brought up the fairies hahaha. Other than the typical frost, garden, animal etc. fairies, I assume we'll be able to make our own elements as well? Cus I'll pretty much be sold if I could use a male pyro or music fairy lol. I know/watch Disney movies and am honestly not that big of a fan, but I really like the plot idea you have going on here.

Side question though: any expectations on posting frequency?

Wait wait, so you're a fan of Disney Fairies, but not Disney movies as a whole? That's interesting, haha.

It's unfortunate you're not overly fan-ish for Disney, you'll miss a bunch of the little tidbits I intend to include in the Rp but I guess that'll be evened out by getting to play around with fairies. And yes, people are free to come up with their own talents and both a fire or a music fairy sound like totally reasonable concepts for talents. I kinda thought of the conductor of the animal orchestra in The Lost Treasure during the scene where the 'drama fairies' as I like to call them :P do the play about the mirror as a music fairy. Though on the Disney Fairies Youtube channel there's shorts of both Fawn and Silvermist doing similar things. Anyway, feel free to run with it.

I also really like the pyro idea. I can just see them working alongside storm fairies. Storms make the lightning and the fire fairies set stuff alight. There's a potential for really neat stuff since fire is both destructive and creative, helping things grow in its wake. I wonder if the other fairies would understand that.

As for posting frequency, I hope for this Rp to be slow but steady, meaning I don't need daily posts but every few days on a regular basis would be great. I'm thinking about a three day period max between posts under normal circumstances, any more than a week without word and I'll start asking questions. So yes, a relaxed pace (in my opinion, anyway) but regularity is the key to not getting bogged down.

Anyways, I hope for at least one more person but I think at this point I'll begin the groundwork for the OOC page since I intend for it to be a bit more thoroughly written than this one.

I should have clarified a couple of things actually haha. My mum and I are both extremely huge fairy-lovers, so getting into the Disney Fairies doesn't take too much. XD I really love the lore behind them. I watch almost every Disney film that makes it to the big screen though, just not super crazy about the princess films to be honest, but I know the lore well enough and can brush up on anything necessary through Wikias and rewatching. :) I am nuts over quite a few films though, like Hercules and some Pixar ones like A Bug's Life. <3

But I completely understand if this ends up scaring you off from taking me in, since it would be more beneficial to have more Disney-rehearsed writers. XD;

I'm stoked you like the idea of a pyro fairy! :D If anything I was hoping to have a pyro fairy with a cooking quirk hahaha (basically fairy-fying an oc), but I can play around with his not-so-destructive quirks and all more too. :) Music was chucked in as a backup ahaha, but I do know what you're referring to!

I like that you're aiming for this relaxed but not too relaxed pace. :D I'm glad I asked! Haha.

Welcome, Jack! Haha, liking Disney Fairies is nothing to be ashamed of and I'm really glad you're interested in the Rp, looks like this really might happen.

I too think the lore is really well developed and fun, Rex, and I think the better movies in the franchise are one par with regular Disney movies. The Disney Princess movies will be the main focus of the lands we visit. I think Hercules could be a bit TOO anachronistic in this Rp but A Bug's Life could certainly be worked in.

And no no, I am not scared to accept you, I just meant that you might not get as much enjoyment out of the Rp as a die-hard Disney fan but that's fine, if you're up for it I'm more than happy to have you.

Hah, pyro-cook sounds interesting, I shall enjoy meeting him.

Yes, I don't like when people expect players to devote a large portion of their time to their Rp, sometimes people feel under pressure and disappear but if the gaps between posts start to get TOO long, then people get bored. I think striking a nice balance is important to keeping the Rp alive.
